it's sunday, june 2nd. good morning and thanks so much for joining us. i'm chris nguyen. let's start with a first look at the accuweather forecast. here is lisa argen tracking is a doppler seven. >> south into the south bay, visibility not too bad two miles to the coast because the deck is high. just over 2,000 feet. as we look at walnut creek, wow, yes, you can see it is pretty gray out there. that will change. 54 san francisco, we're looking at upper 50s in mountain view and mid 50s half moon bay and how about a drippy shot from santa cruz where it's damp with mist and drizzle. 58 and tall erma rein layer it will take time to clear. sun is above the clouds for mount tam and we'll look at a sunny afternoon, breezy at the coast in the upper 50s there and mid 70s around the bay and inland for the warmest location so you'll notice the absence of

approach to immigration calling out the travel ban and executive orders for strengthening border security. a bit of a scar at a related event at the move on forum. a man walked on the stage and grabbed the microphone out of kamala harris' hands. he spoke for 15 seconds before security removed him. if you want to see more of our coverage, we have that on our website abc7news.com. go to the politics section. firefighters are keeping an eye on a chemical plant after an explosion sent plumes of smoke into the air and recallin a sana neighborhood. it happened on norman avenue, the explosion caused a shelter in place for residents and businesses in the area. abc 7 luz pena has more. >> reporter: flames bursting out of this chemical facility shook buildings and residents at least five miles away from it.

>> you first heard the boom and then you felt like a wave of pressure of like a force just hitting you like all around you. just like moving you, slanting you back. >> reporter: several blocks from the plant, evan could see the flames from his business. he described them as 50 feet high. his first thought was to save his workers. >> i went outside and i saw a bunch of fire and then i told my workers to like hey, you guys just run to the back. >> reporter: at least four workers located on norman avenue were on site during the explosion. santa clara fire says they arrived on scene at 4:30 p.m. and all signs point to a leak. >> the tanker truck was in the process of being fuelled and began to leak and there was a loud hissing noise. the workers on site attempted to shut down the valve that was to fuel the truck. >> reporter: it took

firefighters an hour and at least three streams of water to put out the fire. the biggest challenge again is invisible. >> they wanted to make sure it wasn't still burning. >> reporter: businesses were evacuated and a two-block radius shelter in place for several hours was ordered by firefighters. >> i was just watching to see if there was another explosion to start running myself. that's how scared i was. >> reporter: as incredible as this might seem, there were no injuries and the fire department is investigating. in santa clara, luz pena, abc 7 news. in the east bay police are eyeing speed as a factor in a deadly crash that involved five vehicles. it happened just before midnight friday night in downtown berkeley. investigators say a speeding tesla slammed into a ford fiesta and pickup truck. the fiesta rammed into two parked cars and caught fire. three people inside the fee yie were taken to the hospital.

one passenger died. she' identified as 36-year-old lavette monarch of hollywooholl >> people were ceyelling and screaming. they grabbed three fire extinguishers from inside of the building as they blew out the fire. >> that witness said monarch and her sister were trapped in the burning car. her 32-year-old sister is in critical condition. five people in the tesla were injured and an investigation into the crash shut down hay street for 12 hours saturday. a 22-year-old man from san leandro was driving the tesla. he is cooperating with police who say alcohol and drugs aren't considered factors in the crash. happening today, you can watch the warriors take on the raptors in game two of the finals at oracle arena. the team is hosting a watch party tonight. the first 10,000 fans will get a free cheer card. game night concessions and merchandise will be available. doors open at 4:00 this afternoon.

as san jose. 53 morgan hill. half moon bay is at 54 and we had a better shot here awhile ago. this is emeryville. cloudy skies. 52 santa rosa and napa with mid 50s with that strong wind by fairfield it's in the upper 50s in concord and the clouds into livermore this morning at 57. interesting view from mount tam where we certainly have low clouds and fog at 2,000 feet. it will burn back to the coast and try to clear but temperatures are going to be only in the upper 50s at the shoreline. our forecast highlights morning mist, drizzle and fog. we'll get the slower clearing today and we will be warmer tomorrow, tuesday into wednesday. tuesday looks to be the warmest day of the week and low clouds and fog and napa and the san mateo coast and san jose and temporarily over into the east bay. so throughout the morning hours, the mid morning hours, it clears. we're sunny and then 10:30, 11:00 we have clouds at the

coast. southwesterly winds. late in the day, though, it begins to pull back the deck of low clouds from the san mateo coast temporarily and looking at narrow range of temperatures. here is a look at santa cruz where temperatures will be in the 60s today and you can see you have to it yourself now and numbers in the upper 50s from ocean beach, half moon bay and further south into santa cruz and monterey, a little sunshine if you hope for that. so as we look towards monday, 80s will be returning for concord and livermore and 70 in oakland and still typical at the coast. cool and tuesday everyone gets into a warming trend with mid 60s, to mid 70s around the bay and looking at 90s they should stay with you on wednesday. but wednesday begins a sea breeze for the afternoon and the rest of the bay. highs today 59 and 78 for you in san jose. more upper 70s. 72 should do it for santa rosa

and napa today and looking at the look ahead, the accuweather seven-day forecast. we're warming up tomorrow with mid 80s inland and by tuesday, it's hot inland with 80 around the bay. 90 inland and wednesday, looks like temperatures are going to begin to cool but it always takes another day or so in the inland valleys. mid 80s to mid 70s and maybe warmer than that and thursday, and friday those should be the cooler days. downloading the accuweather app, not tracking rain this week but those temperature trends. >> not a bad forecast. thanks. abc's new brand localish is inspiring stories. this week wheelchair boxing changed his life and helped him overcome a tragedy. he's paying it forward in the most inspiring way. >> i'm fighting for adaptive boxing. let it be known, one day we'll be in the paralympics. >> reporter: what are misconceptions about adaptive
