a serious problem westbound 24 in oakland near telegraph. all lanes are blocked with an accident. originally just started in one lane and then other cars came in hot. so now we have full freeway closure. so broadway would be the best exit. thank you, sue. it is the day many people in washington have been waiting for, the department of justice is expected to release a reda redacted version of the mueller report this morning. before that happens attorney general william barr will hold a news conference in about two hours. abc news reporter elizabeth hurr to explain why democrats are outraged. >> reporter: they say, democrats, rather, it is just wrong and unnecessary. that press conference. they are saying that the press conference should be canceled. but for now it's still on. attorney general william barr coming under fire after

announcing he will hold a press conference before releasing a redacted version of the mueller report. >> the attorney general appears to be waging a media campaign on behalf of president trump . >> reporter: democrats calling on barr to let the report speak for itself. senate minority leader chuck schumer saying the process is poisoned while nancy pelosi says ag barr has thrown out his credibility. that the justice department has discussed the special counsel's findings with the white house. >> i've not seen it. the president hasn't seen it. >> reporter: but it was president trump who broke the news about barr's press conference during a radio interview yesterday. >> you'll see a lot of very strong things come out. >> reporter: barr has said mueller found no evidence he colluded. but far concluded there was not enough evidence to prove that.

"the washington post" is now reporting mueller report will be lightly redacted and the report will reveal that mueller decided he could not come to a conclusion on obstruction because it was too difficult to determine trump's intent. and new this morning pelosi and shum eachumer release add joint statement calling on mueller himself to testify as soon as possible saying it is now the only way to begin restoring public trust in the investigation. we're live in washington. i'm elizabeth hur for abc 7 news. abc news will have special live coverage on the mueller report. attorney general william barr will hold a press conference in two hours at 6:30 and we will bring that to you live. then the justice department is set to release the 400-page report between 8:00 and 9:00 this morning. first to congress and then to the public. abc news will also have live special coverage when that happens. in the south bay a santa clara county health officials confirmed a person with measles

visited google's mountain view campus. buzz feed news obtained an email sent to google employees claiming a worker who had been to the company's 1295 charleston road building had been diagnosed with measles. the building is located in santa clara county, so health officials with the county are conducting contact investigations. the county has a high vaccination rate of 96%. >> you would also expect the vaccination rate to be high and you would not expect much spread. >> officials say they've had four confirmed measles cases so far this year all unrelated and separate from this latest scare at google. to learn more about the measles including symptoms and how the disease is spread go to abc7news.com. happening today two more bay area tech companies are going public. videoconferencing company zoom will begin trading on the nasdaq at $36 a share making it worth over just $9 billion. zoom is based in san jose.

the other big offering this morning, pinterest. the san francisco company is pricing its ipo on the new york stock exchange at $19 a share. that will make the company worth $10 billion. we'll bring you the opening bells for both pinterest and zoom at 6:30. happening now france is paying tribute to the men and women who saved notre dame cathedral from collapse. more than 400 firefighters took part in the nine-hour battle to save the 12th century landmark on monday. they are the guests of honor at a gathering hosted by french president emmanuel macron. the city will also hold a ceremony in the firefighters' honor featuring a concert. investigators think the fire was an accident. more than a billion dollars has already been pledged to rebuild the damaged cathedral. a look at what's going on in some neighborhoods. we'll start in san francisco, around the fringes, the marina, over towards ocean beach and down towards lake merced and we

here is a look around the state, 9 spri low to mid-80s, sacramento, chico, los angeles, 80. 75 at san diego. 76 monterey. even 70 in yosemite today. and look at this forecast for tahoe. it is going to be melting, the snow, that is. everywhere else low to upper 60s. thank you, mike. san francisco muni's new rail cars are running into serious mechanical issues. a spokesperson tells us a train operator heard a loud pop last friday and discovered a connector fin had broken. the pins keep them connected to each other. muni is running as single cars only while it investigates the issue. meantime "the examiner" reports doors on some of the new rail cars clamped down and lock on people and objects. the doors are supposed to open when they sense an obstruction. "the examiner" says a woman was injured when her hand got caught

in the door last week and was dragged down the platform. food trucks will soon feature color coded placards to notify people of health code violations. health officials are launching regular health inspections on food trucks. they'll issue one of four different colored signs. red would indicate the most severe violations. green will signify no or minimal problems. food truck operators will be required to display those signs. in the north bay the mom who narrowly escaped an out-of-control car with her two kids is talking about the terrifying experience. a surveillance camera captured the frightening moment. the family was walking out of a restaurant monday when a driver lost control. >> i saw the car very close to me and, i'm like, it's coming but i cannot do anything, nothing else. i couldn't believe it. i can't believe it, we are alive.

20,000 people lit up in golden gate park for the pot holiday erondos nor s are expected to saons 4/20. officials want to make sure everyone is safe. warriors fans will have this building a temporary ferry landing a few blocks from the center. it will be used for ferry service during warriors games and other special events. the same is to have it operating by october 1st. governor gavin newsom says he is sticking to his plan for a new state water tax despite harsh opposition. he says hundreds of thousands of californians only have access to contaminated water. newsom wants to charge water customers extra fees ranging from 95 cents up to $10. low income households would be exempt. the governor says it would go to wells, aiding public water
