good morning. you can see the fog out there. it's beginning to break up. there's a system keeping us mild. partly cloudy skies for you. numbers are in low to mid-50s for san francisco, oakland and san jose. as we look at santa cruz it's gray there. it will take a while for the sun the come out there. it's going to be cool in the low 60s. how about 50 in santa rosa with 57 in concord. you're dayplanner today looks like temperatures will come up through the 60s in our inland valleys and mid-60s should do it by noontime. by the afternoon we're trimming

another 3 to 5 degrees off your inland high. chris. a suspect is in custody after a shooting at a san diego county synagogue that left one person dead and three others wounded. amng those hur among those hurt, a rabbi and a young girl. abc news chief correspondent has more. >> reporter: overnight, heavily armed police raiding the home where john earnest lives with his parents. accused of attacking this house of worship in the midst of of of sabbath services. >> the spray of bullets

shattering the service that would mark the end of passover.. he was killed. three others wounded including the rabbi who doubles as a sheriff's deputy and despite being shot in the leg s, witness say became a hero. >> my brother-in-law saving kids arrived at front of the incident. he's got one of his shots in his leg. >> reporter: an off duty border patrol agent chased the suspect away firing multiple times. authorities say the suspect was apprehended minutes later.

there 11 people were killed. six others wounded. it marked the deadliest attack on jews in the history of the united states. it's a fact that may not have been lost on earnest who police say left an open letter referencing that attack, that post also bragging about the mosque arson here in san diego last month. >> we will have extra patrols in the area as well as san diego police department around most of our house of worship in san diego county. >> police are on heightened alert sending extra patrols to

purpose. the fbi san francisco officer is conducting the investigation. peoples is charged with eight counts of attempted murder. the c and injured seven others. police said they found especially that peoples may have targeted the victims based on race and belief they were muslim. he's due back in court on play 16th. a bay area triple homicide suspect has been taken into custody. they believe he is responsible for a third shooting in berkeley. >> reporter: the murder spree began on friday around 10:15 a.m. in oakland when jefferson shot and killed 57-year-old marcus jackson. jackson and jefferson are related. he said the suspect committed the crime right outside of his

mother's house. off camera, his mother said he is grieving. several hours later at 1:27 p.m., police say jefferson drove to san francisco and killed 59-year-old le'ron davis. >> he was on job. taking the garbage out and the guy shot him. >> reporter: police connected the oakland and san francisco shootings to jefferson friday. ucpd berkeley revealed the department is considering jefferson the main suspect in the homicide in peoples park. that took place at 2:40 p.m. >> we're not cool anymore. bam. >> reporter: stephen said he had seen jefferson before. >> i recognized him. i knew he was the guy that came in the park before. puts the gun in his pocket, go to the car which was double parked on the streets and drive

off. >> reporter: an alert was sent out and around 9:45 p.m. on friday, jefferson was spotted in south lake tahoe but continued driving across to nevada. jefferson was arrested after a shoot out with deputies. >> the vehicle stopped and the driver fired a hand gun striking one deputy in the hand. >> reporter: the suspect remains under arrest but it's likely he will be extradited to california to face murder charges. in washington state, investigators are trying to determine what caused a tower crane to come crashing down to stlooeflt killing four people. it happened yesterday in the south lake union neighborhood aptat a google campus under construction. two people in two separate cars were killed by the impact. two workers in the crane also died. four others suffered non-life threatening injuries. >> that could have been me.

east bay. we'll be looking at south winds up to 20 miles an hour. it will keep a chill in the air if you're close to the water. the clouds are clearing, sunny and cool to mild today. we'll keep the forecast for the week ahead. we're not looking at any big time heat. maybe a little modifying of temperatures by the end of the week. we're a little bit milder than that. redwood city, oakland and san francisco running a bit below average. a push along the coast. pefully some sun for you.

57 across the bay in oakland. 76 in livermore. still pretty mild with upper 70s. lots of things going on around the bay today. in fact, another day where the giants to give a whirl with the yankees. upper 50s to near 60. sunshine, coming into the city and over into the bay. it will be cool and breezy at times but we're already into the sun here. low to mid-60s by the afternoon and for the next couple of hours as we head over into oakland numbers climbing through the low to mid-60s today for the warriors game. we're looking pretty sunny in a and around san francisco but the accuweather seven-day forecast shows the trend will come down through the early part of the week when another system drops down from the north. that should mix out the marine clouds and bring us bright and breezy conditions. the trent will be for 50s

we have more sun than clouds. you can see the marine layer. that's influencing our high temperature and inland valleys. 74 in santa rosa. we're cooling off tomorrow and tuesday. a rebound or recovery for thursday and friday. highs today. cool at the coast. partly sunny there. the rest of us enjoying the sun and away from the bay it's mild into the 70s. closer to the bay where the fog is just about to clear. could be breezy and tomorrow we'll look for the gray to start a sunny finish. tuesday and wednesday we're cool cooler. we've got a lot of sun throughout the week. we can't really muster up too much change. maybe a couple of degrees warmer into next weekend. could be another system that comes our way cooling us off. that's what spring is about. usually the cool weather and stabilization or the low clouds and fog that continue to sort of dictate the highs around the
