should be done by 5:00 but they're not causing any delays in either direction right now. southbound 680 in the green at six minutes. westbound 580 tracy to dublin in the green just about a half hour. in the east bay oakland police are investigating a shooting that wounded two people reported just before 9:00 last night on fifth street. a 19-year-old was shot in the leg. authorities say the 21-year-old victim is expected to survive and the 19-year-old has already been released from the hospital. no arrests have been made. a stunning admission from uber. the company says it is losing $1.8 billion a year and uber says it may not be profitable anytime soon. >> the financial revelation came in new ipo documents filed by the company as it gets ready to go public.

who could benefit from the ipo and who could lose out. >> reporter: to say uber drivers feel they're getting the short end of the ipo deal would be an understatement. >> they will go public and they depend on us as drivers. without us they're not going to make the money. >> reporter: yuber plans to pay bonuses, more than a million drivers who had a minimum of 1,000 trips or more will get from $100 to $1,000. >> they only offer me like $500 for the whole time. >> reporter: dissatisfaction doesn't stop there. drivers have long been asking to be employees instead of contractors. many have gone to arbitration because of it. in the s.e.c. report uber recalls a huge customer backlash in 2017. >> it mentions the delete uber movement where it lost hundreds of thousands of passengers.

the two sides reached the deal last night after negotiating for 13 hours yesterday. the agreement would help provide class size caps as well as better staffing ratios for counselors and all specialists. educators will receive a 4.5% raise if the contract is ratified. a vote is scheduled by the dublin teacher's union for monday afternoon. this morning the u.s. government is taking its first steps to extradite wikileaks co-founder julian assange. abc news has learned assange fears the prospect of violent attacks on him in an american prison if he were to be extradited. he was forcibly removed from the ecuadorian embassy. he's charged with conspiring to help former intelligence analyst chelsea manning break into u.s. defense department computers and leak secret documents in the year 2010. assange faces five years in prison if convicted. southwest airlines is taking new action against the boeing 737 max 8. all max 8 flights are now removed from the southwest schedule into early august.

remains in prison. the family, meanwhile, continuing to lobby governor gavin newsom's office to allow him to visit in person. building a better bay area doesn't come without growing pains. a decades old church in the downtown heart of san jose recently decided to sell to google fearing eminent domain. parishioners turned to city leaders finding a new home. >> pastor, would you ask your congregation to rise? >> reporter: members of templo la hermosa came out in the dozens at this week's city council meeting. they sit across the diridon station, eyed for the potential google mega campus. >> we sold our building because of the opportunity for the city to have a large employer with over 25,000 jobs coming to the city. >> reporter: pastor erasmo

zuniga said it was advised they sell the land saying the city would evoke eminent domain. we were told the city would never do so. councilmember pointed to possible poor advice from the church's legal expert. >> i don't doubt any of that was the case. >> reporter: as it stands the city hasn't approved anything beyond selling acres of its own land. still, some say this is an example of displacement caused by any potential development. >> we need to put community and community values and even spiritual values, talking about a church here, above the almighty dollar. >> reporter: the council voted for a compromise to allow templo la hermosa to move to trade zone boulevard. the pastor said he was advised by his lawyer not to comment on the matter. we've reached out to the attorney multiple times and have not heard back. in san jose, i'm amanda del castillo, abc 7 news. we want to hear your ideas about building a better bay

area. share them by joining our better bay area group on facebook. on the peninsula the owner of the famous flintstone home is answering a lawsuit by the town of hillsborough with a lawsuit of her own. the city says the home is a public nuisance. the unusual hillside home stands out to anyone who passes by on interstate 280. it was purchased in 2017 and adibi group of dinosaur sculptures and colorful landscaping. the lawsuit alleges the modifications violate several municipal codes. when it comes to being fans of the san jose sharks, it's hard to keep up with the joneses. with sharky in front of their san jose home, look at that. it's now painted a spectacular shade of sharks teal. the jones are the first of five bay area families selected to have their home painted as part of the sharks for life marketing campaign. >> i guess we're the lucky ones.
