its lowest levels. the system is struggling to modern and expand with the growin population. so today we are covering a day on b.a.r.t. riding every line on the system and talking to riders about issues they face as well a the possible solutions. abc 7 news reporter amy hollyf boarded the train at the antioch station. she has been making her way across the bay area. she wa in walnut creek at 5:45 this morning, so just a few minute ago. this is something she posted on twitte saying this the view of the parking lot and there still are spots there left this mornin she also noted she was waiting on the platform at the walnut creek b.a.r.t. station and she could smell marijuana saying someon was taking a hit at 5:45 right before boarding the train. we also have our multi-media journa juan carlos guerrero taking part in our day on b.a.r. and he started in daly city making his way down to san

buildi a better bay area, we're putting the spotlight on the city and county of santa cruz and the dire homeless crisis there. about 150 people alone live at this homeless encampment. today local government officials will discuss possible locations for additional shelters and more homele services. a new plan under consid would increase by at lea 100. the plan calls for the entire camp along highway 1 and river street to be cleared by march 15th. abc 7 news so with some homeless people who said they would rather live on the streets instea of shelters where there . >> i do believe if they were to shut this place down and they would be back on the streets of sand cruz.

we wer five minutes late. the train operator did announce we wer going through orinda becaus track issues. he was very soft-spoken so i only caught every other word. someth about a track issue we went slower. so five minutes late. here is some video of my journe it does pay to travel early, that my mine-of-main issue i learne this morning, even at 4:48 in antioch this morning the trains were full. all th seats were full. there room, though, for standi room only. obviou the closer we got to the city, the more crowded it got but it was still manageable. now, b.a.r.t. started a new schedu just yesterday. they a starting an hour late, their services, every day for the next few years because of earthq retrofit. i asked a man on board about the crowds he sai that is definitely making a difference. >> went through the schedule change hopefu they will get more trains
