for the oak land a's and a new ballpark. the maritime industry is pushing back on a plan launched by the team late last year. there's resistance now. abc 7 news reporter laura anthony is live at howard terminal with a look at their concerns and response from a's team president. >> reporter: that's right. it's been nearly five months since the a's officially announced they want this site at howard terminal for their new ballpark. suddenly, after months of negotiations, it appears that some in the maritime industry want the project stopped. >> it's insane. >> long shoreman aaron wright represents the coalition of unions. maritime businesses and others who oppose the oakland a's plan to build their new ballpark at howard terminal. >> going to impact labor and thousands of jobs in the port area. there's no infrastructure for transportation. it will impact a trucker getting
