authorities located the man suspected of shooting and killing her husband john moore of danville. >> it was like, god, thank god. >> reporter: moore was gunned down sunday outside an office building he owned. three days later more than 2100 miles away, the suspect mark sypien pulled up to his parents' home. he shot himself in the head after he realized deputies were moving in. sypien died hours later. >> i'm glad he's no longer walking this earth and stalking anybody else and we're all safe. >> reporter: safety that was questioned because of the hostile past between sypein and the moore fame. the family had a restraining order against the suspected shooter. >> lots of people were frightened of him. >> reporter: frightened no longer. family and friends are hosting a candle light vigil on thursday to honor moore. 6:00 p.m. at the crow canyon medical center.

ball, i broken neck flipping into a phone pit. this man landed with such force on the perimeter of a trampoline, severing his foot from his leg. this teen suffered a severe brain injury after falling through a hole in a trampoline. >> what is your emergency? >> i see him trying to stand up and he goes, daddy! >> reporter: she remembers her son jeremiah's screams when he broke his femur at a new jersey trampoline park last may. >> broken jaws, broken necks, led to quadriplegia and death. you have kids that are just bouncing across a trampoline. they get to the end of a trampoline where it tightens up and their legs snap. >> reporter: dr. charles nozika at advocate children's hospital says he's seen an increase in trampoline-related e.r. visits. >> 60 to 70% of them are orthopedic injuries. most of them in the lower

extremities. the older kids tend to have more upper extremity injuries. >> reporter: the american academy of pediatrics advises against recreational trampoline use and says pediatricians need to actively discourage it. >> just getting on is dangerous. >> reporter: the international association of trampoline parks says safety is top priority and plans to implement its oensz more stringent standards in 2020. including third-party inspections, adding that government data shows that trampoline park injury rates are lower or about the same when compared to other youth sports activities. and that other contact sports like lacrosse and foot ball are more risky. >> that was jason noels reporting. southwest airlines is saying aloha to hawaii. today the faa a prochlpproved t airline to fly to hawaii from california. the flights will begin from oakland, sacramento, san francisco and san diego.

it will be in the coming days. >> enough already with the rain and more coming. >> sandhya patel has what's in store for us. sapped sandhya. >> i know he, people are wanting a break, dan and alma. tomorrow you will get that break. right now live doppler 7 showing you where it is raining. we are still hanging onto some spotty light showers in the east bay. you will notice from hayward into fremont, cedar boulevard, paseo padre parkway across dublin 580, dublin boulevard into livermore. really light stuff, but it wasn't like that, as you know, when the atmospheric river hit. the rainfall really added up in the north bay. the highest total over 21 inches in the last 72 hours. places like santa rosa, clear lake, hop land, over half a foot of rain. that's a lot of rain. 4.64 novato, over an inch, concord, oakland, redwood city, san francisco. if you were in the rain shadow of the santa cruz mountains, mountain view, san jose, livermore, you didn't get a whole lot of rain with this

system. here's a look at how we're standing in terms of season to date. since october 1st, san francisco now 108% of average. san jose 106, santa rosa a whopping 129% of average. mayor's office at field in oakland still behind this time of year. here's a look at the time lapse. the rain became gentler this afternoon and evening, but this up rain falling on saturated ground continued to cause problems along with the runoff from heavy rainfall many parts of the north bay dealt with. so these showers are going to start to ease up as we head into tomorrow morning. in the mountains it is turning to snow. several feet of snow has fallen. some roads are closed, some roads requiring chains not a good idea to try to travel. winter storm warning until 2:00 tomorrow. 5 to 10 inches around 5,000 feet. temperatures here in the 40s, 50s, you might notice it's a little cooler out there. that muggy air mass with the atmospheric river is long gone and we do have plenty of clouds

from our abc7 news explore or yum camera. showers overnight, drying out through friday afternoon and rain returns friday night. hour by hour we go, 11:30 tonight a few showers until 1:00 a.m., south bay east bay, by 5:00 a.m., mostly of this is gone. we will be dealing with patches of fog and clouds. 1:00 p.m., the skies will open up. we'll start to see some sun, especially in the north bay, and then at 4:00 p.m., some clouds will come back into the picture. first thing in the morning, 30s, 40s, clouds around, but cooler air mass so you will need to bundle up before you get going. and then for the afternoon, temperatures will b in the 50s. you will see some peeks of sun along with those clouds. you can download the accuweather app and track live doppler 7 and the temperatures any time you want. your weekend system, 5:00 a.m. saturday going into noon, and into the evening saturday is your wet day. it turns to scattered showers on sunday, and dhen we get another break coming your way on monday before another atmospheric river mid week.
