interest a highway overpass in san francisco. it happened at harriet and harrison streets. the street was closed so that caltrans and the police department could investigate. no one was hurt, no vehicles damaged. they did reopen at about 10:00 last night. the lockdown is lifted where a gunman opened fire in a classroom on the last day of classes at unc. two are dead, four others injured. jessica, you've been tracking updates. what do we know? >> we have been tracking updates this morning. its sports reporter is recovering from surgery after he was wounded. the fbi is joining the investigation as well as police identify the suspect as 22-year-old trystan terrell. law enforcement officials say an officer found him armed with a pistol. he was quickly disarmed and taken into tunt s they mistook

hundreds, spectators using their cars to block traffic and their bodies as human shields. innocent bystanders put in danger. >> it seems like a lot of fun but it's not because people get hurt and killed. >> reporter: a street racing accident killed an innocent bystander in 2015. an officer was injured in a sideshow in 2017. and in october 2018 a driver in a suspected street race struck another vehicle killing an innocent person. >> they're doing them right where people live, right where their kids are. that's not what we want. >> reporter: the ordinance looks for spectators within 200 feet of an illegal street show or where preparations are being made. what if someone was in the wrong place at the wrong time with no plans to participate? police will have to use their own discretion in those cases. the hope is to deter spectators. we know the police department is expected to meet in six months to discuss the measure's
