what john kelly is now saying about his time working with the president. kelly's advice to his successor. look out above. the worker in this bucket struck hit on the highway. from the moose on this roof to the hundreds and hundreds of crows converging in this parking lot, the wild sights caught on camera this thursday morning. good morning, everyone. we begin with singer r. kelly facing a new allegation of abusing a minor. >> the new acquisiticusation cot hours after facing charges of not paying child support. >> he is maintaining his innocence as his girlfriends come to his defense. he is back behind bars for the second time in nearly two weeks. he left a chicago courtroom in handcuffs after failing to meet the deadline to pay $161,000 in

child support. kelly is also facing ten counts of criminal sexual abuse. three of the alleged victims minors. and overnight a new allegation against the 52-year-old. a detroit woman now claims kelly had sex with her in 2001 when she was 13 years old. kelly and his lawyers have not commented on that woman's claims. >> i didn't do this stuff. this is not me. >> reporter: his arrest comes just hours after an emotional and fiery interview with cbs. kelly denying allegations depicted in lifetime's docu-series "surviving r. kelly" which painted the picture of an abusive man who holds women capti captive. >> with all i've been through in my way, way past to hold somebody, let alone four or five, six, 50 you said, how stupid would i be to do that? i didn't do this stuff. this is not me. i'm fighting for my [ bleep ]

happy. >> the judge says he will stay in jail until the child support is paid. his next court appearance for the abuse charges is later this month. we turn now to new die tails about a powerful moment on capitol hill. senator martha mcsally revealing to the world her personal story of sexual assault in the military. the arizona republican who was the first female fighter pilot in combat says she was raped by a superior officer and suffered in silence for years. a abc's serena marshall more on why mcsally is coming forward now. serena, good morning. very powerful testimony. >> reporter: yes, janai, kenneth, good morning. that powerful deeply personal moment on capitol hill by the retired air force couple as sexual assaults in the military continued to rise. an emotional testimony a moment of truth. >> i am also a military sexual assault survivor. but unlike so many brave survivors, i didn't report being sexually assaulted. in one case i was preyed upon and then raped by a superior

officer. >> reporter: martha mcsally, the freshman senator from arizona, 26-year military veteran, the first female fighter pilot to fly in combat testifying before a senate committee explaining why she stayed silent for so long and that she was horrified at how her attempts to report the assault were handled. >> i almost separated from the air force at 18 years over my despair. like many victims, i felt the system was raping me all over again. >> reporter: in an interview with cbs, explaining the system must be changed saying if you have a rapist who is serving in uniform, you don't deal with it by keeping a woman out of their unit because that predator is going to go assault someone else. in a statement the air force says they are appalled and deeply sorry for what senator mcsally experienced and that they are steadfast in their commitment to eliminating this reprehensible

behavior and breach of trust in their ranks but sexual assault in the military is on the rise. 2017 seeing a record high with nearly 7,000 reported sexual assaults. a 10% increase over the previous year. mcsally's bold revelation not long after iowa senator joni ernst detailed her own rape while in college. when asked what action he plans to take, senator mitch mcconnell said he's open to any policy prescriptions they put forward. >> so courageous and powerful hearing senator mcsally felt like the system was raping her all over again. serena marshall, thank you so much. president trump is threatening the democratic national committee for refusing to let fox news host any of its 2020 debates. the dnc is suggesting fox is aligned with trump. the president does not have the authority to intervene because debates are traditionally set up by the debates commission and air live on all the major networks but the president tweeted, quote, democrats just blocked fox news from holding a debate. good. then i think i'll do the same thing with the fake news networks and the radical left democrats in the general election debates.

gathered there. a police officer in boulder, colorado, is on paid leave after pulling his gun out and confronting a black man picking up trash in his own yard. at least six other officers and a supervisor joined him at the scene. police say the officer saw a private property sign and asked the man if he was allowed to be there. but even when he showed his i.d., police did not back away. >> you have weapons, you have protection. i'm over here picking up trash on property. i don't have a weapon. this is a bucket. >> of course, the officers left without charging the man. an internal investigation is now under way. facebook's mark zuckerberg is promising to improve privacy with encryption that even facebook won't be able to read. in a blog post zuckerberg acknowledged past controversy saying, quote, we don't currently have a frank reputation for building privacy protective services. about 15 million users have left facebook in the last two years. tesla is responding to this video that appears to show a

driver asleep at the wheel while his car speeds down a california highway. another driver shot this video at about 75 miles per hour. in a statement tesla said its driver assistance mode is supposed to be used by someone who is fully attentive. if you're awake and still have a need for speed, check out this car that can hit 300 miles per hour. it's believed to be the fastest street legal production car in the world. it's called the jesko, and it's made by a swedish company. the price tag, $3 million. here's a car that's more expensive. bugatti has unveiled a coupe based on a 1935 model. it costs a whopping $19 million and was reportedly sold to the former head of volkswagen. >> do you think cars like that you don't take out in the snow? >> you don't take them out at all. keep them right there in the garage shiny and new. coming up, a major milestone involving lebron james and michael jordan. but first the race car driver who survived this terrifying crash speaks publicly for the first time about what he

uncertainty. a stage four pancreatic cancer diagnosis. >> now, normally the prognosis for this is not very encouraging but i'm going to fight this. >> reporter: the 78-year-old posted this video in the straightforward tone with the touch of humor that fans have grown to adore. >> i plan to beat the low survival rate statistics for this disease. truth told, i have to because under the terms of my contract, i have to host "jeopardy" for three more years. >> reporter: doctors say there's no screening test for pancreatic cancer because it's so rare and it's one of the most difficult cancers to diagnose because it progresses so quickly. >> this is a rare but aggressive type of cancer. it's one of the leading causes of cancer deaths and often it's not caught until it's at a late stage. the majority of cases are diagnosed when it's already spread. >> reporter: this morning, friends and fans are offering their support. "wheel of fortune's" pat sajak says he's saddened to hear the news but, quote, there is no one i know who is stronger and more determined and i would never bet against him. and "jeopardy" star contestant ken jennings writing, alex trebek is in a way the last cronkite, authoritative, reassuring tv voice you hear every night almost to the point

of ritual. >> so help me keep the faith and we'll win. we'll get it done. thank you. >> doctors say there is hope when it comes to pancreatic cancer. more than 1,000 clinical trials are under way to fight the disease, and they say many are showing progress. investigators need help identifying the body of a young girl found inside a duffel bag along a horse trail in los angeles. they've released a sketch of the victim, and they describe her as black between 8 and 13 years old weighing about 55 pounds and wearing a future princess hero sweatshirt. so far they say they have no leads. a driver in texas caught this incredible video on his dash cam showing a truck smashed into a worker fixing a traffic signal. the impact left the worker dangling from his safety harness until his co-workers could lower him to the ground. the truck driver did stop. the worker is okay except for a few bumps and bruises. >> incredible. for the fit time we're hearing from an indy car driver

negotiating session without an agreement. they do not have plans to meet today. the teachers have voted to authorize a strike. they have reached a tentative agreement on a pay raise. the sticking point right now is class size and ratios for nurses, librarians and counselors. >> the district management is unwilling to negotiate with us around this class size. just something that our membership will be willing to ratify, we have to go to a strike. >> reporter: a spokesperson for the district said san ramon valley is the fourth lowest funded unified school district in the state of california. both sides have expressed a lot of hope that they would reach a tentative agreement yesterday. that did not happen. teachers here could go on strike as early as the end of april if a deal isn't reached.
