we want to go over to reporter amy hollyfield live with a look at conditions in marin county. amy? >> reporter: good morning, reggie. we're driving right now to get a sense of what it's like out here for you. it has been raining for hours. check out the conditions here. we have hit some standing water as we've been driving as you do want to be very careful as you head out. we are northbound on highway 101. we are headed to santa rosa to check out the area there. we have heard of issues there. including this mudslide. this happened on mark west springs road in north santa rosa. they did clear the rocks and the debris out of the way. so the road is open. but the ground is so saturated from all of the other rains that we've had this season. officials are worried that they will see more slides like this one that rained all night long in santa rosa. officials expect to see some standing water and flooding in city streets. they want to put out a warning that you should not try to drive through standing water.

>> we have good faith in our cars and our big trucks. but sometimes the water is just too much and we don't really know what's going on under the water. maybe there's something there you'll get hung up on. >> reporter: now, take a look at this that came down in occidental. this is around midnight on coleman valley road. some power lines came down with it. pg&e got the power turned off there. the fire department cleared out the tree. took them an hour and a half. all lanes are open. it is still raining. sonoma county officials are worried about flooding. they have put signs up around in the area to warn people to be careful. especially because of those burn-scarred areas. they'll be keeping a close eye on those areas today and they want to warn everything everyone that they need to be careful. reporting live, amy hollyfield. here's a look at live doppler 7. this is one of several features you can use on our abc 7 news

we have a potential flooding event going on. it's a flood advisory until 8:30 this morning. all the areas in the dark green this morning, urban and small stream flooding. it means rivers, streets will turn into rivers. it means the smaller creeks could overflow the banks until 8:30. the storm is touching the entire state today from border to border with heavy rain and heavy mountain snow. we'll have rain mixed with snow today and tomorrow in the sierra. so slippery but all snow friday and saturday. it will be heavy. caution to don't even try it. my best advice for traveling in the high country. jessica? >> mike, thank you. this morning amazon and general motors are reportedly teaming up. >> they're set to invest billions in an electric truck company. here's techbytes. >> in today's tech bites. a boost for an electric pickup truck. >> reportedly in talks to -- reuters says an announcement may be made this month.

notice the heaviest is heading to so cal. they have the greatest chance of debris flow and mudslides. we'll have our own, especially across the north bay. especially look at this. 7:00 in the morning. reds, that's almost the highest intensity on our future radar. we still have yellows around until noon. notice it does break up just a little bit, a steadier lighter to moderate rain through the evening hours. everything is going to be wet for the evening commute. towards the end of the commute, a chunk of energy comes in. the flood gates open once again. of moderate to heavy rain tonight through tomorrow morning. the commute can be almost as bad as this morning's commute. >> you can throw this into tomorrow. flooding on roads. hydroplaning. the heaviest, the fastest haven't picked up yet. we're getting into the initial stage of mudslides and debris flows. we're starting to see small creek flooding up in the north
