a day after that, brian carmody got the police report on the death and sold to it abc7 and other stations. >> in april, police asked carmody to release his source but he refused. on may 10, police raided his home seizing thousands of dollars of equipment. >> press groups across the country protested the raid. earlier this week a judge ordered him to return the equipment. >> now tonight, the police chief is issuing an apology in an interview. >> exactly two weeks after officers gave the search warn, seizing 68 items including cameras, cell phones and notes, the police chief bill scott has made a decision about that raid. >> your statement said you looked at this for the past 48 hours. what concerns did you come away with? >> we made some mistakes. we had some concerns.
