access for low-income families. surge pricing and not for your ride share but surge pricing for popular tourist spots in san francisco. >> that means prices could go up by 50% depending on the day or season. anser hassan is joining us with more on that. anser? >> reporter: good morning. one location is here, the other three the japanese tea gardens, the botanical and conservatory flowers. here is what is breg proposed. recreation and park officials want to switch to a flexibility pricing model at the four locations. for example, it costs $4 to visit any one of these hot spots. prices would go up or down depending on the time of day you visit and the season. if it's winter and raining outside the price could drop about 25%. price kos could go up up up popular times.

the change would reduce long times and wait times for visitors and would not affect people who live in san fran. not everyone likes the idea. protect coy tower, this would just confuse visitors. a separate vote dealing with lombard street, that is to charge a $5 fee and have them make a reservation to drive down the popular lombard street. the operation committee votes on surge pricing proposal today. if approved goes to the full commission in two weeks. they could go into effect as early as september. hi there, everyone. julian assange faces an extradition hearing happening in london to determine if he can be extradited to the u.s.

after 7:00. did you feel the 3.3 magnitude earthquake? >> centered about four miles south/southwest of calistoga hitting at 10:17 p.m. no reports of injuries or damage. mayor london breed is proposing a $628 million earthquake bond. the goal is to strengthen public safety infrastructure in the case of a large earthquake. mayor breed will implement it next tuesday. the proposal retrofits fire stations and for firefighter facilities. $121 million to retrofitting projects. if approved the bond would be placed on the march 2020 ballot. new details in the 10-year-old case after man killed by a b.a.r.t. officer. >> what it says are repeated

lies told by one of the officers involved in the oscar grant case. amy hollyfield is live for us in the newsroom. >> reporter: this report calls no question the officer's defense in the case. the b.a.r.t. police officer who shot and killed oscar grant, johannes mehserle, said he thought he was reaching for his taser that night not his gun. this report shows based on enhanced video evidence he reached for his gun twice and the final time he can be seen looking at the gun watching it come out of the holster. this report is ten years old but is just now being released to the public because of a new state transparency law. oscar grant's family says the law is critical for overseeing officer conduct. >> and we as families support the bill, know that what's in the officer's personal folder was not privy to the public. and because it wasn't privy to the public or the oversight committee there was no way we could help make officers

senators yesterday after it was himself had some issues how he was characterizing his findings. now a growing number of hopefuls are calling on barr to resign. >> this attorney general lacks all credibility and has, i think, compromised the american public's ability to believe that he is a purveyor of justice. >> should barr resign? >> i think he should. >> in fact, lawmakers learned yesterday that special counsel robert mueller had complained about barr's characterization of his report in a letter as well as a phone call. now one of the big questions that is out there still is will robert mueller himself appear before lawmakers. chairman lindsey graham is saying no. his democratic counterpart in the house jerry nadler wants to see mueller before the committee in two weeks. bottom line, though, you mentioned this earlier, reggie, kamala harris really grilled

barr yesterday. so the democrats really looking at this thing as a win day, really pointing out there was a difference of opinion between mueller and barr after the letter came out. the republicans, president trump saying barr did a fantastic job. that's what he told fox business news yesterday. pretty happy he's not going to be out there again today. will mueller come in and clear things up. >> thanks for tracking that. police searching for a suspect in a deadly shooting on 22nd and barkley street. police tell us just before 4:15 they got a shot spot notification, the police technology involved in cities that picks up the sound of gunshots. when officers arrived they found a man who had been shot and he later died. pg&e proposing a plan to place $105 million into a special fund to help victims of the campfire and the north bay wildfires. and pg&e's filing yesterday in bankruptcy court the utility said the funding would cover

housing and other immediate needs for victims of the fires. the u.s. bankruptcy judge is set at a may 22nd hearing. we're in for another disastrous fire season if a prediction comes true. they say the wet winter is producing heavy vegetation in california that will eventually dry and turn into fuel for wildfires. higher elevations will likely see a later fire season because of the record setting snowpack. our media partner "the mercury news" reports dominick caserta claims his reputation was damaged after emails were accidentally sent to all district employees. email contained his personnel file as well as sexual harassment allegations since 2002. the email was mistakenly sent last year during caserta's campaign for supervisor. it created a, quote, witch trial

atmosphere that destroyed his life almost overnight. libby schaaf's proposed budget, $110 million goes toward road repairs. $74 million toward children and schools. $21 million for homeless services. the oakland city counsel will vote before the fiscal year begins july 1st. in the south bay the bishop of the diocese of san jose is retiring. bishop patrick mcgraw has served in the role nearly 20 years. last year mcgraw faced criticism for planning to retire to a $2.3 million home. he later said he would spend his retirement at a rectory. he is only the second leader. bishop cant succeeding him. check out the temperatures. we're along the east bay where we have upper 40s and low 50s from hayward and fremont at 47.
