and it's 50 half moon bay and from pier 39, cloudy skies and from san francisco, partly cloudy and low 50s and santa rosa and the cloud deck pretty tall for not involv anything visibility issues. as we look at santa cruz we see some sun here later, but we'll look for temperatures to climb in the 70s in the inland valleys and that will be the warm spot and high 70s in the afternoon and low 70s around the bay, but fog still hanging tight to the shoreline today. chris? >> lisa, thank you. breaking news out of south san francisco. a deadly, fiery crash involving a tour bus on highway 101 has shut down threenghea peonie officials say two other people were taken to the hospital. right now their injuries are unknown. people were treated at the scene and it is unclear what

happened, but the chp says the tour bus and two other vehicles caught fire and traffic is being diverted to the bay shore boulevard off ramp. officer diaz joins us on the phone. >> good morning, what else can you tell us about the crash? >> good morning. yeah. so it looks like just before 1:00 this morning we received a call of a multi-vehicle collision that involved a tour bus and it was off the parkway. when officers arrived onr bus that had caught on fire and it appeared to have burned down along with four other total vehicles that were involved in this collision. it is still under investigation and we do know that the tour bus company is out of san francisco by the name of peninsula and we believe they were headed out to union square out to an event out

the there. there were 18 passengers, plus the driver, 19 total and they were able to exit the tour bus engulfing in flames. at this point we do know there were three transported to sf general with unknown injuries and unfortunately, was there one pronounced deceased o s as of right now we do have northbound 101 just south of oyster point and we have the number one and the number three lanes blocked. >> officer diaz, just to confirm this is in the area close to where brisbane and south san francisco meet at the border there? >> that's correct. >> all traffic is being diverted to the bay shore boulevard. >> are the vehicles involved in the crash including the tour bus still at the scene? >> i believe that right now we

have the tow trucks that are looking to clear some of the vehicles. i'm not currently at the scene now. i do know that the tow trucks have been called to remove some of the vehicles from there. however, it is still kind of a messy scene there. >> of course. it's been seven hours now since the crash and three of the seven lanes are still closed as you mentioned. the investigation quite extensive. we can see the images. this was just a horrific >> again, that update was from the chp officer bert diaz telling us the tour bus based out of san francisco was headed to union square at the time that this was happening. i want to show you our traffic map now. you can see the red portion on the traffic map. that's where the heavy traffic in the area is and that's because one lane is open and as officer diaz was saying there is no of the mated time for when

and it lifted to the right and then it lifted to the left and then it sort of swerved and then it came to a complete, like, like a crash stop. >> the flight originated from guantanamo bay and was headed to naval air station jacksonville and that's where the 737 went off the runway and into st. john's river. officials say this flight was contracted by the department of defense and it's a regularly scheduled flight for military and civilian personnel and nas jacksonville says 136 passengers and seven crew members were onboard and 21 adults and some with minor injuries were taken to hospitals. >> as i was enroute here i heard that we had no critical injuries to say that i was wiping sweat off my brow would be, of course, an understatement. >> an absolute miracle. the mayor of jacksonville says president trump called to offer help as the situation was first

developing. there's no indication of what led to the skid at this point, but there had been thunderstorms in the area. crews have also been working to contain jet fuel that was leaking into the river. back here at home. more disturbing graffiti was found on campaign at a california high school in san ramon yesterday and this time with the words may 9th and the use of a racial slur. the district says no threat had been made and it was found on the wall of a shack near the football field and on thursday police watched over the campus when a threatening message was discovered in the bathroom and that one also mentioned may 9th. >> building a better bay area doesn't come without growing pains. one of the difficult issues we're focusing on is homelessness. in the city of santa cruz an unsanctioned homeless encampment is no more. abc 7 news reporter amanda del

castillo has the details. >> reporter: dozens of tents remain in santa cruz, but most of the people who lived here are gone. the homeless spent all of friday moving belongings from the massive unsanctioned encampment following a court-ordered eviction. billy lowery is one of hundreds who have established a home here, an area considered unfit for people to be living in. >> as you see it was unheunheun dangerous. i can see that. >> tensions ran even higher when a small explosive device went off inside the camp friday. the police and fire chief tonated.it was intentionally >> we're in the process of investigating the type of device as well as the intent and the people associated wi advocating city streets is council member drew glover. when it comes to the issue of homelessness, equity and wealth distribution, short term, more than 60 spots were made available on 1220 river street

her into stanford. >> i thought you can always achieve the things that you want to if you try hard. >> this 2017 video emerged saying how lucky she was to be able to get into an american college. now there's word that federal prosecutors have sent zao a letter saying she was a target of a possible investigation and that usually means a grand jury is reviewing evidence. the oakland unified school district says the problem of lead in tap water is fixed. they're fixing or replacing those with dangerous lead levels. the problem was first discovered in 2016 when the water tested at the high school showed high levels of lead. an investigation found 22 more schools with water with lead. >> we are off of grand avenue in oakland. we'll meet the people behind the

the east bay. it's sunny in concord a do have nfog in livermore and the reason it is moving into the bay area tomorrow into monday and it will bring us clouds and even a slight chance of showers. here's the exploratorium camera where we can see some sunshinet cloud and 54 in oakland with 50 on the coast and half moon bay and emoriville, partly sunny conditions and 48 santa rosa and it is chilly in napa at 49 with 54 in concord and liver more and that fog moved in. if you're planning the week in the north bay. not too bad and want as warm as it's been. today in napa, we'll see 73 and just a little bit below average and look at what happens in through monday and the system moving the clouds and a stronger onshore push and in the

rebounding on tuesday and it's the end of the week, but the warm-up comes into wednesday, thursday and friday. as we look at the fog it peels back to the shoreline throughout the day and by sunday, look what happens. sunday night with some showers that will move in from the south bay to the peninsula and the santa cruz mountains and maybe the north bay and by your monday morning commute still could see a chance of showers. for the month of may in fremont we average perhaps maybe a third to a half-inch of rain so not out of the question. april was below average in terms of rainfall and now getting into may, we could see a couple of hundreds to a tenth of an inch of rain through monday and 76 in san jose with sunny skies and 73 in sunnyvale and 72, pallo alto, and cool, breezy, 59 half moon bay and 71 in novato and mild

and the skies here, and you will see sunshine from san leandro. you head inland and plenty of sun and 76, and the accuweather seven-day forecast, upper coast, low 70s around the bay and upper 70s inland today and the warmer day out of the weekend tomorrow. we're cooler and the clouds increase late in the day and a chance of showers tonight and the numbers come down about six degrees inland and four degrees around the bay and the chance of showers lingers into your monday and download the accuweather app and you have raindrops on the panel on thursday. at this point it's a little too far out to pinpoint because it's late in the season because it does look interesting and it bears watching for showers possibly thursday into friday. so it's a little strange, but not that strange. i know we need and want some

let's start with a quick look at the accuweather forecast. here's meteorologist lisa argen tracking the conditions where you live. >> you have to get the sun in san francisco from the roof camera. you can see the wind blowing and the temperatures are all in the 50s and it looks milder with the numbers than it feels. 54 in san jose. 50 half moon bay and from the east bay hills camera, sunshine in concord and you can see the fog reaching balmer peak in the 40s and 54 where the sun has been shining in concord and 51

in livermore. we'll look for a sunny afternoon and it will be cooler and we'll have sun around santa cruz and by 1:00 we're reaching the low 70s in the delta and then the fog moves back in across the bay tonight. so while highs today will be trimmed back anywhere from 2 to 4 degrees we're looking at an even cooler sunday and we'll talk about it in detail in a few minutes. >> thank you. >> breaking news out of south san francisco. a deadly, fiery crash involving a tour bus has shut down three of the four northbound lanes on highway 101. it happened just beforening nea point parkway exit. we know one man has died and the chp tells us the tour bus is called peninsula tour base in san francisco and it's believed the bus is headed toward union square and 19 people were onboard including the driver and they were able to escape the flames and three people were taken to the hospital. their injuries are unknown. the tour bus and at least two
