i'm chris nguyen. let's start with the first look at the accuweather forecast. here's meteorologist lisa argen. these tracking live doppler 7 for us. >> hi, chris. we have low clouds and fog greeting us this morning. mount tam, the sun is officially about to come up. temperatures are in the 50s and 54 for you in oakland and half moon bay with 57 over in oakland. you can see the clouds and san bruno and sfo. no delays and we are looking at the low clouds and fog to peel away at the shorelines and partly sunny skies out there. it is 53 in santa rosa and 52 with a good delta breeze. we are looking at temperatures seasonal this time of year. it's pretty gray, but temperatures will be 67, and 70s in the valleys and 71 around the bay and staying in the upper 50s to mid-60s at the shoreline.

applications skyrocketed to 50. they decided to build the one-bedroom unit to keep their daughter and son-in-law close. >> in other places they'd probably be well enough off that they could afford to buy a house. well, they can't here in the valley. >> a recent report ranks the san jose metro as the most expensive area in the country to buy a home. stanley acton is behind the baines unit. >> the keeping the families together piece of it seems to be a big part of this. >> all part of what he says is one area to the bay area's housing crisis. >> what they're doing is providing housing for those that probably wouldn't have an opportunity to live in the bay area. for baines, he and his wife will live in the main house until grandchildren force a switch. parents in my backyard or pimbe will be the next trend they'll take on. >> it's still my daughter in the

up to 20 miles an hour with us throughout the day. good morning, san francisco, 54 for you as well as the coastline. it is 57 in san jose and 58 in mountain view, and golden gate bridge, the clouds here. so you're looking at kind of a cool start out there and we are in the mid-50s all of the way up in napa and 52 by the delta. it has been breezy there. concord and livermore, cloudy and 57 in concord, and we are getting a bit of a breeze out towards the delta and finally walnut creek this morning, you can see just a little bit of sunshine right there and you, of course, will be first to see that sun throughout the mid-morning hours and low clouds and fog to start out for everyone and mainly sunny and mild for mother's day weekend and we're talking a couple of degree difference for the inland valleys and otherwise the cooler weather heads our way once again and we've been doing this week after week for the second half of the upcoming workweek and we

can even see a few showers. as you look at the hour by hour forecast and we will have the push of clouds to the coast and back to the shoreline not only today, but a repeat performance into your mother's day. looking at temperatures pretty nice in the inland valleys and numbers into the 80s. . 82, partly sun we winds up to 70 miles an hour. 72 in santa cruz and it is clear along the central coast and we'll be looking at that sun as we get to 9:00, 10:00 around the bay. san jose will be near average about 75 today and that's their average high. today's 77, going up three or so tomorrow and not a lot of change

for the beginning of the week and it wice presreffhe coast and that could bringhowers and temperatures in the upper 60s by the end of the week. mother's day starting out cloudy and inland, 68 around the bay and near 80 by 4:00 in our inland valley. 77 in san jose. 76 in sunnyvale. on the peninsula nice and mild. 74, redwood city and san and t average high is 64 and in the north bay, we're looking at temperatures in the 70s and over in san leandro, fremont, 72 this afternoon with about 77 in pleasanton. the accuweather, seven-day forecast and 60s khoscoast, and mid-70s inland and then we're looking at a cooling trend and maybe some showers and it sounds like groundhog day around here, but for now that will have to do. >> good to see at least some 80s in the forecast at least for the east bay this weekend. >> should be good. >> thank you, lisa.

in pacifica. we'll keep that forecast on track for your mother's day and then talking about those changes by the middle of the week. chris? >> lisa, thank you. developing this morning the search continues for a missing 4-year-old from houon a spokesperson for the mother of maleah davis is now accusing the stepfather of abuse. this comes as we get a look at new surveillance photos. abc 4's ariel rasha has the update. >> the mother of 4-year-old maleah davis making new allegations claiming the stepfather was abusive. >> this image shows maleah's stepfather derrian vence carrying a plastic bag and he walked into a hospital after he claims he woke up on the side of the road. he was heading topickupher mother at the airport when three

men pulled up in a pickup truck. >> one of them makes a comment saying maleah looks very nice and very sweet. vence claimed he was beaten, but officers say his story changed several times. maleah was removed from the home after a head injury, but returned in february. the family was being monitored. maleah's mother pressed on why she is only now sharing these allegations. this mother has suffered a lot of abuse in her life. >> reporter: police have not commented on those allegations. the search for maleah is a race against time and she requires constant medical care after brain surgeries for that head injury. a murder suspect and the female driver are in custody after leading police on a wild chase. watch as the suspect leans out the passenger window and fires at a dozen patrol cars. multiple officers returned fire and the woman who was driving eventually surrendered.

police took the murder suspect into custody after a brief standoff. that man was wanted in a deadly shooting of a liquor store clerk earlier this week. a top democrat is issuing subpoenas for president trump's tax records. steph stephen mnuchin said he would not provide the tax records because the request, quote, lacks a legitimate, legislative purpose. virgin galactic is moving from california to new mexico ahead of its first commercial flight. founder richard branson says th. he says galactic will conduct the final test with only test pilots and crew members onboard. the company's spacecraft and 100 of its workers will move to a r working there. >> it's likeaseg uses robots
