in the cash lanes on the left-hand side of the toll plaza. no issue on the right and no issues for fastrak issues. we're hoping for an easier bay bridge commute. i feel we've had tough drives earlier in the week. hopefully today stays friday light. the traffic maps, take you into the east bay. roadwork on northbound 880 between 238 and 66th avenue in oakland. reporting from cal trans, they should have it down to one lane until 5:00 a.m. no backup now. they could have more lanes picked up. i'll check in with them in a few minutes. the next update at 4:40. thanks, alexis. b.a.r.t. service is expected to be back to normal after east bay passengers face major delays during the evening commute. >> a locked axle on a b.a.r.t. car caused an entire train to stop between south hayward and fremont stations. this is the photo tweeted by a viewer. you can see sparks and smoke underneath the train as crews trying to move the train. as a result of all this, trains

were forced to single track causing the major delays. also in the east bay, a go fund me page has been set up by -- killed by a hit and run driver. this happened last friday. the dublin pleasanton b.a.r.t. station. lisa amin gulezian has the story. >> that's how he's felt every day since the hit and run on friday. he's in the hospital where he's having complications. >> day by day things change as far as his medical status. he keeps having problem after problem. it's been really tough. >> he was walking along this sidewalk and had taken three steps into the street when he was hit. >> flew off his windshield. i flew like seven feet in the air and hit the ground. >> how do you hit somebody that seriously and just drive away. >> he has a shattered left pelvis and internal injuries.

i know the calendar says spring. but we're still tracking snow in the higher elevations on either side of the south bay. you head towards big sur and that's the way it is everywhere. temperatures in the 50s in the valleys and lower elevations of 60 in san diego. the winter weather advisory extended until 10:00 for another 6 inches of snow. if you're thinking about traveling today, not so good. saturday better. sunday not good. monday will be the best day. we finally have a day without snow. come tuesday, there's more moderate snow on the way. >> mike, thank you. cal train passengers could soon board a train named after google or facebook. the examiner reports companies and other entities can be naming rights to cal train stations and

starting today, boilyft is offering free rides. it will provide rides up to $10 to places connected to women's rights, struggles and achievements. that includes monuments, museums, women owned businesses and more. you have to use a special code which you can find on the lyft app. it runs through the end of the month. a world famous pianist had a mishap with a piano while trying to tackle san francisco's steep terrain. >> ♪ >> david is originally from germany. he's been towing a piano with a bicycle for performances. the brakes on his tiny bike gave way and he lost control. his bike, piano and bench got damaged. he was determined to play at san francisco's pier 35 last night. david turned to a piano store in berkeley to get help.
