>> like scooters have just rocketed in popularity. at one point after they launched, they were just scattered all over san francisco. you see just littering sidewalks. the city ended up issuing permits. the scooter company got bumped on that san francisco streets by scoot and skip of the company got creative to get back into the scooter market. they have formally been in place since last year. now booted from these sidewalks, they say they've scooted back by offering an unlimited monthly rental option as opposed to a shared by the minute rental. >> once again they are giving

way to do and people haven't confront what the data says. so i try to go through. why might you be concerned? why you probably should not be. there isn't any evidence that vaccines cause autism. know that from big convincing studies. i think it is important to help people see that. >> it seems to get perpetuated. somebody reads something and then it just snow balls. >> i always say, one of my least favorite things is people say a study shows. a study can show anything. what does all the evidence show together? >> talking about more data, what about breast feeding? that's another thing. do you do it? do you not? what about it? >> i think we get so much pressure about breast feeding as a new mom. you get told these very grand yoss things like it will cause better friendships. i don't know what your friends are like. >> i've never heard that one. >> you can find that on the internet. i try to look at what the best

evidence supports. and the answer is, there are some benefits to breast feeding for sure. better digestion early on. maybe even reductions in breast cancer for the mom. but some of the more aggressive things you hear like breast feeding will cause your kid to have higher i.q. points or thinner later, those are not supported in the best data. so when you really confront that, it says maybe some of this pressure is a little more than it would need to be and we should try, if it doesn't work or it's not for them. >> putting babies on their back. not swaddling past eight weeks because they could roll over. it is scary stuff when you think about it. everybody wants their baby to be thriving. the risks are so scary. how can people think about these

risks? like if you do it in the safest way possible, you're not on a sofa. you're not smoking and drinking. there is still a risk but it is very small. the preferences the family has. >> one of the things you say, well, you're putting your kid in the car. it does have some risk. rather than saying, i'm trying to avoid all risks, we're taking some risks and we want to put the sleep risks in the context of some of the risks we know we must be comfortable taking because we're driving. >> and your book, crib sheet. >> my husband did that. >> i think a lot of the things with parenting, and i'm always researching, it is overwhelming. i assume this is a good way to really just pare down and look at the things most important. >> yeah. and to say that there are a lot of right choices. so much in parenting, there is my choice or the wrong choice.
