the hole opened up on highway 34 on . from the raging river in santa cruz last night. rescue ers had difficulty finding them at first. one called in using a cell phone and the call dropped several times. gps nailed down the location and they pulled them out of the water. one had to go to the hospital. >> from that to sun. which broke through today. but get ready, there's more rain in the forecast. >> let's check in now. with meteorologist drew. >> the rain and the snow it is done for tonight. but earlier this morning, it did bring a winter mix in our hills. live doppler 7 the active sweep is quiet. look at this. snow reports today around the

it will make the repairs this week as long as the weather allows for it. you hay recall thursday concrete chunks fell from the upper deck onto the lower. one struck a car. this led to multiple closures and the entire bridge shutting down for hours. while they raced to put an emergency fix in place. >> police shot and killed a man that officers claim threatened them with a handgun. we were at the taco bell. where people place candles near where the man was shot. police say a worker called 911 reporting a man unresponsive inside the car. stopped in the drive through. the man began moving and reached for gun and they opened fire. >> one of the most important vaccines out there. some folks in the bay area are running into problems getting protection from shingles. >> details about the deadly plane crash. what we now know about the pilot.

in the east bay, friends have named the pilot who was killed when his single engine

plane crashed into the side of the mountain. sometime friday night or early saturday morning. friends identified 48 year-old chris bar as the victim. they provided this photograph of him and said he loved muse and i can was a motorcycle enthuseiest. had he just taken off from the airport. recovery crews were at the crash site today removing his body. faa investigators will determine why that plane went down. >> the beloved son-in-law of walt disney and former ceo of the walt disney company has died. the family museum shared the news of ron millers death on twitter. he was president of the board of directors and owner of a vine yard in napa. he married disneys daughter and played professional football for the rams. ron miller was 85. >> there sa shortage of a new

on the storm impact scale. that's how low the chance it. we're tracking a strong storm widespread rain, widespread wind coming here. on wednesday. so midweek it turns stormy once again. in your opinions in terps of rainfall over the weekend. we saw a healthy dose. san jose close to three quarters of an inch of rain. livermore less than that. but over two-thirds. san francisco and mountain view half an inch. oakland shy of that. certainly we saw a good amount of rain the past two days. temperature wise though, it is cold out there. it was a chilly afternoon. and tonight the evening numbers are falling into the 40s already. a couple 30s like clear lake. cold at 38. the numbers will continue to plummet over night. the call from over 12 hours a lot of cities fall into the 30s. another cold night out there. we will be dry over the next 12 hours. live doppler 7 along with

satellite. there's the storm system. sinking to the south into southern california. the snow is ending in the sierra. some spots picked up three feet of snow the past 24 hours. what we're watching will zoom in to the northern coastline. you see around there's a couple isolated sprinkles that could move in to the north bay tomorrow afternoon. future weather tomorrow morning it's a quiet start to the morning. it's a mix of stars and clouds. into the late morning early afternoon, there you can see future weather in the north bay trying to pop up a sprinkle. it won't be intense. it will be light if one pops up. and very isolated in nature. most spots tomorro you're dry. you won't see any wet weather on monday. temperature wise still slightly below average for the time of year. it will feel cool. low to mid-50s in the afternoon. wednesday we're tracking our next storm. it's a level two moderate system here. into midweek. and the early call on rainfall.

likely half inch to an inch and a half of rain. widespread in and the wind gusts will be an issue with the storm. we'll continue to monitor this. fine tune the numbers as we get closer. wednesday it will be wet and it will be windy. the 7-day forecast there's the slight chance in the north bay tomorrow. cloud cover here on tuesday. wednesday there's the rain that wind. that level two storm system. thursday right now it looks dry for valentines day. a lot of clouds. and the next chance of showers is friday and lingers into saturday. with a light level one storm. >> the warriors are without the services of iguodala tonight against the heat. the top reserve is out is tightness in his hamstring. this is cute. what is not miami opened up with a run early. and white side is going to finish the ally oop. warriors trail by 17.
