16-year-old koben hoffmyer taking the first steps he has in ten months. now, when he was 15 last year he was playing a game of rugby, went in for a tackle, the opponent's hip hit him on the neck. as he did, he fell and heard a cracking sound and realized he couldn't get up. he was paralyzed from the waist down. he had dreams of playing pro rugby, in this case he had to go through rehab, two surgeries and physio that got him to this stage here. he's standing. he's standing again and he's walking. that's incredible considering the severity of the injury. >> this video is getting out there. the video has been shared by the players fund, which offers physical, psychological and emotional assistance to south african rugby players who sustain serious, life altering head, neck and spine injuries.5 plus players, they're currently
