returned home after their camping trip took a dangerous turn. they traveled from san francisco to the mendocino national forest and that's where they were stranded for five days. the ordeal started last thursday after a successful night of snow camping. mia herman and carlos decided to drive further into the forest when their car got stwuk no cell phone service. the couple was able to ration their food through the weekend. by monday, they were starting to get worried. >> so when it came 4:00 and

coldest to warmest. coldest lakeport 50. ukiah and livermore at 52. concord, fairfield, fremont at 55 degrees along with santa rosa. a lot of 53, 54s 30s about everywhere in the bay until you get to san francisco. low to mid-40s. watch out for the frost again. slight chance of fog tomorrow, which would mean another chance of black ice. i'm tracking this storm moving through the gulf of alaska. grabbing the cold air and bringing it down to us. not a ton of rain. but enough to cause issues. especially friday morning in the north bay. we'll have light to moderate rain. moving into the heart of the bay in the end of the commute, south bay you may escape it. after that, it rains all throughout the day. waves of showers that will continue throughout the afternoon. taper a little bit as we head into the evening hours. but as we head through the weekend, hydroplaning a high probability of that.
