>> reporter: the last man seen with her is behind bars charged with tampering with evidence. >> a warrant is obtained. >> reporter: these images obtained by abc capturing the last time she was reportedly seen wearing the pink tutu following her mother's ex-fiance into their houston home. three days later the same camera recording him carrying out a laundry basket with a garbage bag inside and a bottle of bleach. telling police that night he was stopped on the side of the road when he was attacked. his car and maleah davis taken by three men. he says he woke up 24 hours later, brought his 2-year-old son to the hospital and reported maleah missing. but police say these images show vence getting dropped off at the hospital in the same car he claimed was stolen.

investigators later finding that nissan where they say k-9s picked up the scent of human decomposition and inside the apartment they found blood evidence linked to maleah. he's expected in court monday morning. marci gonzalez, abc news, los angeles. >> thank you to marci there. our station in houston has been doing an incredible job on this tragic story. with investigators finding drops of what may be her blood in the apartment and evidence that someone tried to clean it up. it does not look good at all. >> they are the kind of developments you are hoping not to hear in this story. but police have said that vence changed the story multiple times and your alarm goes off when you're hearing that his son was with them and recovered.

so just sad development there is. turning to the weather, it's feeling like winter again here in the northeast. >> it's may. the storm systems that swept the south this weekend are soaking the eastern half of the country. there was even snow in the catskills. >> emergency services lad to pull people from flooded homes and vehicles. and it may have contributed to a freight train derailment. flood warnings in effect for many communities. >> severe storms are possible in texas. less severe storms are possible in florida and the southeast. and a weak nor'easter is developing off the northeast coast. the big story there is how cold it will be. in other news secretary of state mike pompeo is heading to russia tomorrow to meet with vladimir putin. it's the first face to face high level talks since the mueller report said russia interfered with the election.

the trip comes as president trump pivots back to trying to repair relations with russia and amid-growing tensions with venezuela, iran and north korea. a cargo ship seized by the u.s. has arrived in america to undergo inspections. it was towed after the north koreans were accused of using it to export coal. military officials say it will be remain docked in the territory until the justice department completes its investigation. president trump is taking a swipe at the fbi director while pushing back on a series of investigations launched by democrats following the mueller report. >> the president tweeted that the fbi has no leadership days after christopher wray disagreed the bureau spied on the trump campaign. they are working to block 20 probes and house democrats are considering imposing fines on those who refuse to testify. the last of the students wounded in the denver school shooting is home from the

hospital. court hearings are scheduled for wednesday. "the denver post" reports the denver area has had more school shootings per capita in the past 20 years than any other of the top 25 metro areas. kendrick castillo was killed while helping to stop the attack. the school's robotics team is among the groups honoring him. a suspect in a triple murder was arrested just as he was about to take off. christian martin is a pilot for american airlines subsidiary scheduled for a flight from louisville and was arrested at the airport. a mug shot shows him wearing his pilots uniform. he's accused of killing three people in kentucky. american airlines says a criminal background check on martin found nothing that would disqualify him as a commercial pilot.

the desperate housewife caught up in the varsity blues scandal returns to court today. >> fel expectedk in a boston courtroom to plead guilty for her role in a college admissions scam that shocked the country. >> a generous donation will ensure our kids bet them out. >> how generous? >> $15,000. >> reporter: she admitted to paying $15,000 to correct the answers to her daughter's exam improving her score by 400 points. she expressed deep regret and shame saying my daughter knew absolutely nothing about my actions. this transgression toward her and the public i will carry for the rest of my life. my desire to help my daughter is no excuse to break the law or engage in dishonesty. huffman now facing four to ten months behind bars as well as a year of probation and $20,000

images to determine why this national airlines jet was forced to make an emergency landing without its front wheels. the nose of the plane scraping down the tarmac. inside the cabin, passengers relatively calm but confused as smoke rises under their seats. then suddenly scramble as the crew commands them to get out using the emergency slides. the pilot of the 190 jet with 89 people on board forced to carry out the dramatic landing when the gear failed to deploy. officials now trying to discover what went wrong and just how close this incident was to disaster. but for now, the pilot and crew celebrated as heroes for averting what could have been another aviation tragedy. all 82 passengers and 7 crew walked away without a scratch. many even leaving with a smile. it was a textbook emergency landing. the pilot knew he didn't have the front wheels so he circled twice and dumped fuel to make
