san francisco public defend irjeff adachi died. >> dan noise has obtained the toxicology reports. >> jeff's death caused by a toxic mix of cocaine and alcohol with his undiagnosed heart disease playing a role. exactly one month ago on a friday night, paramedics found him dead on the floor of this apartment. adache was transferred to the hospital where a doctor pronounced him dead. a woman listed as catalina said she spent the day with him. at some point they had some cannabis edibles and he ate well before complaining of severe stomach pain. they went back to the apartment, catalina called 911, and suzie kurtz. i said, what's wrong with said

pains and heartburn and he -- she said, but he's not doing well now, can you please hurry and come here. >> the autopsy concluded the cause of death is acute mixed drug toxicity with cocaine and ethanol. at some point most likely during the dinner, his already compromised heart could no longer sustain the amount of cardiac stress caused by the stimulant substances and became ischemic with death resulting a few hours later. >> his death has been ruled an accident. he leaves behind a wife and daughter. >> thank you very much. new at 6:00, san francisco police say the man who swiped a gun from the baggage claim carousel at sfo in february is under arrest. >> 48-year-old determirmott

o'sullivan. >> the bag contained 20 rounds of ammunitions as well as two firearms. remember these mannequins we first showed you the yard earlier this week. he installed the mannequins after the city hit him with a zoning violation because the fence was too high. this is what the yard looked like before the theft. the mannequins were able to be stolen because now his fence is too low. he's installed this guard in the yard but it doesn't seem to have helped. his fence was originally high to keep his dog safe. the city of santa rosa has not aithafternoon, it happened around 3:00 p.m. the station was closed for two hours a rider was stabbed on a

richmond bound train. the injuries are nonlife threatening, the victim was taken to the hospital, so far no one has been arrested. another bay area tech company filed to go public. abc 7 news reporter joins us live from outside the company headquarters in san francisco. >> it's raining money here. many workers came to work today doing their regular job and they're leaving as millionaires. let's take it back to how everything started. pinnerest started in december 2009, the ceo ran the company out of a tiny house along with a group of co founders. fast f almost 10 years later, pinterest posted a revenue of $700 million at the end of 2018. let's keep in mind this is not

the only company that's going public. just hours before pinterest ipo paperwork emerged, zoom filed as well. we spoke to a business professor about why these companies are deciding to go public now. >> the market and the u.s. economy for the first semester is on safe ground. what's going to happen in the second semester, we don't know. they rush to capture the market while the market is high. there is a company trying to get ipo's during the first month of the year. they impact because most of them cannot sell during the so-called period, which is typically six months. >> reporter: pinterest has

doubled its monthly active users since 2016, hitting 265 million users last year. they summarize the company as a cadillac of ideas that inspires users to go out and do things. other start-ups that are expected to ipo in the upcoming months are obviously, air bnb, uber, lyft. what a friday here in san francisco. >> especially if they had some shares. >> the economy has been humming along for years. a kind of big deal red flag that has the money people on wall street talking and worried a little bit. it's called the yield curve. what is that? it's a way to measure risk. usually you pay more to borrow money for 10 years than you do to borrow money for two years. today the yield curve inverted. it's cheaper to borrow money for a shorter period of time. investors are worried about the long term bigger picture.

a bay area woman is inspiring thousands of other women. getting hired for a new job while six and a half months pregnant. >> when jen watts welsh began looking for a new job in advertising. it was pretty obvious she was expecting. >> i was very much showing, and i was not trying to hide it. >> she didn't think it was possible to make a move until after her baby girl was born. >> i had that voice in my head saying it wasn't the right time, wasn't going to be possible. >> the more she thought about it, the more determined she became. >> yeah, i'm carrying this child, but my husband and i are both having this baby, and he would never have to think twice about this. >> after a promising networking meeting at heat, a san francisco based ad agency, she decided to really test the waters. >> i felt like this could be a really great fit, and if he felt similarly, i was ready to move

to inspire daughters everywhere, including her own. new details about one of the bay area family's indicted in the massive college emissions cheating scandal. bruce and davina isaacsohn are charged in the scheme. they paid the consultant the more than $600,000 to get their daughters into college as recruited athletes. the older daughter entered ucla as a soccer recruit using fake credentials. the younger daughter named in the indictment is 19-year-old audrey isaacsohn. the indictment says audrey gained admission to usc as a purported rowing recruit. even though she was not competitive in rowing, but was an avid equestrian. audrey does not appear on this year's rowing roster. she is a member of the equestrian club.

audrey's own posts and various websites show she's an accomplished rider whose competed in events such as the menlo charity horse show. they've both made the honor role at their universities. we're on storm watch tonight because of a level one storm over the bay area, spring started officially on wednesday. >> wet winter has contributed to some major erosion along our coasts. one particular area popular breach in half moon bay has seen two times the normal rate of erosion. >> lyanne melendez went there to find out why. >> people in half moon bay have long made the coastline a favorite place to unwind. this slice of heaven is in jeopardy as the erosion threatens the local coastline. >> there's been times we couldn't get down this way because it's eroded. i'm worried it will be gone completely before we know it. >> the erosion is happening at a much faster rate than anticipated. >> there's the impact from the

ocean behind us. there's storm water runoff from the surface. >> the winds this year and the previous two years have accelerated the erosion. the city is now installing safety fencing along the bluff at five locations. >> the city is concerned with the safety of the general public. >> another reason for putting up the fencing is to slow down any further erosion. >> you know, some warning signs could be helpful if it's affordable to say, please avoid contact with the cliffs. it is really your own risk if you go out there. >> the city has some signs up and will soon add more. kaylia griffin lives on the opposite coast of the country. >> i'm living in cape cod right now. it's something the cities are trying to develop a permanent fix. >> boulders are not economically

tank. some wet roadways, live doppler seven getting you down to street level. santa rosa west third street. you will notice some light rain across highway 101 into petaluma. starting to pick up a bit. right around redwood boulevard. we're going to pan around to other parts of the bay area. antioch, oakley, clubhouse drive, some slippery roads, and heading into the south bay from willow glenn. into gilroy, yes, it is slippery, now, this is just the light stuff to moderate rain. there is heavier rain off the coastline, that will come in later tonight in san jose by 8:12 p.m. sfo, if you're expecting someone, arrival delays of almost three hours due to the weather. so just be prepared to wait. 40s, 50s on the temperatures right now.

today's special counsel robert mueller submitted his report to the attorney general. >> now that special counsel mueller has submitted his report to the attorney general it's imperative to make the full report public and provide its underlying documentation and findings to congress. show us the report. >> california senator and presidential hopeful kamala harris tweeted, americans need to know the truth. how we got here, and what's next? >> after 22 months and. indictments, robert mueller's highly anticipated report is complete. in a letter sent this evening, william barr alerted congress that the report was sent to his

live look at san francisco international airport right now. because of today's light storms, flights have been delayed. some inbound flights are three hours late. a look at drivers along the golden gate bridge who will have to pay more to cross the bridge. some drivers will be paying nearly $10. bridge district directors voted today to improve a plan to increase the toll every year for five years. it's expected to raise about $100 million. that will go toward bus maintenance as well as improving bus and ferry service. drivers with fast track pay $7 and other drivers pay 8 to cros. abc 7 news is focused on building a better bay area which you know. we look for solutions to some of the big issues that we face here one mountain view school district could help approve a

the special counsel's investigation into the russian interference is now in the hands of the u.s. attorney general. william barr may release a review to congress as soon as this weekend. how much of this report will be made public. what will all of us get to see. i'm a reporter, unless some aspect of mueller's report truly risks lives or national security, i want to see it all, i suspect you do too. who did what, when. and just as importantly, who didn't do anything wrong? after all of the controversy, the posturing and denials, we have a right to know what really happened, who was responsible for it, and who wasn't. if president trump was not involved, people have a ro know before they vote in the next election. if he was, they must know that too. the truth is what really matters, one way or the other, and we the people deserve it, all of it. i always love to hear from you, let me know what you think, follow me on twitter and
