like you mentioned. there's a lot of secrecy surrounding how apple will work. in addition to original content, users can subscribe to hbo, show time and starz for a monthly fee. they're going to discuss apple news today. it's a part of 200 magazines and newspapers available for $9.99 a month. apple is said to be working on a gaming service focused on paid games from third party developers like nba 2k and mine craft. that's according to bloomberg. if possible, apple will discuss that today with mysterious credit cards. but there are few details about that one too. you will see that will go down today at 10:00 a.m. at the steve jobs theater in >> we'll be watching, jobina.

we'll be following apple's announcement today. if you're on the go, you can get announcement on our app. enable push alerts to get the latest information as it happens. a woman charged with attempted murder for allegedly shooting her husband could be facing a murder charge. it comes after 45-year-old paul schatzwell died from his injuries yesterday. the pittsburg adult educational center principal and father of eight had been in critical condition since the shooting last week. police say his wife, 39-year-old maria individual as shot him during an altercation. she remains in jail. this is pittsburg's first homicide of the year. tragedy for the stanford community. a student studying abroad in europe died hike not guilty spain. mic micha nee. he fell in difficult rocky terrain. and crews found him saturday. he was a junior majoring in computer science. the school issued a statement about the death saying he will

be deeply missed. democrats on capitol hill say they are determined to bring attorney general william barr in front of congress to push for the full release of special counsel robert mueller's report. barr released a summary of the findings yesterday saying the trump campaign did not conspire with russia during the 2016 presidential election. he also said mueller did not make a conclusion on whether the president obstructed justice. the president's lawyer is on gma today saying it's time to move on. >> i think the reality is that congress is wasting the taxpayers money, frankly. they should be going about legislating and governing rather than continuing this. that's a prerogative they'll have. >> on sunday, president trump called the news a, quote, complete and total exoneration stressing again that there was no obstruction. bay area lawmakers and political leaders are also responding to the report. >> the part of the report that

states while this does not conclude that the president did not commit a crime, it does not exonerate him. >> obstruction of justice and the president not being exonerated from that really belongs in the congress. the congress is the body that needs to take that up. >> republicans are demanding that it's time to move on. >> i'm angry as an american citizen that our democracy was hijacked for the last two years by these totally false allegations. >> former fbi director james comey who headed the russia investigation before being fired by president trump tweeted this. it's a photo of him gazing up at what appears to be redwood trees. he wrote only, so many questions. comey spoke at two events in the bay area last week. it's unclear whereno a couple from novato were among the hundreds of passengers that had to be rescued b norway. you may have seen the video.

it's on social media. susan dahlberg says the ordeal was stressful. she and her husband were not scared. look at this video. engine trouble combined with wild weather had the crew of the viking sky sending out a mayday call. the journey ended saturday afternoon and 20 people were hurt. >> we were in straps, we were lifted together off the ship in 60 mile an hour winds with the helicopter hovering above the ship. >> viking ocean cruises says the next scheduled trip to scandinavia has been canceled and coming up on gma, hear from a los angeles man who was on the ship as well and nearly died. that's at 7:00 followed by abc 7 mornings. parts of that ship start falling off of the ceiling and on to the passengers, it's crazy. >> the waves were huge. what a terrifying ordeal. then as you said, having to

new this morning, boeing will hold an informational session this wednesday to share its plan on how to safely bring its 737 max jets back into service. the company says it's been working on new software to address an automatic safety feature. it's blamed for the lion air crash in october and suspected in this month's ethiopian airlines crash. the grounding of the 737 max jet have led to the cancellation of 90 flights a day through next month. happening today, the fda begins two days of meetings to discuss breast implant safety. rare for of cancer and during the meeting, the fda will hear from researchers, plastic

surgeons, patients and manufacturers. for now shall the fda isn't proposing any new restrictions or warnings. but many women are pushing for new regulations to address unconfirmed claims implants with contribute to other chronic health conditions. dr. dre is throwing shade at families involved in the college admissions scandal. in a post that has now been deleted, the rapper posted this photo with his daughter and an acceptance letter. he writes, my daughter got accepted to usc on his own, no jail time. that's when it was pointed out he donated $70 million to usc in 2013 helped to create an academy for the duo focusing on business and entertainment-related fields. santa cruz beach boardwalk is usually a happy face. many plan to stay a bay from the popular spot after watching "us." they're scared to go to the

northbound direction. problems westbound at grant line with a vehicle that's off the road. you can see slow traffic west on 580 there. fairly typical for this time of the day. chp is reporting an accident west 80 near pinole valley road. no details and not much slowing in the area. we'll check back in a few. thank you, sue. we continue tracking breaking news in walnut creek where police are investigating a robbery and shooting in the city of downtown area. a a man was robbed of his watch and shot at at a union bank branch at mt. diablo boulevard and south main street. the robber also shot the victim. the victim was taken to a nearby hospital. so far, no arrests have been made. president trump declaring a political victory this morning after a nearly two-year-long investigation. robert mueller concluded that there was no collusion between the president and his campaign with russia. >> now they're demanding to see

the full report. mona kosar abdi is live with more. >> good morning reggie and jessica. >> the conclusions of the mueller report are as divisive as the investigation itself. it's the basis of a new political battle brewing here in washington. a vindicated president trump made his way back to washington to a changed political landscape. moments before trump departed florida sunday, attorney william barr sent a four-page letter to congress outlining the conclusions of robert mueller's investigation. barr writes the special counsel's investigation did not find that the trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 u.s. presidential election. >> it's a shame that our country had to go through this. >> barr also notes that mueller's report falls short of ab some offing the president going on to say that while this

report does not conclude that the president committed a crime, it does not exonerate him. democrats are demanding barr release the full report. >> i intend to fight for that transparency. >> nancy pelosi and chuck schumer will calling into question barr's impartiality. saying in part, quote, given mr. barr's public record of bias, he's not a neutral observer and not in a position to make objective determinations about the report. >> barr will be sitting down with deputy attorney general rod rosenstein and mueller himself to see how much of this report he can make public. sources also tell abc news that that process can take days, if not weeks. as you can imagine, reggie and jessica, because of that confidential and classified information that's throughout the report. for now, live in washington, mona kosar abdi, abc 7 news. >> mona, thank you. happening today, lyft drivers protesting in san francisco. they'll be picketing downtown. >> this is ahead of the lyft

ipo. amy hollyfield is live where the protest will happen later today in front of the omni hotel. amy? >> reporter: hi, jessica. yes, they plan to protest here in front of the hotel. because this is where lyft will be meeting with potential investors. they want to put a stop to that. the drivers say they would like to be treated better. they would like higher wages and they are asking for more benefits. they also want a voice at work. they will protest to try and convince investors not to do business with lyft until they treat their drivers fairly. lyft is planning to go public. it's spending the next ten days pitching the plan to investors. the company says it does plan to give some long-term drivers money to buy stock, but the drivers say they want more. they still plan to protest. they'll be fighting for wages and benefits. so they will be out here at 11:00 this morning in front of the omni. reporting live in san francisco,

amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. >> thank you, amy. uber drivers in los angeles plan to strike today. the l.a. times says they're angry with the company's move to slash per-mile pay in l.a. county and parts of orange county. the striking workers want higher wages across the board. uber says the old pay scale wasn't working and other changes will improve take-home pay. bernie sanders was in san francisco yesterday. he criticized the mueller summary. >> well, i don't want a summary of the report. i want the whole damn report because nobody, especially this sanders called president w. trump the most dangerous president in u.s. history. the vermont senator blamed the president for dividing the nation and sanders told the crowd that he can bring country together. >> we're ready for a political revolution. we need that. need big change in the country. somebody to bring us together. >> bernie sanders has the best

chance of beating trump. he has the issues that the people care about. >> everything from the economy to social policies to climate issues. >> there was a large rally. it drew in an estimated 16,000 people to ft. mason. all right. let take a look at what's going on. you can see, there's still showers trying to make their way closer to peninsula. they seem to be falling apart. again, it's the north bay where temperatures are mainly in the upper 40s to mid-50s. it's going to be wet during the morning commute. we've got 42 in redwood city and san ramon at 43. fairfield, some of the cooler spots. overall, temperatures anywhere from 2 to 11 degrees warmer than yesterday morning. bay bridge toll plaza, use that as a backdrop to talk about how it's going to get wetter ng wl tougher than morning commute. peninsula, dry conditions through 9:00, 10:00. a scattered shower at 11:00.

boston courtroom. they are among the 50 people indicted so far. 33 of them are parents, including several from the bay area. they're accused of paying bribes to get their kids into top universities. other defendants include college coaches and actresses, lori loughlin and felicity huffman. loughlin and huffman are not expected in court until next week. southern california police are investigating a fire at a mosque as a possible hate crime after investigators found a note referencing the terrorist attacks in new zealand. flames scorched a wall outside the islamic center early yesterday morning in escondido. search people were inside at the time. they put out the fire before firefighters arrived. police discovered the note in the mosque parking lot. they have not revealed the contents yet. building a better bay area, education, homelessness and housing are major challenges affecting the quality of life here. those same issues are why more people are considering leaving.

better bay area facebook group. apple is about to take on netflix, hulu and amazon. it is set to unveil a new streaming service this morning and maybe even more. abc 7 news reporter, jobina fortson is live in cupertino for us. jobin jobina? >> reporter: apple is slated to discuss a number of things today. but people seem to be most excited about that video streaming service. it will go down right down this street behind me on their main campus here. the streaming service will compete with other services like netflix and amazon prime video just to name a few. many wondering how apple plans to navigate this already crowded arena. in addition to original content, users can subscribe to networks like hbo, show time and starz for a monthly fee. it's said to cost around $9.99 a month and also the same price, an apple news subscription of 200 magazines and newspapers. a "wall street journal"

this week. the deal would see uber buying dubai-based company. it would give them a ride hailing monopoly in markets around the world. the new york stock exchange. we're starting the week off down k asian markets were down overnight for fears of a recession. from 7 on your side, a major avocado producer voluntarily issuing a recall because of listeria contamination. they're sold by henry avocado. including avocados packed in california and distributed to six states. there's no reports of people getting sick. avocados from mexico are not subject to the recall. a sticker will tell if it's imported. it is a good idea to thoroughly wash avocados before eating them. a warning system that could give people a life-saving alert before an earthquake hits will be tested in oakland this week.

today as a cold front draws through. lingering scattered showers tonight and another chance of rain tomorrow, wednesday and thursday. here's a look at our afternoon temperatures from the mid and upper 50s in the north bay to the low and mid-60s in the south bay and our inland east bay neighborhoods. the same areas will be in the upper 40s to low 50s. the north bay in the upper 30s to mid-40s with a little more clearing there. potential for some fog to form. let's jump into future radar. here we are. about 9:00 away. light to moderate rain in the north bay. it remains steady through noon. there could be scattered showers ahead of it. pockets of light rain, no doubt. that's where the steady rain is. after noon, it moves into the rest of the neighborhoods and notice how it shrinks in coverage and not as much yellow, moderate as we head through the evening commute. as the front stalls to the south overnight, we have a chance in the east bay and south bay of showers there. that's pretty much our best chance tomorrow. also, you can see most of us will be dry for the better part of tomorrow. so for this storm, let's see
