5:48 am
and it's a different story. live doppler 7, a lot of cloud cover and in the pacific, it just keeps streaming in, right, from the southwest here, this moist plume. but we don't have enough lift to really wring out the showers everywhere. it's going to be confined to the north bay. 57 right now in hayward, good morning to you. 59 in oakland. certainly mild to muggy. upper 50s in the north bay with 55 on the coast. so as we go through the next few hours, here is what the plan is. you see the light showers there in the north and 10:00, still a lot of clouds. into the afternoon, it's sunny. in the east bay, even getting some sun in marin. the peninsula, nice afternoon. overnight, the clouds are with us again. early monday morning, we're dry, but we've got cloud cover increasing. here we are, 11:30. and there's a front moving into sonoma county, napa, and by the afternoon, a few sprinkles possible here in the north bay. so with that, we'll look for more sun today and more clouds for your monday. where do we stack up so far?

5:55 am
i'm hearing someone wants a ride over to oakland, but there's no traffic. we'll be there in like 15, 20 minutes. >> reporter: jay drove enough rides for lyft t qualify for worth of $1,000 worth of stock when the company went public. now he's driving more for uber, hoping to qualify for its stock. >> reporter: are you more satisfied being a driver for uber or a driver for lyft? >> probably the number one question my passengers ask. so purely as a driver, i prefer lyft. >> reporter: he says lyft pays a little more and the passengers seem friendlier. it's like cats and dogs. the uber passengers are like cats. they are just quieter, you know, not as responsive. whereas the lyft passengers are more like the dogs, you know, ha-ha, you know! >> i don't know what that says about me, because i only use lyft. >> that's good. they're friendlier. they're more open and like we're part of a club. >> reporter: jay says the best tips come from being a good listener, driving carefully, and after someone leaves something in your car, you return it.
