thanks for joining us on this wet saturday evening. >> in tonight's headlines, a library in the east bay is standing by the decision to host a drag queen storybook reading. they received criticism online after announcing the event on facebook. officials say it will ultimately be the parents's decision to let kids participate. >> a major storm in southern california turning streets into rivers and mandatory evacuations were issued in areas like malibu, scarred by recent wildfires. more than 100 weather-relate ed emergencies were reported across los angeles. >> our downpour made driving dangerous and left danger in the north bay. heavy rain made a mess of the roads. high tides combined with all that rain cut off access, putting miller avenue under water. >> 35 years and i have never seen a flood like this.
