oppose the stadium >> luz, thank you so much. concord police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at round one bowling an amusement in sun valley shopping center. it happened just before midnight. two men enter the center rounded up the employees and locked them in a room before stealing an unconfirmed amount of cash. one witness says $15,000 was stolen. no other details, though have, been released. richmond police are investigating three separate shootings of four people within a 90-minute time frame last night. the first was reported at 10:00 p.m. on esmond avenue near 24th street. the second about near firststreet. third onnue ne south 47th street around 11:30 p.m. police say the shootings appear to be related to each other. all victims were taken to the hospital. no suspects have been identified. caltrain commuters are stil delays. that's because the single car of

christopher phillippi told abc7 news, quote, bart is very encouraged by the progress being made with the fleet of the future. by february of next year, bart anticipates having enough new cars to lengthen nearly all peak period trains to ten cars and remove the least reliable legacy cars from service. a san francisco police department has revamped its website. san francisco.org has been redesigned to provide more data and online services requested by the community through focus groups and surveys. chief william scott said part of the sfpd's transform initiative to help increase responsiveness, transparency and trust with the community. the san francisco board of supervisors will vote tomorrow on a proposal to ban city-run agencies from using facial recognition technology. the technology is used to run head shots through databases to look for suspects, prevent identity fraud, and make it easier for police to pinpoint a missing child or a protester in a crowd. supporters of the ban say the

pick up the daylight and the nighttime light and that will turn on the light. >> if you don't turn it on and off like that, then the bad guys know when you're home and when you're not? is that the problem? >> absolutely. what they're doing is they're watching your routine. on the surveillance, they'll al comes on, when it goes off. if it just stays on all the time, they're going to know that you're not home. >> okay. now let's talk about this. we have a screen -- security screen door. that seems safe, right? >> yes, it is. the problem with this door in particular, michael, is that it has a very dense screen. the actual burglars and people who want to get into your house, they carry tool so they can actually cut this, and they can reach in and unlock your door. the other problem is it has a very cheap lock on it. so this is a very cheap lock, like a grade three. they can bump lock this as well. what you want to so is change the components of the lock mechanism and make this a little tougher to cut so they can actually not get inside. >> how much would this cost?

it's really cool here in san francisco right now. only 59 degrees. that's about the high point so far today here in the city. 67 at oakland mountain view. 70 at san jose. 72 at santa cruz. 57 at half moon bay. and the view from emeryville shows a fairly bright western sky despite the buildup of low clouds there.a. na 78 at irf the inland locations e fairly mild. concord, 77. 76 at livermore. and the view from our rooftop camera here at abc7 news shows lots of blue sky looking towards the south-southeast. and these are our forecast features. it will be cloudy overnight with possible drizzle mainly near the coast. and then showers and possible thunderstorms will be with us wednesday through friday, with more stormy weather likely over the weekend. overnight look for increasing clouds. again, maybe some drizzle. mainly near the coast. overnight lows will generally be in a narrow range, low 50, 51 to 53 in most locations. tomorrow clouds linger.

the skies become cloudier toward the end of the day as the rain approaches on wednesday. f moon bay to 63 in san francisco. 64 oakland. 69 at fremont. and the inland east bay will see slow lowe 70s, as well san jose in the north bay. let's talk about our storm impact scale. the storm coming in on wednesday ranks one. a storm of light intensity. it will produce showers and scattered downpours. rainfall totals will probably be around half an inch, probably a little higher. but it will be a windy evening on wednesday with gusts of 20 to 40 miles per hour. the forecast animation starting at 1:00 a.m. wednesday. notice the rain that continues to develop in the morning hours will be mainly in the north bay, although some patches of lighter rain will move through other parts of the bay area. it will be later into the day into the afternoon when rain starts to become more widespread. in the evening hours it will intensify overnight wednesday into thursday, possibly with some thunderstorms there. and some periods of heavy downpours. yes projecting by 11:30

basically, it will pop open. it has a very cheap, inexpensive lock on it, and they can basically kick in and they're in. >> so let's open up this door. >> yes. >> the problem is aside from the locks themselves, there is not much securing in here? >> no, that's right. you can purchase quick remedies and fixes at a place like home depot or wherever you choose to purchase it. for instance, you can reinforce this piece right here. it will cost you about 15 bucks, which metal? >> with metal. reinforce it. make it a little deeper. you can reinforce this as well so that the wood doesn't split. the lock is a little more secure, and then you can also upgrade this lock as well. so those fixes all together would cost you about $30, and you can at least reinforce it. but the bottom line is this. if you really want the correct solution, you want a security door on the outside here. that way they cannot have access directly to this door, the security door will prevent the kick-in as well.
