champion. >> and william scott tweeted his condolences saying he was deeply saddened to learn of adachi's passing. the search has been suspended for the night for a woman buried in a cliff collapse. >> it happened at ft. funston. as you may know, our reporter is live on the scene. >> reporter: thank you. that's right. firefighters left the scene a couple hours ago. they tell us recovery efforts will continue tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. >> with shovels and even the bare hands, over 60 firefighters and some bystanders worked for hours to rescue a woman buried under the sand. >> bystanders were telling us that they observed two female dwults a intodayine walking along the cliff side. they were articulating that they had their hand up against wall and it gave way. >> reporter: the first victim was taken on sf general with nonlife threatening injuries.

fire officials brought in search dogs to the scene in homes of finding the second victim. they stayed quiet and waited to see if they heard anything from under the land slide. they even tried to victim's cell phone to no avail. >> we're suspending the search operations and we'll be moving to it a recovery operation. what this means is we'll be having cadaver dogs coming in. >> he was on his way home when he got a notification about the land slide. he grabbed his shovel and got to the scene to help. >> somebody's family member. try to dig. heart broken. >> he says for hours, firefighters worked together and formed a perimeter to dig every inch of the land slide until the very last minute. >> a person down there right now. they're trying.

the 91st academy awards show is this sunday. one of the biggest movie the watch, black panther. in hollywood with the three local men hoping to pick up one of those awards. >> so much excitement in los angeles. just two days before hollywood's biggest night. i want to you look at all the preparations happening behind me. it has taken a team of six people almost a week to put down the red carpet alone. there's been a lot of excitement for the bay area, be just because ryan kugler is up for black panther, but for three bay area sound mixers who i sat down to talk about the magic they did on the film. one of the biggest elements making it a blockbuster success -- is something you may not have even been aware of.

going on. it is the year of the pig and rain is supposed to be good luck. it has rained on many years but not this year. 4:00 p.m., sun and clouds, 54 degrees. the temperatures will start to come down. low 50s later in the evening. a good idea to dress in layers so you're prepared for the cooler weather. next week, be prepared for the cooler weather. the showers begin as we head into monday night. rainfall intensity picks up. into tuesday, shifting toward the north bay and across the entire bay area going into wednesday and some scattering showers. when all this is done, there are two possible solutions. this one is pretty wet. one to over five inches of rain for the entire bay area with an atmospheric river. the second is a much drier solution. anywhere from a quarter to a half an inch some of the places will pick up an inch to two inches. two different solutions. it will depend on where the storm goes. if the first one verifies our storm concerns will be very high
