5th. >> all eyes on the skies if you're going to oracle park late they are afternoon. let's check in with meteorologist lisa argen about the rain forecast. hey there, jessica, reggie. our cold front is still offshore. you can see we have more green from the north bay right along the coast. it's wet for you, highway 1, san rafael and mill valley. and also down into san francisco, this is where the front is going to push through and then it moves through the morning hours. we're looking at the showers to start out, rainy and breezy through noontime. an isolated shower throughout the afternoon. a 1 on our storm impact scale. sue? >> if you normally take the larkspur ferry to the games, that's not going to happen for today's home opener. they have canceled that spalding boat because one of the other boats is out of service. the lack of vessels for today.

no golden gate ferry direct to the park. however, you can take a normally scheduled boat and walk to oracle. we watched a driver who got blocked and almost got hit. that is not the way to come into san francisco. you have to wait it through unless you have other people in the car with you. that was a fortunate near miss. you can see the metering lights are on and you're backed up halfway to the mcarthur maze. green is good. that's a nice ride this morning. ace train is running on schedule. the giants home opener happening today. >> it could be a wet day. that will not stop the fans. over oracle park as crews put on the finishing touches. jobina fortson is live this morning and i can see that the

all the crimes happened at the store on 4th street. police say they took three lop tops and more than $20,000 worth of ndz. san francisco police want help tracking down a dangerous dog. >> it bit two middle schoolers at joe dimaggio playground during a school pe assign many. the children did not provoke the dog. it is described as a large dog, white with black and gray colored spots. its owner is a white woman in her 30s wearing a black shirt and purple vest. the two children are now recovering. the city of san jose is struggling to find moneys to keeps its parks in shape. playgrounds have about a 15-year life span.

along the peninsula. as we get in closer not raining quite yet in san francisco but it will be rushing into the coast here. up to the north, san rafael, a light area of drizzle. offshore is the cold front. it is weakening but the timing not ideal. rain, moderate at times when it pushes through but will be brief. plan on the wet weather increasing through the early afternoon. amounts from trace amounts, peninsula, less than a tenth of an inch to more than a half inch in the north bay. sue? >> green is good and that's what we see. it is friday light out there.

we had two separate accidents. i'm happy to tell you that sig alert has just now been cleared and green again is great. chp had police activity because the driver and passenger ran away. a nice friday light. the efforts to bring hover craft is facing a new setback because of a new lawsuit. >> a lawsuit against the bay area. they are putting the hover craft ferries at risk.

san jose. golden gate bridge doesn't look too bad now. that will get wetter throughout the morning. 56 in vacaville. looking at the winds gusting to 25 miles an hour from mt. diablo to mt. tam. here we are at 10:00. the peninsula, will push in by about lunch time through 1:30 and then it is out of here. we're not rain free but the possibility decreases through the 2:00 hour that we're going to see showers. the amounts are light with over a tenth of an inch in san francisco. we'll see a couple .01. most of the rain on the coast and in the north bay. and the mountains, sue, looking at the winter weather advisory. if you scoot up now, you're in good shape, or at least this morning.

rising. it the fire departments raced to the scene to battle the flames. cal fire crews battled flames at one of their own stations in calistoga. flames gut add building where cal fire does maintenance work. the fire broke out around 7:00 p.m. nobody was hurt. joe biden will make his first appearance since several women accused him of inappropriate behavior. >> it's unclear if he'll address the situation. >> he called his actions gestures of support and encouragement but says he does understand it made some people uncomfortable.

boeing's ceo apologized to the loved ones of those who died in a crash. people were killed when a 737 max crashed in indonesia and another in ethiopia. boeing is working on a software fix to prevent similar problems in the future. police are investigating a stabbing that left a man dead in san jose. officers say the man was taken to the hospital where he died. this is the city's 11th homicide of the year. a hearing will take place to see if a man is mentally competent enough to stand trial.

john cowell faces charges in the murder of nia wilson at b.a.r.t.'s mcarthur station last july. a judge ruled that cowell was not competition at the time. if the judge believes cowell can stand trial a date may be set. >> officials are trying to identify a body found in a fire and police are calling the death suspicious. a draw bridge operator around 2:00 yesterday. police then discovered the bodies. the crime surprised a lot of people including a man who fishes nearby. >> it's rare to see something like that happen around here. >> we thought possible transient, suicide, body dump.

it's about 30 feet tall with barbed wire. it was finished in october of last year. the question is, who was responsible for it? it was approved years ago but was funned and completed under the trump administration. it's not a new wall per se because it replaced an old one out here for decades, one made out of old vietnam war landing mats, but a lot of people out here in calexico aren't talking about this new barrier or replacement barrier. the big news is the fact yesterday president trump backed off his threat to shut down the town of calexico. they do rely on border traffic. we were toweled about 90% of the people do come from across the border and the city has about

money. that is, unless you play the game. i took a ride with a veteran ride share driver, jay cradeur, a self-proclaimed survivor who has mastered a winning strategy. he developed a side hustle with the website and his own blog named ride share dojo. he gives advice on how to make the most money possible. >> i made approximately $100,000 a year. after expenses it's about $80,000. >> $80,000 a year. cradeur told me he may work 50 hours a week but that allows him six weeks of vacation each year. his number one tip is drive smart, like on the busy streets of san francisco where he likes to focus his energy. it pays more to drive in san francisco. now cradeur says demand isn't high in places like oakland and san jose during the week. he likes to go there on weekends when it's easier to get there if
