briefly here at the police department. he tells us there were three shootings within two hours. they happened in different parts of the city, one at 10:00 last night. an apartment complex where it appears about 50 bullet holes in the area. cars were hit. one victim was shot -- >> okay, we're going to get back to amy when we deal with some of her microphone problems there. sorry about that. in the east bay we're going to talk about oakland police now have arrested a father for falsely reporting a carjacking. >> investigators claim the man said his 3-year-old was in the back seat because he wanted officers to find his stolen car faster. the car was stolen on international boulevard. police issued an amber alert for the little girl. the car was later found crashed in el cerrito and a suspect taken into custody. the girl was not in the car. it turns out she was safe with

mother before issuing the amber alert. testimony resumes today in the ghost ship fire trial. a sculptor will take the stand. he told the jury what it was like to live inside an rv, and said he stored flammable art supplies there but considered it a safe space. he escaped the night of the fire in 2016. defendants max harris and derick almena are on trial for 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter. 13 people are in need of a place to stay after a fire burned through an apartment building. a witness posted this video on the citizen app. you can seep the black smoke there. the fire broke out late yesterday afternoon near mission street ae in daly city. flames and smoke damaged several apartments on the second floor. everyone in the building made it out safely. get temporary shelter. the fire was completely out about four hours after it was reported. at the live desk, china just

announcing only a few minutes ago it is raising tariffs on $60 billion of u.s. goods. this is all in retaliation for new tariffs from the trump administration that were announced last week. the u.s. raised tariffs on $200 billion worth of chinese goods friday. president trump has been tweeting all morning long about last week's tariff hike. i have so far not seen any tweets about china's retaliation this morning, so we do expect that to come any moment now. this ongoing trade war rattling investors. it has throughout the week. look at this now, down 458 points. right now on the stork stonew y exchange. this is what we thought might happen when the opening bell rang. now you see it is coming to fruition down significantly. major numbers coming in this morning. we'll watch this throughout the day. hopefully it goes back up again. lisa, to you. good morning, jessica. we're looking at our high temperatures. the numbers coming down a little bit today.
