2:00, san ramon. 53 san francisco. tonight, we're still dry. the boundary layer to the north will stay there, that's the problem. we'll see excessive rainfall in the north bay. we'll talk about it for the rest of the bay area and the week ahead in a few minutes >> lisa, thank you. an autopsy on the body of san francisco public defender jeff adachi is expected today or tomorrow, one day after his sudden death. abc 7 news obtained the police report. adachi was 59 years old. abc 7 news reporter dan noyes has more. >> reporter: i spoke with san francisco city and county officials. they're saddened and stunned by jeff adachi's death. he leaves behind a wife and a daughter. this police report provids new details of what happened friday evening. the incident report obtained by the abc 7 i-team says a female who identity herself at cat caterina called 911 at 5:41 p.m.

friday. police responded. but the officers, now en route, were called off. the medical examiner's office telling them they did not have reason to believe it was a crime scene but the death was still under investigation. officers deemed that to be suspicious, so they continued to the ground floor apartment, took these pictures and spoke with witnesses. one woman told police she had known adachi for ten years, that he asked to use the apartment, and she gave him keys. that same woman told police she received a call from caterina who sounded hysterical and told her something was wrong with jeff. caterina said she had been to dinner with adachi when he complained of stomach pains so they took an uber back to the apartment. he became unresponsive and she called for help on his phone. police photos show the apartment interior, an unmade bed, cannabis gummies, and two syringes that may have been left by paramedics. the office of the chief medical

examiner is the lead agency in the death investigation, sfpd is assisting. this is a death case with cause to be determined. there are no signs of foul play. the police report says paramedics arrived ten minutes after the 911 call, started cpr, took adachi to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. one curious picture from the police file is a receipt for two t-shirts from just this past wednesday at a mall in bowing b colombia. clearly more answers to come. from the i-team, dan noyes, abc 7 news. >> jeff adachi's death surprised neighbors of the north beach residence where investigators were sent. several say they saw an ambulance and fire truck around 6:30 friday night. san francisco's police commissioner lives a block away. he says he doesn't think adachi spent much time in the area. >> i was setting up on my couch last night dealing with all of the phone calls and texts and

removed by the strong ocean currents. >> yesterday heavy equipme beloe ft. funston bluffs to dig through the remaining sand and dirt in hopes of finding the woman's body. the victim was in her 20s. she had been walking her dog with a friend on friday when the land benooeeath the two gave wa. the friend and the dog survived the collapse. as regulars to ft. funston know, the area is prone to landslides. but friday's incident was the first to involve a human casualty. this video from december 14 shows land giving way southwest of the great highway. a man visiting from dallas captured the moment on his cellphone. no one was hurt during that incident. the national park service reminds visitors to be extra cautious when visiting coastal areas. a judge has so the the bond for singer r. kelly at $1 million. he's accused of sexually abusing four females in a 12-year

timespan between 1998 and 2010. abc 7 news reporter lindsey davis has the details. >> reporter: r. kelly behind bars this morning. a chicago judge calling the allegations against the once-acclaimed r&b singer disturbing, setting bond at $1 million. r. kelly's attorney telling the judge that kelly's finances are a mess and he currently has no income. friday night kelly emerged from his recording studio in chicago to turn himself in, hounded by a mob of reporters. >> reporter: what do you want to say to your fans? >> reporter: kelly charged with ten counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault on four victims, some between the ages of 13 and 17, the alleged incidents occurring between 1998 and 2010. cook county prosecutor kim fox described r. kelly's interactions with each victim in graphic detail. >> the victim told r. kelly how old she was. he invited her to his house. >> reporter: r. kelly's attorney

fiercely refutes the allegations. >> we have no reason to believe these allegations are credible and we'll fight the charges. >> reporter: kelly, appearing before a judge, expressionless as prosecutor divulged the sordid details of an in naili i incriminal nail incriminating sex tape. inside the courtroom, kelly's two current girlfriends, who their parents both describe as being controlled by kelly. azriel's parents sat feet away from their daughter unable to get her to acknowledge them. any reaction from the clarys in attempting to contact her? >> it's a very emotional moment for them. they brought those two young ladies here today for the cameras. they brought them here in an effort to send a message that all is well with robert kelly and there's nothing untoward about his conduct.

>> reporter: lindsey davis, abc news, new york. patriots owner robert kraft is denying charges of soliciting prostitution. investigators say they caught him on camera in a sex act in a shopping center massage parlor in florida. police say they caught more than 200 men in a six-monh investigation. owners of the spa allegedly brought women from china as sex workers. new this morning, san francisco wants to help neighbors who live near music venues by soundproofing them. according to "the examiner," a new program would offer grants of up to $25,000. the money would go to bars, restaurants, and concert halls to sound proof their establishments. the program is scheduled to start later this year with an initial $150,000 to hand out. meteorologist lisa argen is tracking the rain that's on the way. but first we've got cloud cover out there and cool temperatures

will begin today. teachers began striking on thursday, demanding higher pay and smaller class sizes. they're asking for a 12% pay hike while the district is offering 8.5%. another issue is school closures. the union is preparing for the strike to last through the week. pg&e will not award $130 million in bonuses to its bows because of its bankruptcy filing. the interim ceo delivered the news on friday, according to "the chronicle." the president of the union representing many of the workers opposed the decision, saying it's unfair to punish workers who had nothing to do with the wildfires. sky 7 flew over the annual lunar new year street fair in san francisco's chinatown yesterday, a precursor to the chinese parade welcoming in the year of the pig. the 161-year-old tradition did not disappoint despite the chilly night.

7. weather-wise, it's cool outside. meteorologist lisa argen is tracking the forecast for us already hi, lisa. >> hey, chris, good morning to you. mist and drizzle in the north bay. the main event far to the north. we'll see two systems link up. the subtropical fetch and that system to the north which is the one that's going to cause the problems. it should stall out in the north bay. that's why the national weather service has issued a flash flood watch through thursday morning, starting tomorrow, for marin, sonoma, and napa. we're looking at potential river flooding for the russian river, the napa river, those creation and streams likely coming out of their banks, and some very gusty winds as we get into monday night and tuesday. so for tuesday and wednesday, it's a 2 on our storm impact scale. now, the highest elevations looking at an excess of 6 to 7 inches. but the valleys still a respectable 3, 4, possibly 5 inches in the north bay. the rest of the bay area, 1 to 2

inches for the early week time period monday to wednesday. so the rest of the day today, maybe some mist and drizzle, maybe a light shower in the north bay. early monday morning we've got showers in the north bay. and then by monday afternoon, the activity still hanging north of the golden gate bridge. a few showers south. it's the monday afternoon commute and into the evening hours when things finally and hopefully begin to sink south. the first day of this on monday, looking at 1 to maybe 2 inches north with only 0.2 in the bay area. a soggy tuesday morning commute. the afternoon is wet. the winds kick up had of we've already had a couple of inches in the north bay. wednesday, more heavy rain, maybe some urban flooding through the rest of the bay area. as we get into your wednesday night, things begin to become more widely scattered. right now, though, we are enjoying the dry start on the peninsula, sfo 50 degrees as well as oakland, mountain view, is and half moon bay.

happening today, the san jose sharks are out for blood but not on the ice. they're holding a blood drive. 200 people have registered to donate and help save lives. donors will receive two tickets to an upcoming sharks game and there will be other prices available. the blood drive starts at 10:00 at the east valley ymca in san jose. we're another step closer to taking regular people like you and me into space. virgin galactic did a test flight on friday with three people on board. this time it took beth moses, an astronaut trainer, and microgravity research expert. her job is to evaluate the trip and what passengers might go through. more than 600 people have already bought their tickets to go into space. youtube has pulled ads on d

developing news on that amazon prime air cargo plane crash in houston. this morning, federal investigators are trying to determine why the plane went down near bush international airport. the atlas air flight was 30 miles away when it crashed into trinity bay in chambers county yesterday. video shows debris scattered across the field. first responders reported seeing bedsheets, women's clothing, and other items consistent with cargo shipments floating in the water. the boeing 767 was headed to houston from miami. >> i've been told there were probably three personnel that were flying and operating the plane. obviously thes ntsb will confi that with the company. knowing what i saw, i don't believe anybody could survive it. >> last night ntsb and faa investigators arrived on the scene. crews have recovered one body from the wreckage. two more people on board the plane are feared to be dead.

and drizzle in the north bay. possible showers in the north bay is what really is going to get hit hard the next 24 to 48 hours. we're looking at rainfall amounts with this next system becoming quite excessive by monday night. here are the totals you can expect monday night. look at the green, representing over two ninchs frinches from n santa rosa. a couple of hundredths in gilroy, a third of an inch in gilmore. this system, depending on when it slides to the south, we'll see how much san francisco picks up. it looks like the event will stay north for much of the day. then by the evening hours, that's when everyone gets into the rain and even the wind. a live look outside from our roof camera. you can see it is defrgray out e and the wind is blowing. we're take a look this subtropical moisture fetch. marin, son onenly sonoma, a flo

watch. a winter storm watch for the west slopes and a wind watch for reno. so really it's going to get quite messy around here. bringing in our storm impact scale for the bay area tuesday and wednesday, it's a 2. 6 to 8 inches in the north bay mountains, that's high up and it's not likely this is going to spread much further south. even in the valleys of the north bay, 2 to 3 inches. so that's where we're going to get some problems from the russian river, the napa river, and some of the streams coming up out of their banks, some localized flooding, 1 to 2 inches the rest of the bay area. as we look at the forecast model for today, you can see a few areas of green in the north bay. by tomorrow morning, the rain still stays from santa rosa north. by lunchtime it is pushing into marin and sonoma and napa. then by the evening commute, everyone is wet overnight into late monday. we're looking at some heavier rain.

tuesday morning you've got a wet commute. by the afternoon it looks like we'll definitely see a windy factor of the storm come into play. wednesday morning we're wet. and by late wednesday, things begin to settle down a bit with lighter rain. but this is when we're going to see the rivers rise and potentially some flooding up in guerneville. thursday night, adding in the rainfall from monday to wednesday, 6 to 7 inches. santa rosa, calistoga. by the rest of the bay area, an inch and a third in oakland. santa cruz mountains picking up 3 to 4 inches. outside, a little has a sunshine from emeryville right now. it is 50 in mountain view. santa cruz getting into the rain tomorrow afternoon, a dry day today. 48 in petaluma. this is how much milder it is this morning. you probably feel the difference. and for the afternoon, we're going to hang onto the clouds. looking at a little bit of sun in the south bay. and then the rain and wind arriving late tomorrow through tuesday night. highs today, 57 in oakland.
