week. iguodala stepping in, knocks it down with confidence. >> jeff: you're coaching the results. you know the ball went in. you're saying it's a great shot. that's too early in the shot clock. if that misses, they're working with six seconds after a time-out. you're nuts. >> mike: and credit shaun livingston. he hustled, able to grab the ball and feed iguodala. now, a five-point golden state lead. the raptors obviously have to score quickly and then commit a foul. but they are out of time-outs. and there's their teammate, kevin durant, ready to greet his team as they're on the verge of evening up these finals. gasol. vanvleet. danny green. another three, shot won't go. that will do it. golden state has tied the finals.
7:47 pm
what a gritty performance on the road. another road win for golden state. and this best of seven series is tied at one game apiece. a heartbreaking loss for the raptors. and they'll head to oracle arena in oakland, all even. so many different players for the golden state warriors coming up big, including demarcus cousins. got the start, 11 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists. just his second game back after missing 45 days with that quad tear. and steph curry and klay thompson, 23 points. thompson injured. that will be a big story going forward. doris? >> doris: steph, it's hard to think of a team facing more
7:48 pm
adversity. you didn't look right. you lose looney and klay. how do you walk away after this road win? >> just playing to the finish. everybody staying composed. they're a great team, they make runs. but in the third quarter, we imposed our will, got stops on the defensive end. no matter how ugly it was down the stretch, we got it done. >> doris: they made a run down the stretch. iguodala takes the shot. describe the confidence or your thoughts when they released it? >> the whole fourth quarter, they were playing janky defense, and our whole roster took advantage of it. leaving iguodala open with that, with the game on the line, he's made big shots l so, he got it done tonight. >> doris: demarcus cousins hadn't played in 45 days before game one.
7:49 pm
plays just eight minutes. steve decides to start him. what was the influence on your group tonight? >> played aggressive, played smart, got other people involved, passing out of the post. made a couple of big shots. just gave us energy. we had two guys go down, he stepped up big-time. and he's playing in his first finals, this is big-time for him. >> doris: quinn cook, who has been out of the lineup at periods. when klay goes out, starts making shots. what gives him the confidence? >> he probably has the most confidence on this team when he goes out knows he can make. he works on it, and stays ready through the regular season and the playoffs. huge plays for us, for sure. >> doris: you told us the speed of the team was something that
7:50 pm
didn't translate on tv. what can you take back to oracle for game three? >> our defense wins games. i don't know how many fast break points they got, but they never created momentum with that tonight. kawhi got loose, but we played everybody else. just playing defense, man, being competitive, talking. draymond was our anchor tonight. and made enough plays to give us a cushion down the stretch. and that was it. >> doris: as poorly as you felt, thank you for hanging with me. mike? >> mike: another road win for these golden state warriors. they extend their nba record, now 23 consecutive series with at least one road win. amazing accomplishment with so many tough road games. and that basket by iguodala, the only points golden state had scored in the last 5 1/2 minutes of the game.

we're scotiabank arena. some dejected raptors fans leaving the arena, as their team loses game two to the golden state warriors. i'm here with paul, jalen, and chauncey. there's a lot to talk about, including some pretty important
7:54 pm
injuries that we'll get to. as far as what you saw from that golden state warriors team, that seems to be the third quarter team we've learned to recognize. >> this was a must-win for the toronto raptors. because these guys, they didn't take this game serious enough. when you're at home, and you come out in the third, and you allow an 18-0 run on your home floor, that should never happen. that tells me you didn't want it bad enough. when demarcus cousins outplays gasol. green gives you nothing, lowry didn't step up. this tells me you don't know what it takes. and the golden state warriors do, and it showed tonight. i mean, maybe they got a chance at golden state. who knows what is happening with thompson's injury. k.d. may be returning. but hats off to boogie cousins. tonight he outplayed pretty much
7:55 pm
the whole front line of gasol and ibaka put together. >> he was forced out there. a lot more minutes than steve kerr was going to play him. >> here's what i saw. at the end of the second quarter, first of all, in the first, klay got going. but this team is so different when steph curry makes shots. didn't make a field goal in the first quarter. came out at the end of the second, made three of them. then they figured it out. and the raptors started playing not to lose the game. >> correct. >> as opposed to just playing to win like in game one. and let me say this, too. iguodala, this generation's robert orrie. >> man, that was big. >> playoff basketball, makes big shots. swiss army knife. hats off to that team. i picked them to win this game, i wasn't very confident about it. but championship pedigree, championship dna. a great performance. >> absolutely. and for the golden state
7:56 pm
warriors, and we're going to give demarcus cousins a lot of credit and rightfully so. iguodala, making the big shot late in the game. doing it with looney and klay leaving the game with injuries. and k.d. not playing. but this game was all about draymond green. he vowed he would play a lot better on both ends of the floor. points were up, he was dropping dimes, getting boards. a couple of great stops in the fourth, stealing the ball from kawhi leonard. getting past siakam the entire game. no doubt about it. he started to push the tempo. we were in the building, it reminded me of the portland series, how he was pushing the ball off of makes or misses. then people getting backdoor cuts. and draymond green's energy and leadership and tenacity did not allow the toronto raptors to have a rhythm. it played itself out in the third quarter, when everybody show showed up and started being more
7:57 pm
produc way the raptors came out in the second quarter was bizarre. an 18-0 run, what happens? >> to me, everybody in the world knows this third quarter warriors team. i'm sure they talked about it at half-time, the raptors did. but you come back out, and everybody is second-guessing themselves. the shots they were shooting in the first half and knocking down in game one, they started pump faking, looking for somebody else. that's a fragile team. i disagree with paul, i don't think it was a must-win, but it was a big, big game. >> there's still something to the raptors' confidence. you get a performance like this out of kawhi leonard, you need to take advantage of that. >> vanvleet. >> vanvleet. you take advantage of that. but i'm disappointed in the rest of the starters, lowry, gasol, these guys, danny green, these guys just didn't show up. >> for me, it wasn't about what the raptors didn't do.
7:58 pm
it was all about the championship dna of the golden state warriors. all of the buckets in the fourth quarter were assisted. >> that will do it for us. as we head out west for game three at oracle on wednesday. late local news on the west, except for the west coast, with "jimmy kimmel live game night." see you wednesday.
