to imi tsn the 50s. while we hit the 70s around the bay, we won't warm much because the sea at 7:00. grab the coat. mid-60s will feel cooler once the breeze kicks in. sue with another look at the commute. we're keeping an eye on the richmon/san rafael bridge which has been terrible the last few weeks with emergency road repair and those plates about mid span. right now it's very light at the toll plaza, although you will have just one lane on the westbound and eastbound direction due to the road work that they should be picking up. the backup during the normal commute hours has been horrendous. reports of a car fire sbdz 101 near the dumps off on the right-hand shoulder. fire trucks may be blocking one of the two lanes shortly. we'll keep you updated. sue, thank you. developing news on president trump this morning claiming

vindication. meanwhile democrats plotting their next step after the mueller investigation report was finally released. and here is reporter serena marshall. >> reporter: a jubilant president trump -- >> i'm having a good day, too. it was called no collusion, no obstruction. >> reporter: reacting to the long-awaited release of the mueller report. that's a far different reaction than he had the day the special counsel was appointed 22 months ago. the report detailing the president slumped back in his chair and said, oh, my god. this is terrible. this is the end of my presidency. i'm blanked. the report outlined no evidence of a criminal conspiracy between the president or his associates and russian meddling in the 20t. but on struction, t counsel declari if we had confidence after a thoro the president clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state. instead, robert mueller declined to clear the president on 11

possibly instances of obstruction of justice. and finding the president did repeatedly try to intervene, even pressured then white house counsel don mcgann to get him fired, an order he refused. a recurrent theme, mueller writes the president's efforts to influence the investigation were mostly unsuccessful, but that is largely because the persons who surrounded the president declined to carry out orders or accede to his requests. >> the responsibility now falls to congress to hold the president accountable for his actions. >> reporter: and they want to hear directly from the man behind the report, robert mueller by the end of may. h republicowever -- >> i think generally people are ready to move on. >> reporter: on thursday the president tweeted out a "game of thrones" inspired photo with the words game over this is far from over. the house speaker in a letter yesterday promising congress will not be silent.

toxic was found. happening today in the south bay, activists plan to protest the dumping of electric scooters in the guadalupe river near s.a.p. center. the organizer from the salmon and steelhead restoration group says he has pulled 30 scooters out. he plans to pull out more today. the group says the scooters contain lithium batteries and are a threat to the endangered steelhead trout in the river. scoot has pulled off of its electric scooters off the streets. the company sent an email to customers saying they need an update to help prevent theft. scoot was permitted to operate 625 escooters in san francisco. the company says that 435 of them were stolen in a five-month span. the streets early next week. you're never more than seven minutes away from my accuweather forecast. you can see the temperatures not quite as warm as yesterday in the north bay. first, i want to talk about this

morning if you're heading out low to mid-50s through most of our valleys in the east bay. concord out to pittsburg and antioch. low to mid-60s there. a look at other neighborhoods. 62 in oakland. 51 in san francisco. how often is oakland warmer than san francisco in the morning? good morning, vallejo. novato at 55 degrees. the golden gate bridge, this is the big story, the changing of the guard, the fog coming back in. right now it's just sitting more on the golden gate than any other place except for along the peninsula coast. it is going to spread eastward and spread along the coast during the morning commute. the caution you see on my commute planner is for the increasing fog this morning. this afternoon you won't have to worry about it. the north bay, mostly cloudy. 66 at 11:00. high clouds and sunshine and low to mid-70s this afternoon. sea breeze gets faster. you'll drop down to 64 degrees by 7:00. for the east bay we've got

we're not the only ones that are seeing less sunshine and cooler conditions today. monterey, 67. low to mid-80s. still around sacramento and chico, fresno 90. palm springs 98. low to mid-70s around san diego and los angeles. you can see the clouds overspreading from south to north. eventually they get thick enough tomorrow we have a chance of thunderstorms in the sierra and tahoe. a look at my seven-day forecast. and you'll notice that today's dry and 65. tomorrow a chance of thunderstorms and 52. the sun comes back out sunday. we're average at about 54. look at those mid to upper 60s. a lot of melting next week. thank you, mike. happening today the southern california couple who pleaded guilty to imprisoning and

torturing their own children heading back to court for sentencing. david and louise turpin were accused of abusing 12 of their 13 children. they pleaded guilty in february to torture, false imprisonment and endangering their children for dozens of years. a political mailer that many people received this week and saw on tv and online is being called racist propaganda. many san franciscans received it including mayor london breed. kate larsen has the story. it's offensive, it's hurtful, it's disrespectful. >> reporter: mayor london breed says she is disgusted by this political mailer which equates a state housing bill with negro removal, a reference to a painful time in san francisco history. >> i lived through it, and it happened, and we are still sadly living with the impacts. >> reporter: the mailer and tv ads have been seen througout san francisco this week with the 1963 quote from author and activist james baldwin.

the pain of black people. >> reporter: reverend amos brown is president of the san francisco branch of the naacp. he received the flyier in mail. even those opposed like supervisor gordon marr oppose this flier. i'm kate larsen, abc 7 news. california gas prices have been going up about 2 cents a day for the past week. >> aaa reports the nationwide average is now $2.84 per gallon. in california it is much higher, over $4. san francisco pay the most at $4.15. it is a switch to a more expensive summer blend, production problems, and a mystery 30 cent surcharge. >> when you add all those together you would expect our gasoline to be about 60 cents to 70 cents higher.
