mont's governor steve bullock is entering the 2020 race. he formally announced his bid for the democratic nomination in this video released overnight while you were sleeping. the big issue he wants to tackle is getting dark money out of politics. >> we need to defeat donald trump in 2020 and defeat the corrupt system that lets campaign money drown out the people's voice, so we can finally make good on the promise of a fair shot for everyone. >> bullock is pro choice and for marge equality. as governor he is for spending education in montana. bullock believes being a democratic governor in a red state could give him an advantage. he says he has the ability to bring democrats and republicans together, so with bullock now in the race, there are a total of 22 candidates vying for the democratic nomination for president. >> two more, two dozen, wouldn't that be exciting? >> thanks, jessica. new this morning, it took

firefighters, around 115 firefighters to put out this massive fire. this is at the blue diamond factory in downtown sacramento. a four-alarm fire broke out around 9:30 last night. when firefighters got there, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the 2nd floor. fire officials say three people were treated for smoke inhalation and the cause of the fire is under investigation. in the east bay, a family and friends are mourning the death of a high school student killed in a drunk driving crash. the chronicle reports the suspected drunk driver ashley marie oliver will be arraigned in court today. police said she drove head on, on highway 17 saturday killing 15-year-old armando canales. last night they held a vigil for the student and football player. his mom says he was just getting started with his life. >> he was looking forward to graduating, going to fire tech. okay. he wanted to do the marine

itself. he wanted to do, to be a fireman. >> authorities say he was headed to the beach with four other teens. he and two othersere not wearing seatbelts. walk san francisco came toke to honor pedestrians who have died if traffic crashes on city streets this year. this was last night on hyde street and golden gate avenue. the latest victim, a 60-year-old man. a bus hit him. less than three hours later, a motorcyclist died in a collision on pine and polk streets. 56 zero says there have been 14 traffic deaths in san francisco this year, eight were pedestrians. forward go bikes announces it is putting its bikes back. ebikes are expected to return next month. they removed them in april after receiving complaints about the brakes, some riders hurt themself after they say the

brakes locked up and flipped over. lyft says the ebikes will have a new design and the details will not be released. one of the oldest districts will hold a naming party to reshape it's identity. last month's vote to rename the school district dixie felt it honored racism. thursday's naming party will take place at miller creek elementary. people can also submit their suggestions for names in boxes at schools across the district. it is the battle of the brothers, steph versus seth as the warriors go up against the trail blazers today. it is game one of the western conference finals.o cf1 o >> oh, yeah. this is the warrior's quest for their title. jobina is looking splendid in her warriors shirt. >> reporter: good morning, yes, i got my outfit all ready to go

for tonight. history will be made on multiple fronts this evening. for starters, this is the first time in nba history that two brothers will play against each other in the conference finals. of course, we are talking about seth and most importantly steph curry. their parents say they plan to flip a coin to decide who they will support come game time. this will also be the fifth consecutive year the warriors made it to the conference finals. no team did that since the boston celtics in the 1950. unfortunately, kevin durant will not be on the court tonight. he strained his calf. demarcus cousins may be back sooner than expected. he tore his quad during the series. they swept the trail blazers when they last met in 2017. we are obviously looking for some of that to come around this time. but you know who wins no matter what here? sonia and dell curry. >> i know watching seth play, i get nervous watching him playing

fresh snow will fall on the sierras this week. this is video from earlier this year from the heavy snow in the mountains, a snowstorm will hit starting about midnight tomorrow and ramp up as it heads through thursday into early friday. as temperatures dip into the 20s. snow level down to 6,000 feet. up to a foot-and-a-half of snow is possible by the end of the week. i feel bad for those ski resorts. they had to close. sometimes the workers have to leave and mover on after the season is over. here's a look at what's going on back here at home. nothing like that mid-50s throughout most of our east bay neighborhoods, especially inland, concord 57 degrees. a little warmer there. same thing in oakland and san jose. we got cooler weather, villejo, napa 52. all right. in santa rosa. let's take a look at the winds out of the northwest at about 11 miles per hour. we have a sea breeze. you don't see the cloud deck mere. it will be cool, coy, if you

this is video showing lines at jet blue early this morning. they say it affected the airline reservation systems. number 4, what's app users need to update their app, that will cover a security flew that allowed the company to install spyware. they don't know how many users were affected. this may, highs in the 50s and rain, talk about it coming up in the seven-day forecast. number six, we got significant delays getting into san francisco, via the bay bridge. that's all becausef an inspection crew. they should be wrapping up shortly. as of a few moments ago, we had a few lanes blocked. 25 minutes, the meerkat lights are already on. number seven, game one of the western conference finals is tonight. this is a live look inside oracle arena. the sea of yellow, where the oracles will be taking on the players. all eyes will be on the brothers, steph curry and steph

curry. you can watch the game on our sister network espn. this just in. golfer tiger woods, his girlfriend and his restaurant company are being sued in a wrongful death lawsuit. his girlfriend erica herman is the restaurant manager of the woods restaurant. >> that is tiger woods' restaurant. it's located in jupiter, florida. an employee drank too much alcohol before being killed in a driving accident last year. his blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit. now the employee's family is suing. they are claiming management should have stopped him from drinking too much. they will be holding a press conference in just about two hours from now. so far, no comment from tiger woods. >> thanks, jessica. happening today, a former new york congressman anthony weiner's prison sentence is supposed to be ending. he served 21 months and spent most of that time in a halfway house, he's once the rising star

alexis. >> okay. we've had several issues, if you turn into the bay bridge commute this morning. the latest problem in emeryville, past powell. we have reports of a tanker truck that has its wheels catch fire. i believe that tanker is hauling cooking oil. so we have been following fire trucks around here on camera. i have not seen the truck that is reportedly on fire. so it's definitely heavy through the area, i know you can see that we've had some issues on the bay bridge as well. we had maintenance crews doing an inspection until about ten minutes ago, now i am hearing we have a disabled vehicle around treasure island as well. keep an eye on that bouncing back for late road work as well, 14 miles an hour once you make it to i-80. >> police say an uber passenger had to jump out of her moving ride to escape from the driver. >> berkeley police are telling us that same driver tried to

kidnap and assault a second woman. good morning, amy. >> reporter: hi, good morning. yeah, police say there could be other victims out there. so they want anyone else to please come forward and give them a call. here is a look at that uber driver. here is his picture. this is 23 years dubrel amar'e. she accused of trying to force two women to stay in his car and have sex with him. one woman threatened to break his window. so he released her. another jumped out of the moving car to escape. they happened within hours of each other, about two weeks ago. uber told berkeley that the allegations are troubling and the driver no longer has access to the uber app. uber offers safety tips for passengers, including sharing your ride with a loved one. they say they can track two you are with and where you are through the uber app. we have a full list of safety tips when you are on an uber on

really resent monsanto for that fact. >> this is the third case, all right here in the bay area against monsanto, it's proved round-up can cause cancer. bayer that owns monsanto calls the latest verdict disappointing. they will appeal. there are 13,000 cases in courts against monsanto and round-up. hang today, the san francisco board of supervisors will vote on a proposal to ban facial recognition technology. in a growing number of law enforcement agency use facial recognition to identify suspects in crimes. critics say facial recognition is prone to inaccuracies and poses a threat to civil rights. opponents of the ban say police need such tools to catch criminals. the ban would not apply to sfo or the poor. in the east bay, the oakland as have the green light to move ahead with plans to develop a new ballpark. the port of oakland will give

the team four years to carry out environmental studies and apply for permits to build the stadium. the 50-acre site sits along oakland's water front. supporters say it will create hundreds of construction jobs. opponents say it will drive existing port businesses away and cost jobs. the as want to build the stadium by 2023. >> oakland coliseum is about to undergo another name change. the san francisco chronicle says the long-time home of the oakland as and raiders will become ring central coliseum. the deal is valued a million bucks for the next three years. coliseum executives expect a vote friday. ring central specializes in corporate communications. water bills could soon get more expensive in the east bay, now discussing increases today. the money would go towards upgrading infrastructure and improving environment am protection. if approved, charges would increase 6.5% next year. rates would go up another 6% the

angel island and up towards san pablo. let's take a look at our neighborhoods in the peninsula. 50s through 9:00. mid-50s by 11:00. stay in the mid to mainly mid-60s through 35:00. one or two of us may get into the upper 60s. for east bay valleys, we're in the 50s through 9:00. a few areas especially highway 4 could hit the 70s. look how dominant the cloud cover is. it may be thin enough at times you will need sun glasses. it will definitely be the dominant feature. you can see the south bay, upper 60s to near 70 this afternoon after starting in the upper 50, a lot of cloud cover here also. take a look at the latest data. i may have to bump tomorrow's storm up to a 2, maybe. i can't remember the last time we had a 2 in may. so i'll take a look at that i first want to bring alexis in here, talk about the commute. >> we have a big issue. i was sneaking a peak on my

monitor. this is a change in location, but i was telling you about that tanker truck fire, a few minutes ago. originally it was reported 880 near powell. it turns out heavy traffic through emory victim. if you look on the west side of the screen, that is westbound 280 to get to the bay bridge. no one is moving. i believe that is where we have the tanker truck fire that is reportedly filled with cooking oil. they're saying it was almost fully engulfed. i'm not seeing flames, smoke, so i am trying to figure out what is going on, they are issuing signature ale sigalert. all lanes are stopped and you can take 880 to get to the maze. >> that is probably your best dale's little girl is heading to college. luckily, her dorm is about 10 minutes from a hotel by wyndham. ashley's meeting all her in-laws, and she's about 10 minutes from a hotel by wyndham.

the emergency department at mission bay campuses will remain opened. ucf says it respects employees' rights to representation and freedom of speech. happening in east bay, hundreds of teachers prepare for a strike next week. the meeting starts at 7:00 tonight at logan high school in union city. teachers in the new haven unified school district will box up and remove their personal belongings today. they plan to walk off the job a week from today if a contract agreement can't be reached. the district includes nine schools and 11,000 students. teachers are asking for a 20% raise over two years. the district says it can't afford those demands. in real estate, they always say it's location, location, location. >> location, location, unof the priciest is palo alto. one is going for more than $9 million. here's a catch, it doesn't come with a house. it's about supply and demand.

. all right. welcome back. we want to take you back to our breaking news, this morning in oakland, right on the emeryville border. we are looking live over a tanker truck fire on the westbound 580 connector to westbound 80. it looks like most of that fire is out. originally the calls to chp said the tires had caught fire. we are trying to determine if an actual tanker content caught fire. we were told they were hauling cooking oil. so to me it didn't look like it did. it looks like they have saved most of this truck. it did take fire crews a little while to get there. it was sort of a tough connection. this is the connector to westbound 80 in emory victim. everyone coming from oakland, trying to get to the bay bridge has just been sitting there. this has been a standstil. let me double check here with chp see what time those initial
