negotiating session without an agreement. they do not have plans to meet today. the teachers have voted to authorize a strike. they have reached a tentative agreement on a pay raise. the sticking point right now is class size and ratios for nurses, librarians and counselors. >> the district management is unwilling to negotiate with us around this class size. just something that our membership will be willing to ratify, we have to go to a strike. >> reporter: a spokesperson for the district said san ramon valley is the fourth lowest funded unified school district in the state of california. both sides have expressed a lot of hope that they would reach a tentative agreement yesterday. that did not happen. teachers here could go on strike as early as the end of april if a deal isn't reached.
