i'm amanda del castillo. an investigation into the measles case at google's campus spans two counties. >> a community is fighting for the release of a father, detained by i.c.e. after losing his asylum case. i'm kate larson. after 45 years beach bab lon announced they are closing. live, where you live, this is "abc7 news." the nationwide measles outbreak is hitting home tonight, this time in silicon valley. >> public health officials confirmed a person with the disease visited google's campus. amanda del castillo has late details. amanda? >> reporter: health officials say they've had four confirmed cases of the measles so far this

year. all unrelated, all separate from this latest scare t google. the investigation into the meese lts exposure now scans two counties. >> it's not a case in santa clara county. i can confirm the case is an adult and they're a resident of the county. >> reporter: an email claimed a worker who had been to the company's 1295 charleston road building was diagnosed with measles. central location falls in santa clara county. health officials are conducting contact investigations. >> these contact investigations, we're trying to understand is there anybody who might have been exposed who is not protected? >> reporter: dr. cody say it's the county's responsibility to interview the person and question where they've traveled. health officials do not believe there is further risk to the public, but others say they're

taking the potential threat seriously. >> i think everybody should be worried if that's something that is happening around the area and to make sure that you're obviously being very safe and careful. >> reporter: health officials say the county's high vaccination rate of 96% means the vast majority of people are protected. >> so in a workplace, you would expect the vaccination rates to be high and not much spread. >> reporter: the san mateo county health department says they would not be commenting additionally or additional information i should say on the issue, including where this infectious person may have traveled. we've reached out to google for comment and not heard back. i'm amanda del castillo, "abc7 news." >> amanda, thank you. so far, at least four cases have been reported in santa clara county. in san mateo county, there has been one case. in california, there have been at least 21 cases reported this year.

review the report. when between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. the report will the delivered to congress. here is a look at the controversy. >> reporter: as washington awaits the release of the mueller report, attorney general william barr saying he will hold a press conference with rod rosenstein thursday morning. the chairman of the judiciary committee voicing concern over the handling of the report. >> the fact that the attorney general is not releasing even the redacted reports to congress until after his press conference will again result in the report being presented through his own words rather than through the words of special counsel mueller. >> reporter: the 400 page report, the result of a nearly two-year investigation by special counsel robert mueller. wednesday, president trump sounding unconcerned. >> you'll see a lot of very strong things come out tomorrow. >> reporter: in a four-page letter to congress last month, barr said mueller's report found

no evidence the president and his campaign colluded with russia, but as far as obstruction of justice, he said while this report does not conclude the president committed a crime, it does not exonerate him. >> he has a fuller explanation of that in the report that i'll be making available. >> reporter: since barr's summary, the president casting his own narrative, no collusion, no obstruction. >> there can't be anything there, because there is no crime. there was no anything. >> reporter: barr has said some information in the report will be redacted as it relates to grand jury material, classified information, or details about ongoing investigations, as well as materials vf s affecting peripheral third parties. the white house has received broad guidance about what is in the report and is preparing a response. >> abc new also have sperm coverage on the release of the report tomorrow morning and updates starting at 4:30 a.m. former press secretary for

thpridt trhaean spicer spoke at uc berkeley. hundreds were turned away from the doors. he recounted the election and how the trump campaign overcame the scrutiny from the media. he also helped for a less hostile political discourse. >> i respect liberal democrats. we can disagree, we don't have to be mean about it. >> the berkeley college republicans sponsored the event. there were no protests there tonight. in the east bay, a community is rallying around a brentwood family, fighting to keep their father in the u.s. he sought political asylum 30 years ago but lost his case and faces deportation. our reporter has more. >> reporter: the family spent a lot of time at their gas station in brentwood. >> we want him to go home.

>> reporter: the missing family member is her husband. he's in i.c.e. custody and faces deportation to pakistan, a country he left 30 years ago. >> this is a situation that i.c.e. can put him on a plane at any time. >> reporter: she says she's struggling. it's hard to manage a business, three kids, and fight her husband's deportation. >> how am i going to live without him? >> he was not running away from his life. >> reporter: his lawyer climbs he was the victim of an immigration scam quhwhen he arrd in the u.s. as a teenager. his lawyers are trying a new strategy, and petitions for a new case. >> 30 years a resident, family ties, paying taxes, contributing to the community. that's going to be a very positive factor. >> he's a great guy. i feel a shame to be a u.s. citizen when we take people like him out of the country. >> reporter: the family has gotten a tremendous amount of

support, but the threat of deportation weighs heavily, especiall on herkids. >> try to keep up with my grades and do whatever i can to make it easier for our education and for us to succeed. >> reporter: the lawyer says if he gets deported before his new case, that would likely end any chance at immigration. we reached out to i.c.e. but did not hear back. in the north bay, the mother who narrowly escaped an out of control with her two kids is talking about the experience. you've seen this, a surveillance camera captured that incident. the family was stepping out of a vehicle when a driver lost control, missing them by inches. >> i thought the car was very close to me, and i'm like, it's coming, but i cannot do anything, like nothing else. i can't believe it. i can't believe that we are alive.

service due to an issue with the pins that connect the cars. this is what the pins look like. a spokesperson tells us a train operator heard a loud pop last friday and discovered a pin had broken. it did not disconnect the trains. there's no estimate when the train also be back in service. as part of our efforts to build a better bay area, we're examining possible solutions to improve the quality of life. one san francisco supervisor has an idea, increasing the city's grocery bag fee from ten cents to 25 cents. it will further cut down on plastic waste and points out several other cities have increased bag es elimina the smaller plastic bags used for produce. >> it would be very item for granolas and our nuts and that sort of thing. >> if the proposal passes, it would go into effect next july. we want to hear your areas about
