we hit the upper 60s at noon and then the wind starts coming off the ocean more. that's why we're in the mid-60s at 4:00 and mid to upper 50s by 7:00 with a better chance of rain. want to get sue in here to tell but the monday morning commute. pretty good so far. we do have you stepping on the brakes amid span up to the high rise, looking at a 20-minute drive from 880 to 101. metering lights on at 5:20 this morning, so you can see a bit of a backup for about a 12-minute delay behind the toll plaza getting into san francisco once you pass those tolls. 45 minutes to get over the altamont pass. slow and go there. we do have another ace train delay, fremont headed into fremont, train number 1 is rolling about seven minutes late. no problems with b.a.r.t. or muni this morning. sue, thank you, breaking

news. airlines dealing with massive system wide computer outages and subsequent delays. >> they include delta, southwest, united, jetblue and alaska. abc 7 news reporter jobina fortson is live for us at sfo with the situation there right now. jobina, how are things? >> reporter: good morning. so far at sfo things seem to be running smoothly. i want to point out something here on the arrivals board. you see there is a delay coming from atlanta and other delays coming in because there are airports affected by this. we do see there was a cancellation on the southwest board but so far so good. several airlines including southwest were dealing with computer issues. the faa recommended people contact their airline directly for updates. it's not clear what city they

were in but baltimore civil rights activist tweeted out, quote, i'm on the runway on a delta flight and the pilot said the system that gives them clearance paperwork is down, and that they'll hopefully get the system update in ten minutes. the spokesperson with southwest says there was an outage with a vendor that services multiple carriers with data used in flight planning. the airline says it lifted an internal ground stop at 7:05 eastern time and that it lasted for about ten minutes. i did talk with a gate agent and he told me things seem to be moving smoothly. reporting live from sfo, jobina fortson. just to be clear the faa did send out an update saying the issue has been resolved but there could be residual delays. fearly 3,000 pg&e customers are starting their morning in the dark. here is a live look in santa clara. one of the impacted areas this

morning. and here is new video from about 20 minutes ago showing santa clara police controlling traffic in the area because of the outage. no word yet on the cause or when the lights may go back on. new overnight, fire off highway 17 in los gatos. firefighters closed southbound lanes near main street while putting out the flames. no one was hurt investigators have not yet determined what started the fire. highway 17 has been reopened for your morning commute. fans and celebrity are mourning the death of rapper and entrepreneur nipsey hussle. >> he was shot in a burst of gunfire outside the clothing store he owns in l.a. yesterday afternoon. two other people were hurt. police say the suspect ran to a waiting getaway car. hussle may not have been a household name but to his legion of fans he was an inspiration. he used his fame to give back to the community. the 33-year-old invested in many

extort nike for $25 million. prosecutors say he threatened to release damaging information by nike if the company refused to make payments to him. an east bay priest facing dozens of counts of child sex abuse is expected to be in court today. father david mendoza-vela transferred to corpus christi church in fremont in 2016. alameda county sheriff's officials arrested him on abuse charges involving a child at st. john's. members of the group survivors network. >> we urge any kid or anybody who know as kid molested by this priest to come forward. >> pathetic. >> after mass, thank you for

difficult it is for drivers to just focus on the road. the film is called "3 seconds behind the wheel." they volunteer to be watched driving. drivers were still distracted, dancing, eating, and checking their phones behind the wheel. many drivers looked away for three seconds at a time. that is enough to drive the length of a football field, and this morning on "gma" abc news reporter talks about a popular iphone setting that cuts down on distractions. >> it's called do not disturb while driving. it responds to text messages for you and it says there's a text message, i'm driving with this feature turned on. i won't see your message until i get where i'm going. >> how to turn on the do not disturb function and other settings that can prevent distracted driving.

$100 million on repairs over the next three years. city council still needs to approve it. according to "the chronicle" people who live in oakland's wealthier neighborhoods are upset because the plan devotes more money to low-income neighborhoods including fruitvale and east oakland. people who live in montclair and rock ridge say their roads are just as bad. a singer from the bay area is now headed to the top 20 round on "american idol." >> ashley has. and her parents were there as she fought for her spot last night. take a look. ♪ you promised you wouldn't change ♪ ♪ you'd stay the same but it's different ♪ >> what a voice. the fremont native sang "gone away" for the top 40 round, and this was at disney in hawaii. after the perform and the judges told her she seems more comfortable playing the pian instead of with the full band

wish i still had it. it was fun. a storm impact scale light and it's 1 with light showers. thunderstorms are possible. most of us less than a tenth of an inch. the north bay you can see a few showers showing up, could get up to 0.2 of an inch. a lot of that is not reaching the ground. you can see the mid and high-level clouds from mt. tam. a lot of that rain is evaporating. slightly milder than yesterday but still a comfortable day. the coast will be around the upper 50s to 60. upper 60s at noon. mid to upper 50s at 7:00 when a better chance of rain begins. next here is sue. a couple problem spots at 6:32. we'll go to union city where southbound 880, a couple cars that got into it. the left lane is blocked there near alvarado niles. elsewhere, we're just getting reports of an accident possibly blocking westbound 80 near central. we're definitely seeing slow traffic along that corridor.

lucy flores says biden kissed the back of her head at a campaign rally in 2014 when she was running for lieutenant governor. she says the encounter was awkward and disturbing although she does not consider it a sexual assault. biden released a statement saying, quote, in my many years on the campaign trail and in public life, i have offered countless handshakes, hugs, expressions of affection and never once, not ever, did i believe i acted inappropriately. if it is suggested i did so, i will listen respectfully but it was never my intention. an outsupporting support for the family of a south carolina student murdered after getting into a car she thought was her uber. samantha josephson was a senior at the university of south carolina. hunters found her body in the woods 70 miles outside of columbia over the weekend. josephson was first reported missing friday. surveillance video shows her stepping into a chevy impala and police now believe that she thought it was a ride she

ordered. officers arrested the man driving that car, 24-year-old nathaniel rowland, charged with kidnapping and murder. they found blood and josephson's cell phone inside the car. >> the child safety locks were activated on the door that would not allow someone the means of escape. >> investigators have not released a possible motive. josephson would have graduated in may. in east bay fremont police looking for surveillance video that may have captured a beating that left a customer bloodied. >> i want to warn you some of these images are graphic. frederick is missing three teeth, has a fractured nose and palate, ten stitches in his lip. he was waiting for his food at this denny's. he says a doordash delivery employee berated denny's employees for not having a to go order ready. he told the man to calm down.

star gone too soon. this crowd has dwindled from hundreds down to a couple dozen this morning. the rap star incredibly popular with 3.6 million followers on instagram. the 33-year-old was nominated, as you mentioned, for a grammy award this year for his debut studio album entitled "victory lap." initially hundreds of fans came to the clothing store to mourn the rapper's death and have been sharing stories how he was giving back, helping this local community where he grew up. they say he inspired and empowered his fans. before his death he posted on twitter saying having strong enemies is a blessing. about 30 minutes later, he was shot. we should mention two others were wounded in yesterday's shooting, but survived. this morning the lapd still gathering information to locate the suspect. we should mention no details about that suspect have been released. reporting live in south l.a., abc 7 news. reggie, jessica, we'll send it back to you.

>> mark, thanks for the update. contamination cleanup near pier 39 has reportedly resumed. according to "the examiner" the contamination discovered in 2017 potentially impacted water quality and biological resources. officials ordered the utility to investigate after finding elevated levels of a carcinogen believed to have come from pg&e's gas plant on beach street. the cleanup was paused due to the company's bankruptcy filing. if you're thinking about selling your home you may want to put it on the market this week. >> that is the general advice from analysts at realtor.com. they found people who list their homes the first week of aim get more money and will sell in about six days. making it even better, reduced mortgage rates. a 30-year rate reached a 14-month low last week. a website used by parents to find babysitters and nannies has now removed nearly 47,000 listings.

major incidents happening. one, possibly two separate incidents in union city and you're stacked up to 238. in the santa cruz mountains, north 17 near bear creek we have several vehicles involved blocking two lanes of traffic there. so it's definitely stop and go. and this is a real major one with only one lane getting through, 80 westbound near central and richmond. a fire is on scene and is really slow and go as you can see in our zoomed in version backed up alost to highway four now for a solid, about a 45-minute drive time to pass the scene. once you're near golden gate fields it picks up and you should be into the mcarthur maze with no delays. >> thank you, sue. the warriors are saluting two championship winning high school basketball teams from oakland. >> abc 7 news was at oracle arena as the teams from oakland tech and oakland high watch pregame warm-ups. oakland high's wildcats won the
