recent decisions not to charge the officers who shot and killed clark. however, nobody i spoke to was surprised that the attorney general's decision. the outrage tonight -- >> they want to talk about stephon clark. >> reporter: public comment quickly lly went into chaos aft the district attorney cleared two officers who shot and killed 22-year-old stephon clark last march. then tuesday, the califonia attorney general announced that his office would not be filing charges either. >> no justice, no peace! >> reporter: but much of the outrage was over this, 84 people were arrested overnight at the end oh of a march. >> i just let them take me. >> reporter: khalil fergusn was

arrested along with many others. police told them to disburse but left them nowhere to go. so when police took out their batons at the meeting in front of team who were arrested the night before, the anger reached a boiling point. >> i need you all to please, please put -- you are traumatizing us. >> i'm in pain right now. >> reporter: kevin ross was also arrested. he thinks there needs to be a consequence for the officers who shot a man seven times. >> we need to remove the officers who still remain on diet you duty in our communities. >> reporter: the mayor of sacramento did call for an

investigation into that police response. kate larson, "abc7 news." let's check out live doppler 7 right now, because the rain is very scattered and height in nature, but that's going to change. as we look at the radar, we'll get you into street level. i want to show you what's been happening here. just off our coastline, we've been watching thunderstorms developing that has died down. that doesn't mean there's not potential for more. let's track this batch of moisture heading into san francisco 12:28. and then into concord. so expect some brief downpours. light showers right now, heading across nevado boulevard. as you take a look, we have a flood watch here until noon tomorrow. burn scar areas may see flooding, so keep that in mind. here's a look at what's going to happen. the rainfall intensity picks up as we head into the morning commute, and so do the winds.

"abc7 news" was in guerneville where they're still cleaning up. today's round of rain isn't expected to cause flooding but the county is ready just in case. >> our emergency operation center is still staffed. we have lots of deputies and road crews on the road and we're ready to face any challenges. >> in nevado large pumps are working to prevent rain from swamping the road. the public works department says crews have cleaned 260 storm drains. caltrans is postponing prepares on the san rafell bridge again because of the rain. live doppler 7 is one of the most popular features on our

website right you now. it's a chance encounter in the north bay, leading to a new found friendship. a former sheriff's deputy reunited with the young man he rescued from a car crash in 2007. >> hey. >> reporter: these two are strangers, but share a common tragic moment. in sonoma county in 2007, a speeding driver crashed into the car, then 4-year-old christian flores was riding in. he was with his mother, older brother and another couple. >> he was the only survivor. he was cleared from the car just enough that his torso and head were reachable, but he was trapped. >> reporter: then deputy christopher thorpe, who has since retired from the sheriff's office, was first on the scene and pulled christian out.

the toddler lost an arm with third degree burns over 90% of his body, losing all his family members. now fast forward 12 years. christopher was here monday getting his tires rotated. and he noticed a familiar young man. he walked up and said, are you christian? the answer was yes. >> if it weren't for him, i wouldn't be here. >> reporter: thorpe was still shaken by the chance encounter. so he gave christian this, the medal of valor his department gave him for saving the young boy that day. >> he deserves that far more than anyone else. >> reporter: christian plans to place it below the photo of his older brother that died in the car that day. new details tonight about a

man facing rape charges in scotland who disappeared in monterey. u.s. marshals are not looking for him it turns out. last week, kim gordon's son reported him missing. police think he may have faked his own death. he faces 24 charges, including sexual assault of a child. deputies are not searching for him because he broke no laws in california. >> he's out on bail for these possible sexua assault charges, although it's not violation of his bail to be traveling. >> if gordon is not back in scotland for a court date on monday, a warrant will be issued for his arrest. a man from oakland who is accused of an attack on campus of uc berkeley faces three g felony charges. police charged him after the video of the attack went viral.

williams was recruiting members for a conservative group when greenberg attacked him. the city of piedmont held a meeting to discuss installing more cameras. they have installed dozens of cameras at 15 enter sections, but these are different. they would not transmit images to law enforcement. the city of piedmont opposed surveillance cameras in the past because of privacy concerns. you will not see a seat dedicated to civil rights pioneer rosa parks. muni rejected a request that the agency dedicate a permanent seat on all buses, rails and cable cars to parks. instead, they'll honor her in march with an ad and social
