>> announcer: now an accuweather from abc7 news. >> snow continues to sweep through the area. hears a look at live doppler 7. you can see how widely the scattered showers are. there is a lot of snowfall right now above 2000 feet in the higher hills and elevations and peaks around the bay area. especially over in the inland east bay there, and the east bay hills, napa county, solano county. check this out. mount hamilton, all the way through the diablo range, too. there is a lot of snow above 2000 feet. of course, the cold air is producing snow as the pockets of moisture come through. those pockets of moisture becoming more widely scattered. the storm ranks 1 on the storm impact scale. now through tomorrow morning we can expect more occasional showers, brief downpours and a chance of thunderstorms.

this is abc "world news tonight" with david muir. good evening and it's great to have you with us on a very busy monday night. and we begin tonight with new images of the deadly plane crash in california. authorities revealing new details about the five people killed when that plane slammed into a home just after takeoff. dash cam video shows the final moments, the plane bursting into flames in midair, then crashing into that neighborhood. the pilot and four people inside the home were killed, as they were holding a super bowl party. the pilot's identity revealed just a short time ago, and abc's chief national correspondent matt gutman leading us off. >> reporter: tonight, those new images, that plane bursting like a meteoroid above southern california. look closely. you can see it was in free-fall
