marriages, and look at this, crowds celebrated the monumental decision outside parliament. lawmakers faced intense pressure from both lgbt grums and church organizations that opposed the move. the law recognizes same-sex marriages and gives the same tax, insurance and child custody benefits. taiwan is its own self-governing democracy despite china claiming taiwan has its own territory. reggie? in the east bay a suspected gang super cell tied to serious crimes across the bay area has been busted. >> ten s.w.a.t. teams served warrants in san leandro and others. members of those gangs are accused of attempted murder, gun violence and other serious crimes. 16 people were arrested in all. that's in addition to 24 arrested in the last few months. >> these individuals waged war and took out the aggressions on

rival gangs throughout our city. >> dozens of guns were recovered by police. one weapon had been used in 17 different crimes. also in the east bay, hayward police are trying to identify and locate two home invasion robbery suspects. investigators released these surveillance images involved in the home invasion on monday in the fairview neighborhood. the men threatened a 19-year-old man and his father and stole valuables. the son was able to call police. officers got there as the suspects were leaving the home. police say at least one of the men pointed a gun at them. three officers opened fire but the suspects managed to get away in a two-door black honda accord. sonoma county's airport is getting tens of millions of doars ineraloney for a badly needed upgrade to its passenger terminal. charles schultz airport has grown by leaps and bounds with more flights and more destinations, but the passenger experience hasn't kept pace. the $10 million grant will help

with a $22 million project to build new tsa security areas, more seating, new bathrooms, a baggage claim area, also a rental car counter. construction should begin next year. the warriors are now just two wins away from reaching the nba finals for the fifth straight year as the series shifts to portland. last night at oracle arena the dubs had to rally from a 17-point deficit in the second half against the trail blazers. steph and seth curry turned the fourth quarter into a family affair. steph led the warriors with 37 points. his brother, seth, scored 16 points, making some big shots down the stretch for the blazers. however, the warriors escaped with a 114-111 victory. >> my parents, talked about the whole series and the last two games probably nerve-racking as heck for them. it worked out perfectly. he played well and we won. >> he said heck because he knew

mass is. down in the valleys low to mid-50s. even though we'll see more sunshine today, temperatures are still going to fall well short of average. they'll be more comfortable and drier. these will continue to fall. there will be a lot of upper 40s by the time the sun comes up later on in the next hour and a half. a look at south beach. you can see the western span of the bay bridge dry. if not your streets will be dry during the morning commute. cool this morning, mild this afternoon for mass transit and gusty breezes this morning if you're taking a ferry ride. a look at the north bay. you can see sunshine and clouds and temperatures jumping into the mid-60s this afternoon. how about for the east bay? we'll be pretty cloudy through 9:00. sunshine and clouds and low 60s this afternoon and we'll need the sunglasses -- there's supposed to be one more there and it was supposed to be san francisco. let me go ahead and show that you real quick before we get to alexis. san francisco stuck in the mid-50s yesterday. we'll be in the upper 50s to near 60 with a little more sunshine, especially from 11:00

we're going to have a story coming up about folks still skiing up in the sierra. this is one of the reasons why. a winter storm warning until 6:00 this morning. if you're leaving now, you're not going to run into it. a few more inches. because of the breezy conditions there may be limited visibility. there's a chance of valley rain, mountain snows up and down the sierra with sunshine breaking out in socal, nearing 70. some showers around chico, 68. eureka, 57 degrees. a look at heavenly and it's quiet this morning. in fact, this afternoon you can see just a few showers, mostly cloudy. 47. we've got a light wintry mix saturday and more snow mixing in and less rain for sunday.

this just in. some heartbreaking news about the internet's most famous cat, grumpy cat, the feline's permanent scowl turned her into an internet sensation, has died. that announcement was made by her family early this morning. the cat passed away after complications from a urinary tract infection. she was 7 years old and it was from that frown on grumpy cat that inspired so many internet mems, made her a viral sensation. the cat visited san francisco in 2014. hundreds lined up to get a chance to greet and meet her and to take selfies with the feline. before the grumpy cat moniker her name was tartar sauce. despite her dower loongmean sn'. >> len, our colleague upstairs, sent us a meme. i'm in heaven and i hate it.

>> skiing in july, it could be one of those years. take a look at what's going on back here at home. they're going to get a break just like we are. brighter, grab the sunglasses. it will be dry and milder this afternoon. now chances of rain return quickly, starting tomorrow morning through sunday and even monday and tuesday of next week. after that a little bit of a warming trend getting back closer to spring. so here is a look at what's going on. this area of low pressure is coming our way. i'll show you coming up the seven day. at 7:00 in the morning some briz out there. after 7:00 light rain develops and then moderate rain mixing in, as you can see even some yellows, oranges and reds in the north bay. there's a slight chance of thunderstorms and you're looking at cal berkeley. a commencement ceremony, definitely going to be wet.

san francisco bay ferry. our team watching this closely because in a few hours a federal judge in oakland will be hearing arguments on two cases they hope will block president trump's border wall funding. california and 19 other states brought one lawsuit and the sierra club and southern border communities coalition brought the other case. they are asking the court to decide that president trump's declaration of a national emergency is unconstitutional and unlawful. the state groups argue they plan to use billions of dollars of defense department money on the wall and budget appropriations. meanwhile department of justice attorneys say the funding plan is within the president's powers and does not even depend on the declaration of a national emergency. samsung may have a fix for a design flaw in its folding phone. >> we are a step closer to zooming around in air taxis.
