the person injured is expected to be okay. police are investigating the cause of the accident. mpb a father of four is in a coma this morning after a fight outside of dodger stadium. his wife is asking for help to find the attacker. m m marcy gonzalez has more. >> it hurts my heart. this isn't supposed to happen. >> reporter: the father of four on life support after he attacked. 47-year-old rafael said she was on the phone with him and he left friday night's baseball game and heard a man and woman yelling at him. >> i was hearing arguing and i heard like a smack, a crack. it sounded like a baseball bat. then i heard him start moaning. >> reporter: he was punched once and fell. >> his head hit the ground and caused a skull fakturacture.

now his brain is swelling and he's bleeding on the brain. >> reporter: there's been other violent confrontations including the see vevere beating on 2011 leaving him with permanent brain damage. this morning as police and the dodgers investigate this latest incident, the family is left begging witnesses to help identify and find his attacker. >> someone needs to come forward. i know people saw it. i heard them. i know people saw it. >> reporter: investigators are hoping for more tips because right now they only have a vague dip description of an attacker. it's a man in his 20s who possibly left in a white suv. in san jose, 17 residents of the homeless camp have until this afternoon to find a new place to live. supporters say it was making a positive dent in a bigger issue, homelessness. it's one of the subjects we're tackling at abc 7 to build a better bay area.

neighbors think by joining our better bay area facebook group. police are searching for an attacker with a sword who slashed a victim outside a roller rink. he was wearing a red make america great again hat. this happened friday night outside of the skating rink. police tell abc 7 news the victim approached the suspect walking past him which is when the suspect's hat fell off. the suspec then took out the sword and attacked the victim. the attacker took off on foot. the victim's hand was cut but is expected to be okay. in oakland, the family of a 4-year-old boy who was shot in the head is asking for his father to be released from prison so he can see his injured son. the family says he has no brain activity and is on life support. they want the governor to grant release from the state prison. the family says the child found a gun under a bed at an east oakland home and accidentally shot himself. a man who police say the gun's

owner was arrested. a controversial film about abortion is causing a lot of conversation about this topic. the film is based on a former planned parenthood director who now opposes abortions. >> reporter: it's the story of the youngest planned parenthood director saw a video of an abortion resigned in 2009. >> that is when i really saw for the first time this living human being inside of the womb and seeing that baby fight and struggle for his life. >> reporter: johnson hopes her story in the movie unplanned helps other women. >> i just thought, i have another opportunity here to help facilitate healing for those who have been possibly hurt or touched by abortion in some way. >> reporter: movie goers said the movie was too graphic. >> there was no applause.

compassionate environment. t >> the post continued saying the film may create opportunities to highlight the prok clamation of the gospel of life as well as creating opportunities for dialogue and fruitful conversations. the debate over abortion is playing out in many state houses and courtrooms nation wide. a woman's right to an abortion in all 50 states was legalized with roi - - - - - - - - - on friday georgia lawmakers bans abortions after a fetal heart back is detected which can be as early as six weeks. the governor is expected to sign the bill. the governor of mississippi signed into law a similar bill this past week.

three other states have passed heartbeat bills in recent years. federal judges ruled them unconstitutional. after a month and a half of being closed because of a mudslide, a road is expected to open tomorrow. the slide destroyed two homes in february. engineers say the road is safe to re-open to traffic. barriers are scheduled to be removed by 5:00 tomorrow morning. last week the city council extended the emergency declaration for another 30 days. officials recommend it remain in effect until all necessary clanp up is complete. lisa, we're off too a beautiful start. >> sure are. numbers are warming properly due to the early sunshine. 54 degrees in san francisco. this is the way it looks with a little haze. how about 57 across the bay. san jose is at 53. most cities in the 70s. right at the coast, 60s.

he's accused of spending tens of thousands of dollars to get his daughter into the university of southern california. the 53-year-old was the he has passed responsibilities on the his daughter. this is a strategic move because a criminal conviction could jeopardize the wineries license. he passed away at his home on friday. the lifelong residents on the city is remembered for helping turn the community from a small town into a suburban business hub. he was 90 years old. with the lyft ipo on friday, more attention is bag bads eing

new this morning, meghan markle is ready to shake things up as she prepares to start her royal family starting with where she plans to give birth. >> reporter: tomorrow is the first of april which is officially royal baby month. these reports emerging to what he understand is her due date. meghan and marry are deciding not to have their baby at the lindo wing of st. mary's hospital in central london. that ward has become closely associated with royal births. the wing is where william and kate had all three of their young children. it's the ward where princess diana had william and harry themselves. if these reports are accurate, we won't be seeing harry and meghan making their mark on

the surge in migrants crossing the u.s. mexican border. >> mexico will have to do something. otherwise i'm closing the bor r border. >> reporter: the president announcing he is cutting off humanitarian aide. three country that is are the primary source for migrant caravans. >> we were giving them $500 million. we were paying them tremendous amounts of money and we're not paying them anymore because they haven't done a thing for us. >> reporter: the number of illegal crossings has risen. 76,000 migrants were stopped at the border in february. 40,000 of those were families. federal officials say march is on track to surpass those figures with an estimated 95,000 migrants. the cpb announcing that 40% of its guards have been diverted from the border to process some of those families. >> wooe'll keep it closed for a

a live look outside from our golden gate bridge camera. temperatures expected in the 60s for much of san francisco today. lisa rumpbs eturns in a few min. in sport, a busy day ahead in oakland. there's four more regular season games left. the warriors return home to face steph curry charlotte hornets. the a's close out their four game series. first pitch is at 1:07 p.m. the giant will try to gain a slit in san diego. that game starts at 1:10 this afternoon. the a's have a chance to get back to 500 with a win today. we have highlights in this morning's sports. >> good morning, every one. the a's have the defense. they have the offense. one question enter this season was the starting pitching. brett anderson is the third starter on this home stand to provide some answers.
