temps, meteorologist mike nicco has better news for you. it's on the way. it's hard to believe that when you walk outside this morning getting gray and there's some drizzle in the east bay and along the coast. watch out for that. if you look at our roof camera you can see not a lot of fog. the marine layer is around 1,800-2,000 feet. until then we have pretty much low to upper 50s through 7:00. and then as we head to noon, look at the spread, 50s at the coast. mid-80s for our bay and inland. 81 to possibly up around 90. we'll be close in some areas and still in the 70s for the most part at 7:00. so very comfortable evening on the way. how about the commute? here is alexis. i do have good news in the tri-valley between state route 84 and calaveras. a large pothole opened up. a hard closure was in place to repair that. a sig alert in effect until 5:00. looks like they got that done 15-20 minutes april head of schedule.

we're in the green through that stretch. and the south bay so far so good, 280 and 17. inbound traffic still very light. that's how it looks on our traffic cameras right now. this is just coming in. we have reports that a shooting with multiple victims happened overnight near a gas station in fairfield. the shooting happened around midnight, and i want to show you the new video we got into our newsroom overnight. it's an arco gas station. you see police out there with a car with the pump still in the vehicle. early reports from the scene say that multiple victims were taken to the hospital and they are doing a big investigation right now. you can see police on en we're working to get you more information. we have reached out to fairfield police. as soon as we do get any new information i will p aloriur ws. happening today in the south bay a kickoff of apple's big yearly

event. here we go. tech lovers are converging for the worldwide developers conference. >> over to abc 7 news reporter anser hassan live at the convention center. hi there, anser. >> reporter: good morning, guys. it's hard to predict what apple will unveil or discuss but take a look behind me right now, already some cheerleaders came out getting this crowd riled up. about 15 minutes ago people started lining up for the conference. a lot of tech analysts are saying one of the biggest announcements will likely be to apple's operating system. the next version of the mobile operating system will likely be called the ios 13 which powers the iphone and the ipad. it will likely include a retooled home screen, system wide dark mode and multitasking options. developers will get new tools so they can build apps that work on the laptop and desktop, unifying the apps all together. according to bloomberg the company is expected to announce

and for san francisco we have some 60s on the way with more sunshine as we get around 3:00 and 5:00. alexis? good morning, mike. overall we're doing okay here this morning. we want to give you an update on the peninsula. not too much has changed. southbound 280 before we get to larkspur drive. sounds like one vehicle was facing the wrong way blocking the two right middle lanes and the far right lane we had a tree down. i'm not sure if that caused the collision or was a result of it. we do have three lanes blocked and a little backup if you are coming down from the 380 split in the sfo area. a quick check of the toll plaza, a two-car crash reported before the toll booths. i am not seeing anything obvious on the camera but it's getting busy. no metering lights yet this should be happening within the next five and ten minutes. car-pool lanes are the only ones moving through without any issues. in the south bay students, teachers and community leaders are coming together to raise the rainbow flag in honor of pride

takeoff and landings. the faa says the part may be at risk of premature failure or cracks. 32 jets are affected in the u.s. so are 33 grounded 737 max jets. boeing says it's contacting affected airlines to get the potentially faulty parts fixed. we told you about a company that wants to bring pogo stick rentals to san francisco. we wondered if it was a joke. we talked to the man behind the swedish startup and he says the company called kangaroo assures us their on-demand pogosticks are real. the company's latest venture came into question because it has marketed spoof products in the past. it plans to launch jump into the future pogosticks to compete with scooters as a transportation option. >> wanted to find a way to spread joy and to help people staying healthy.

mike. we are taking a look at the roads today. we do have a two-car crash reportedly in lane number three at the bay bridge toll plaza, westbound 80 just before the toll booths. i have not seen any flashing lights yet. does not look like the bridge crew is there or if they are they're out of view of this camera. in any case the metering lights were flipped on at 5:20 this morning. that commute starting to ramp up. drive times, we're busy here as well. tracy to dublin already in the red, one hour, two minutes. no delays southbound dublin to mission boulevard holding on to the green at 17. an earlier pothole from yesterday was repaired and they opened up the lanes again right around state route 84. about an hour ago here this morning. and northbound 85 between highway 101 and cupertino you're still in the green at 15 minutes. developing news in the east bay, police shot and killed a man his family says had mental health issues. >> walnut creek police tell us his family called 911. amy hollyfield is live this morning. amy?

>> reporter: hi. take a look at the quiet, private street where this happened. tis is orchard lane in walnut creek. neighbors say it is a small, close community. the residents we talked to knew this man and were aware of his mental health issues and they said the parents had sent out emails about the man telling neighbors not to be afraid. but yesterday police got calls from the man's mother, grandmother, and a neighbor describing threatening behavior with a neighbor saying the man was at the door with a crowbar. police say they shot the man when he lunged towards them with a crowbar. he died at the hospital. >> we were here for him. we don't know what went down at the very end and we're heartbroken. >> reporter: officers say they first fired beanbag rounds at the man but said they had a little to no effect. five officers have been placed on administrative leave. police say they will release

we found out later he was the actual shooter and he was a co-worker. i knew him. i thought he was playing the part of an active shooter for our drill. >> the fbi has taken the lead in the investigation. officials say they're still in the recovery mode as of this morning, and i do want to update you on the condition of those injured victims. there are four right now still in the hospital in critical condition. an illegal sideshow is blamed for bringing traffic to a stop at one of oakland's busiest intersections. you can see the driver caught the backup. this is captured on their cell phone. you can see the smoke rising from the spinning tires. oakland police tell abc 7 news officers are conducting mandatory sideshow patrols on the weekends. in the south bay investigators are trying to confirm a gas leak is what

caused an explosion and fire at a storage plant. this happened at air products and chemicals inc. look at that. firefighters arrived and found mult tanker trucks on fire. workers said they heard a hissing sound while fueling one of the trucks. people living or working in a two-mile area around the plant were told to shelter in place until crews knocked down the flames. no one was hurt. this game was a comeback story. the warriors are back in the bay area after stealing home-court advanta advantage. >> taking game two but it did not come without a price. a couple key injuries this morning. for the fifth straight game the warriors fell behind by double digits. it looked like they were in trouble. they came out strong in the second hatch as they do and turned the gamnd klay thompson and kevon looney suffered injuries. the warriors were able to hold on to the win. >> it was a great win.

a little rougher north of the bay bridge where we have a small craft advisory starting at 1:00. a look at your peninsula temperatures. total sunshine this afternoon and mid-70s, down to 69 at 7:00 with sunshine. east bay valleys we're in total sunshine right around 9:00, 9:30. and then we jump quickly into the 70s and low to mid-80s from about 2:00 to 6:00 and then 77 this evening and down in the south bay we'll see the clouds linger longer. that will keep us in the 70s during lunch but low 80s in the down to a very nice 75 at 7:00. we'll show you our first run at 90s this week in the accuweather seven-day forecast. i hope your ac works. i want to bring alexis in and talk about the commute. >> good morning. a small amount of problems here today and i have updates on two of those. eastbound 92 before industrial. a solo vehicle crash. someone fell asleep and hit a telephone pole. excuse me, i feel like i'm going to sneeze. i will try to get past it.
