garbage. these volunteers go digging around in the trash looking to make sure all the bats are out. >> okay. just so i'm clear, somebody gathered up bats, put them in a bag and tossed them in the trash? >> yes, they did. >> according to a woman who is just taking them in to help them out of the goodness of her own heart, she says it appears they were awakened before their hibernation was over. that's bad for them. so they had to be fed for a few days, fatten them up, they were gi en given crickets and food. does that mean they can go back into hibernation? >> yes. she said after feeding them forever a few dayfor a few days, she put them in the refrigerator. >> you can put bats in a refrigerator? >> if you get the temperature perfect. >> i wonder how bats survive. >> are you ready to give them water so they can sip out of a

bottle cap? >> it's sad people have such a misunderstanding about bats. they play a vital part. >> this is an insect-rich area, you want bats around to eat those mosquitos. small brown bats can eat thousands of mosquitos in an area. you get rid of them, you'll be sorry. unfortunately these days there's some parts of the world where you can't sit on the sidewalk with your baby, relax, enjoy the afternoon, because at least in this case in brazil, this person rode up on a motorcycle, notified that woman sitting there with the baby that this is a robbery. hand over your phone. >> good grief. it was instant. yep, here you go. >> the person then attempts to get away, but at that point stalled the motorcycle. >> please, somebody come out and thump this guy. >> see that man? that's her husband. >> oh. >> he's in trouble. >> he grabs a handgun, runs back

out on to the street and he starts shooting at the suspect. according to reports, the suspect ended up getting away. >> all of it is just so sad, that somebody is willing to rob a woman with a baby, she's willing to give it up and this guy is willing to shoot a man over a cellphone? all of it is crazy. what have we come to? >> it's pretty twisted considering where those stray bullets could have ended up. in mexico, this woman walking on the sidewalk at one moment is assaulted by this man attempting to take her bag. she manages to scare him off. you can see him taking off without actually taking any of her belongings. authorities were notified. at this point the man has not be hopely thisncreases patrol the area. to my est. i pulled the trigger. >> oh.

matter, you'll soon understand why all the yelling. that glow there is not from any kind of electric light. that glow is from a fire started on the second floor of this apartment building in china. what you hear are the children behind this camera doing their best to yell and scream fire. hoping that the people in that building will hear their young scream screams. >> i hope they do. the fire appears to be spreading quickly. >> that is an understatement. watch how quickly this small fire turns into a rocket that just shoots right up between these two buildings. it's speculated that might have been a stairwell. >> if that is a stairwell how are they supposed to get out? >> that's the fear. now, as the fire reaches the very top of the building, their screams start to turn to sobs.

if you look closely, you can see people in those apartments. >> we're watching something get exponentially worse, this is not just one house. there could be hundreds of people living in there. >> early speculation of the cause of the fire is the charging of an electric scooter. i can tell you maybe it was the screams of the kids, maybe it was the smoke alarms that wen off, but everyone got out safely. there were no injuries. when firefighters arrived, reports say they were able to put out this blaze in about 15 minutes. >> that's impressive. . i stopped going to spin class because those pedals hit the back of my foot. i got in a fight once, i never went back. >> fight with the bike or somebody else? >> with the bike. >> then there are people who can do this. this is alana.
