b.a.r.t. turn stiles and squeeze through them and jump over them. now they're looking at some new fare gates. each has its pros and cons but they share the same goal. putting a end to the problem that costs up to $25 million a year. we often focus on the issues plaguing b.a.r.t. as part of the better bay area initiative. >> besides fare evaders, we're looking at the plan to raise fares. >> reporter: b.a.r.t. tells us they are considering raising rides by 50 cents a ride. they say they're doing in it part to improve the trains. to crack down on security. they want to add more officers and to compensate for the fare evaders.

of. a review of tesla's lane changing technology says it could create a risk. it allows cars to automatically change lanes. in an article today, consumer reports says the feature doesn't work very well. it says it is far less competent than a human driver and even cuts off other cars. at least three deadly crashes including one in mountain view have involved the tesla assistance features. tesla maintains it is only to assist drivers and it is the driver's responsibility to remain in control of the car at all times. >> it seems like many of us can't get enough of subscription services. >> this o is amazing.

ford is hoping to get into the delivery business. it wants to do so using robots. dimming it walks like a high school can carry packages weighing up to 40 pounds and go up and downstairs. ford wants digit to be able to carry deliver 40s self-driving cars to customers' doorsteps. they say sometime it is inconvenient for people to walk outside and take a package from a self-driving car. they hope to roll it out by 2021. young robotics engineers, including some from the bay area, showed off their skills from the state capital today. they got a special visit from governor newsom. his office honored the four high school teams that won at the international first robotics team earlier this year of i think this shows you can be a high schooler and build these
