5:48 am
your windshield to certainly thaw by the time you get outside because that sunshine will mitigate those temperatures pretty early this morning. but as we look at the current numbers, 44 san francisco, 41 in oakla oakland, 37 mountain view, 34 in san jose with 30 in gilroy. 39 in half moon bay. check out the north bay, it is cold with 32 in santa rosa, 33 in napa, 34 at novato, the delta. look at that, 39 in concord with 31 in livermore. so the exploratorium camera shows a pretty quiet look in san francisco, but with the cold numbers this morning, it is probably going to be a little tough to get out of bed, so you may want to stay there for a while. look at the 24-hour temperature change. from the east bay to the south bay, you're probably feeling that chill this morning. but we do have a lot of sunshine on the way to start the day so you may want to get out there and enjoy it because increasing clouds will be with us, especially in the north bay, and then once again it's almost like deja vu. we have a system coming down from the north, a system from

can't come into agreement this far out. looking at an inch and a half to 3 inches in the valleys and less than a half inch perhaps in those rain shadow areas of the south bay. so as we get through your monday, it gets increasingly wet. into tuesday you've got the wet weather and even wednesday. it looks like we'll see a break on thursday but another push of moisture headed our way into next weekend. so this is very far out. things will change. we're looking to add wind in addition to the heavy saturated grounds with the rain coming down, perhaps heaviest in the north bay. so by thursday looking at the conservative model, almost 2 inches in the north bay, less than that in the south bay. probably shouldn't even show you that because the other one is so wild that we can't come to consensus. but anyway, winter storm watch for this system monday into wednesday, 5 to 12 inches above 5,000 feet. chinese new year parade dry, temperatures in the 50s. it will get chilly but with clouds increasing it shouldn't be too bad in the city.
