mom is close by. he's got the baby in his bare hands. he's got the owlette back in the next. >> so he creeps back down the ladder. will the dad accept the owl back into the nest? so the next day they go in with a special low light camera and they are able to capture this. >> as mom and dad were flying to and from the nest making sure that both chicks were well fed. >> that's cool. >> yeah. >> you just doubled the workload of this owl family. it's hard enough to find food for a baby. now they've got to find twice as much. >> when i thought about the bare hands, i was wondering are owls as sensitive to smell as a dog or a cat. but these owls are like that's our baby, we've accepted it back into our nest.
