we willta in the 60s at the coast. we'll jump mid to upper 40s to low to mid-70s by noon and upper 70s and still gorgeous. low to mid-70s. here is alexis. we were getting word of a new crash in the east bay this is in the hayward area southbound 880 just past tennyson road. sounds like a motorcycle is involved and three left lanes blocked. i believe the other vehicle continued on. it does sound like we have injuries as well. i do think that we'll merge with our typical delays if you're coming from state route 238. keeping a close eye on that. not a lot of details yet but collision reported and that is

in one lane. an update on both in just a few. following breaking news, a strong earthquake shook the philippines briefly knocking out power. the 6.1 quake hit at 2:11 this morning our time. you're going to see some video now of a chandelier on your screen. many evacuated buildings as the quick hit. officials say an old church damaged and some bolders rolled down a hill onto a highway. so far no reports of any injuries. developing now reports of serious problems with the new muni trains. >> one malfunction reportedly threw a woman onto the tracks, and now san francisco is considering delaying a new order. abc 7 news live this morning. >> reporter: good morning, reggie and jessica. sf mta wants the city to fast track buying 150 new muni trains. one supervisor says that would

be irresponsible after learning of the problem they are having with the new fleet. it shows a woman's hand being trapped and dragged at the embarcadero station. the train doors are locking. the woman was hospitalized in serious condition but released four days later. that's not the only problem. muni had an incident a pin that holds cars together snapped while the train was in operation. they are calling for an independent investigation into muni's problems. muni says it's working on solutions. >> we're working to upgrade the current trains with safety enhancement. >> reporter: the public utilities commission is conducting their own investigation. the muni vote is set for tuesday. >> and "good morning america"

the coming months and say that'. they're going to discuss the tree removal. public works has been conducting door-to-door outreach. a controversial proposal for a navigation center along san francisco's embarcadero takes a big step forward tomorrow. the port commission is scheduled to vote on a resolution that would authorize a contract with the department of homelessness and supportive housing. it recommended the approval of the center that would bring 130 beds to the lot. the original proposal calls for 225 beds. officials revised the plan after neighbors voiced their concerns about it. a close call for a young girl in vacaville. what she did that probably saved her from a suspicious driver. new concern this morning about boeing jets. a report raising questions about dreamliner production. here is a live look from mt.

take a look at neighborhoods in the south bay, a lot of upper 40s to near 50. we do have alum rock at 45. some of our cooler spots and you can see a lot of upper 40s to 50-degree temperatures, a few mid-40s in the north bay, lafayet lafayette, danville. strawberries, got some already yesterday from the farms. golden gate bridge, no fog there. dress in layers. we're in the 40s and 50s now. 70s and 80s this afternoon. tranquil on the bay today and strong sunshine. the peninsula, mid-70s during the afternoon hours. total sunshine. east bay valleys, a huge drop. some of your neighborhoods are in the mid-40s and you'll jump into the mid-80s. that's 40 degrees of warming. the south bay almost as close, 49 this morning, nearing 70 at noon and 80 from 3:00 to 5:00. this is just the beginning. wait until i show you next few days coming up. up to about four miles.

happening today, house speaker nancy pelosi will hold a conference call with house democrats to discuss the mueller report and next steps. she insists congress, quote, will not be silent after the justice department released a redacted version of the report last week. chairman adam schiff says over the coming weeks the caucus will weigh the option of pursuing president trump's impeachment. president trump fired back saying, quote, how do you impeach a republican president for a crime that was committed by democrats? new video of a car following a girl through a neighborhood. vacaville police releasing this. it shows the girl walking alonel the girl says she hid behind the track after she notice add man in a dark colored pontiac following her.

to mid-40s until you get into places like pittsburg and tracy, upper 50s there. that's where some of the warmest weather will be this week. a look from south beach and you can see the bay bridge is quiet this morning. there was a little bit of fog near napa and half moon bay earlier. not seeing quite as much anymore. most of the commute will be good. mass transit, cool and warm weather this afternoon. look at the jump in the north bay. 47 to 7:00. already in the 70s at 11:00. a great evening, 75 degrees. here is a look at the east bay. 50 at 7:00. we'll be in the mid-70s this afternoon. wouldn't be surprised if many neighborhoods hit 76 to 77 degrees for highs. in san francisco, upper 60s after starting near 50 at 7:00. the closer you get to downtown the closer to the low to mid-70s. tomorrow and wednesday the warmest days this week. we were talking about it and excited about how light the

morning. nathaniel rowland will be in court in south carolina. 21-year-old samantha josephson was murdered after mistaking rowland's car for her uber. after she got into the car rowland activated the child safety door locks to prevent her from escaping. abc 7 news is committed to covering the issues affecting all of us as we build a better bay area. just in time for earth day a new pilot program to stop illegal dumping on city streets. a team of volunteers will spend two hours picking up trash in oakland. then community leaders will release more details about the pilot program that includes conducting neighborhood surveys. the data will be given to an illegal dumping that's responsible for keeping streets cleaner and safer. another popular san francisco restaurant is now closed. >> the elite cafe serves southern style food, and this was the crowd yesterday. the restaurant's last day in

business. the cafe can't keep up with rising costs, so it's now up for sale. there have been some interested buyers but nothing concrete yet. a san francisco startup trying to make returns easier is getting a big boost. they raised $19 million. returnly lets you get refunds for things you buy online before you actually return the item. you get store credit not cash. the idea is you get your money back faster and it's good for stores because customers spend more than their original purchase. trading getting under way at the new york stock exchange. you can see we're down in the red 35 points. tesla set to report its quarterly earnings on wednesday. investors are bracing for a loss as the company tries to increase production to meet demand. a new car seat law could have some kids in booster seats in middle school. it's happening in washington state. the governor there signed a new law updating regulations.
