phone out of her. ch wu caren reaing aos his wifer anrhand.s to the ground as baer appears to wrestle the phone from her hand. we spoke to two witnesses who saw the commotion at the plaza today. they wouldn't go on camera but they saw the couple fighting. they said they brought coffee around the corner, they began arguing and baer was trying to grab a cellphone from his wife. the witness saw that he grabbed his wife and tipped her other on the chair. the witness added the three men tried to separate baer from his wife. baer provided also a statement to abc7 news saying regrettably today we had a heated argument in public over a family matter. we're deeply embarrassed by the situation and have resolved the issue.

oakland. >> leslie brinkley has details. leslie? >> reporter: the teachers i've soken to so far seem to indicate excitement and this might be it. this is what they hand med about ten minutes ago, a tentative agreement, how we won and how it builds our future. our historic strike has resulted in an amazing contract and policy victories. number one on the list, a living wage and an 11% pay bump with a 3% one-time added bonus as well. there were pickets all day outside this school near lake merritt. it appeared that striking teachers successful blocked board members from meeting there at 2:00 like they had planned. they were supposed to vote on cuts to their budge for the next school year totally almost 22 million dollars. the teachers blocked doors and gates. then word of the tentative agreement filtered out and oea leadership staged a press

conference. >> we won an 11% salary increase with a 3% bonus on ratification. we forced the oakland unified school district to invest in our teachers in oakland, which will give our students experienced teachers in our classrooms. we have also made investments for our substitute teachers in oakland, which will help with the teacher attention crisis. >> reporter: and i can tell you some of the reaction from union leadership i spoke to talked about this being true to their core values, what they were fighting for here in oakland. included in the deal from what i could tell from the paperwork, they'll face a reduction in paperwork for counselors, more ps reduction in

it shoes officers rescuing a frigid man in freezing water trying to save his dog. >> reporter: intense body camera footage shows chicago police trying to help a man who fell into ice. he fell in trying to save his dog. he got stuck between large crashing waves and large blocks of ice too slippery to crawl over. after a 911 call from a woman on the beach at least fivego police officers >> a lot of wave action, windy, the temperature zwluft above freezing. >> with the man yelling his hands were starting to go the officers didn't hesitate lying down to form a human chain using a dog leash to try to pull him out.
