r gelle, ville, montorio, je going to add to the issues there. radar over the golden gate bridge. this is what we're seeing a lot. some widespread radar. when i show you the weather window from the golden gate bridge it's not that wet. we have to wait for the center of energy to get closer. when it does we'll see an increase in rain. we'll do from light to moderate at times and a chance of thunderstorms in the evening hours from 4:00 to 10:00. breezy this afternoon and evening also. so here is a look at the golden gate bridge. you can see it's not all that wet. a lot of that rain is vap waiting right now, priming the atmosphere, so when we get past the deeper parts of the morning commute, it will start making it seey 7:00 in my accuweather forecast, the chance of thunderstorms and that's when heavier rain comes another check of the commute, here is alexis. >> good morning, mike. i just saw zipper trucks go through on golden gate bridge camera you just showed and looking at a pretty quiet start

for bay bridge toll plaza. we're hoping it stays that way. of course it probably won't once we get to about 5:20 here this morning. we'll see a little stack up in the cash lanes on the right side of the toll plaza but that's about it. drive times looking great. westbound 80, highway 4 to the maze, 16 minutes. san francisco to sfo in the green just nine minutes. biggest issue roadwork out of the central valley. we'll check on that next. >> thank you, alexis. developing poempb sacramento police arrested 80 protesters following a march demanding officers be charged in the death of stephon clark. >> people refuse to clear fulsome boulevard. at least five cars were keyed. one of those arrested while covering the protest, he was standing with several protesters when he got detained. sacramento county district attorney's standing by his

decision not to charge officers saying they used reasonable force. officers said they thought clark was holding a gun. it was actually a cell phone. the mayor released a statement that reads in part, i'm very disappointed the protest ended the way it did. i have many questions that went on that precipitated the order to disburse and the subsequent arrests. no member of the press should be arrested for doing their job. the democrats latest and most expansive investigation of president trump. the family and organization find themselves in the cross-hairs. here is elizabeth hur with details. >> reporter: good morning. democrats are asking for documents and meetings, even phone conversations. bottom line, they say they are just doing their job but the president calls it harassment. overnight the white house blasting democrats, calling their latest investigation into allegations of corruption, obstruction and abuse of power.

if they don't they willesh subpoenas. we've learned some of the people on the list have started handing over documents. elizabeth hur, abc news, new york. california is suing the trump administration over proposed changes to title 10, a family planning program for low income people. if the changes are approved, clinics would only be eligible for title 10 funding if they do not perform abortions or suggest where a patient can get one. people who support the changes say abortion is not family planning. under current law, title 10 funds cannot be spent directly on abortions. supporters of the lawsuit say this is about politics. >> what the president is attacking is gender equality and female autonomy. organizations that provide reproductive services don't just protect women, they enable us to control our own lis and pursue our own dreams on our own terms. >> at least 20 other states are expected to file lawsuits. happening today, doctors at a medical conference in seattle

will reveal more information about the second person who may be cured of the hiv virus. doctors at university college london gave the man bone marrow stem cells from a donor with a rare genetic mutation that resists hiv infection. after three years of no trace, another patient still hiv free. more on this story coming up in the next half hour. high school students in san francisco are coming together to help one of their own. a student who was injured in a car accident at emeryville last week that killed three of his siblings and mission high school soccer team won the division 5 championship. they visited him at the hospital to give him a medal. the team says the victory is in aaron's name. >> i know he's going to get better, so i just wanted to show him the plaque we got for him and the medal we fault for him

bankruptcy at a hearing in sacramento. our partner reports wildfires affected by bankruptcy grilled the utility at a hearing yesterday. they are demanding to know how and when the company will compensate victims. peg said it considered filing for bankruptcy months before actually starting the process in january. >> my accuweather, here is a look at temperatures along east bayshore from 48 in orinda, san leandro and alameda and hayward at 52 degrees. that cloud cover out there and some of the mist hanging in the air and rain evaporating as it reaches the ground, a homogenized air mass. upper 40s to 50 in the east bay. 49 at fremont. look along east bayshore and south bay, 50 to 52. 48 pacifica, dress for that in novato, sebastopol and napa 54 degrees. south on 680 looks pretty dry for now. your commute, all right, on the roads we'll have increasing rain through the morning into the afternoon hours.

mass transit, just be a rain manager today. on the bay we're going to have light breezes but also that wet weather. let's do through some of our neighborhoods, 12-hour planner starting at 8:00. east bay valley you can see scattered showers from 8:00 to 10:00, even a little break at noon for your lunch. that would be nice, wouldn't it? more scattered showers as we head into the afternoon and into the evening hours. here is a look at the south bay where we've got a little light rain moving in during the morning commute all the way up until 10:00. you've got a pretty big window of just cloudiness with some sprinkles from noon to 4:00 and then scattered showers from 6:00 to 8:00. and then we're looking at san francisco where we've got a chance of scattered showers and rain all day today. temperatures within a degree or two, 55 to 56 degrees. a little bit more rain on the way than what we dealt with yesterday and evenrroreow.it's s morning? >> we're okay with one exception. of course, it's the usual suspect. getting out of tracy 580 betwee

headed to the big sur coast today where they could have issues of heavy rain. look at that red, yellow and orange headed that way while we'll have light to moderate showers. temperatures in so cal reach mid to upper 60s. up in the sierra, 30s and 40s at 4:00 today through 10:00 thursday morning. winter storm warning heavy wet snow up to 4'. 50-mile-per-hour winds, limited visibility, and delays at that time. that's going to be the biggest game in town. we have light snow thursday, snow showers friday, saturday, sunday, pattern starts to taper come monday. be careful. >> mike, thank you. former "beverly hills 90210" star died from the massive stroke he suffered last week.

possibility of some puddles on the roadway. the bigger picture, this is where you get the thunderstorm chance when the low comes in with the greater energy. here we are this morning sbopt afternoon hours, not much. once we get to 4:00 tonight, the entire neighborhood have a potential for thunderstorms. 7:00, more areas yellow down to south bay and east bay valleys. that continues through noon. there will be a little bit of a lull after the first wave of heavier rain moves through and then you've got the chance during the evening commute at the end of it, there you go, scattered thunderstorms starting to roll in with reds, heavierni hours. can you see rainfall totals with this storm. not all that impressive, a quarter to half that. thursday we'll pull back down to a one and slight chance of rain friday and saturday. i'll show you tomorrow's storm hour by hour next. alexis. >> mike, taking a look at the

depending on tonight. some scattered strong showers, look at this, right at 4:30. that's when the downpour hits all of us. the earliest of our commuters tomorrow, you're going to have the worst, then some won'tipond the roadways through the rest of the commute. they turn to scattered showers for the rest of the day and into thursday when we'll taper back to a one. so after today's rain we've got even more rain from a third of an inch in the south bay to two-thirds around the bay to another inch up in the north bay. what we're looking at as far as any potential damage, maybe flooding on the roads high, everything low to none, which is nice. alexis. >> taking a look at the roads, we're looking mostly dry pavement this morning. there are a few areas where we definitely could have sprinkles or light rain pushing in but looking pretty dry here walnut creek, southbound 680 not seeing delays. north of the 24 split, everything looking okay there. flipping over to traffic maps and zooming in on the one spot.
