it will warm up as mike said. there are some road work scheduled southbound until 7:00 this morning, another pretty shot for you. this is also delay free right now, no major accidents on the freeways at this point. the drive time on 101 from santa rosa to petaluma is 580. once you get past the slowing, it's fine from castor valley to the maze, 16 minutes, northbound 101 from the south bay to highway 85 is 12 minutes. of course, mass transit, always a way to go. bart, ace and cal-trans reporting no delays. >> happening right now r, huge e protest in london. i want to show you these live images coming in, a lot of folks are holding up banners and signs.

heated that police had to escort some school board members out so today at 5:30, where do they he stand? well, when the teacher's strike began, they were demanding a 10% pay raise. since negotiations have started, they've come down to 6%. 3% this year, 3% next year. the district initially offered a 1% pay increase. they are now offering 2%. the teacher's association claims now the biggest road block is that the district won't accept a pay increase suggested in a neutral fact finding report. the district's response is that is not a full audit and doesn't reflect the district's finances. the school year set to end next week, the california teacher's association is now speaking out. >> any time there is talk it's hopeful. you know from what i have been hearing how the superintendent

has been behaving and the games the district has been playing, it's really kind of sad. >> both side returns to the negotiating table later today, reporting live, abc 7 news. >> thank you. now developing news in the south bay. a santa clara captain has been suspended from her job over a barbecue grill. i-team reporter dan noyesnoyesns this story. she was removed on friday. sources say lei used her own money to buy materials to have inmates build a barbecue grill and gazebo. sky 7 flew over the break area. sources say her bosses objected to her project because she did it without a building permit. she spoke with abc 7 news when she became the first female president of the correctional police officers association years ago. >> there should be fairness for

inmates and there should be fairness for the officer. >> reporter: a retired under sheriff says using inmate labor is not uncommon when policies and procedures are followed. he believes there is much more to her story. san francisco will pay $400,000 to settle a lawsuit over the deadly police shooting of mario woods. his mother sued after the 26-year-old was shot and killed in 2015. police say he was suspected of stabbing a man and refused to drop his knife. officers used a fawn lethal force but says woods still wouldn't drop his weapon. an autopsy found he had several drugs in his system. happening today, it is a big day for san francisco mayor london breed. she will officilly file for re-election. mayor breed is expected to address supporters at city hall after submitting her nomination documents to the department of elections. mayor breed will be joined by a large group of supporters, friends and family. the 44-year-old is the first african-american woman to serve as san francisco mayor. breed was elected to finish out

10-to-15 degrees temperature swings, coming through the extended forecast. the forecast well to the north. high pressure firmly entrenched over the top of us. places like san francisco will be a little warmer tan average, 72, not be too extreme. 71 in the mission. 75 in south san francisco. but everybody else pretty much in the mid-to-upper 60. head over to the east bay, sunny and warmer today. that's one of the cooler spots, look at all these 80s, berkeley at 79, everybody else in the low- to mid-80s over on the peninsula today, we got a mixture of upper 70s to mid-80s on the peninsula side. mid-60s over on the coast. down i should say up in the north bay, look at this, mid- to upper-80s. we touch 90 in santa rosa. let's head toward the south bay. see if there are 90s here. gilroy, everybody else in the mid- to upper-80s. a wealth of 90s, low-to-mid-90s. it will be hot everywhere. look at tonight, really comfortable. mount 50s to low 60s.

my accuweather 7-day forecast. it will be warm tomorrow. tomorrow evening, you notice the sea breeze kicks in. 60s and 70s for thursday and friday. the heat comes back, warmer sunday and monday. hi, frances. >> hi, good morning, everyone. we have a couple problems in the south bay. two accidents. we've had a few spinouts this morning. one is northbound 87, injuries have been reported in this crash. even though it's not blocking a lane right now, we could see slowing on northbound 87. northbound off-ramp there is an abandoned car they are trying to clear as well, here's a live look, highway 87 on the right-hand side. you see traffic light enough, hopefully that injury crash won't cause too many delays. in fact, the rest of the south bay is looking good. another solo car crash reported westbound 4 at bailey, this one may be an intoxicated driver. there is slowing at the scene, you see that yellow and that red. the ride on westbound 580 has

been slow as well. of course, we're tracking that westbound 4 ride with that crash at bailey from antioch to concord, it's now a 17-minute trip. good news san rafael to san francisco, an easy, breezy 20 minutes. san mateo bridge, traffic on the westbound on the right is looking good if both directions. >> frances, thank you. in the north bay, a protest outside a duck farm in the petaluma area. hundreds of people gathered outside the duck farm yesterday. some of them chained themselves together or to a fence. the group direct action everywhere says about a million ducks are slaughtered at that farm every year and it's been investigated for animal cruelty. our i-team looked into abuse allegations if 2014. the officials declined to comment. a burrito at chipotle could

cost a little more if president trump increases tariffs on mexico. the ceo says it could cost $15 million. the price of a burrito could go up about 5 cents to help the rising costs. we are hearing j.c. penney is closing more stores. it will shut down 27 locations this summer. one of those stores is at newark's new park mall. j.c. penney sales continue to slump. off more than 5% a year ago. the company operates more than 800 stores nationwide. >> all right. let's take a look at the summer spread that develops today. we'll start at the coast, we're at 66 at half moon bay. we head to a delightful 72 in downtown san francisco. check out the 78 in oakland. you hit those mid-90s in places like walnut creek and antioch. drink plenty of fluid, find some shade. it will feel 10 to 15 degrees cooler in the shade than in the direct sunlight today. we do it again tomorrow.

they do not want these to cause the commute to slow down so be aware that they are doing this. cal-trans is getting the word out. they have been work on it since concrete fell on to structure in traffic. it's happened now. the pieces of the concrete have hit a couple of cars. no one has hurt. cal-trans has now replaced 24 of the 31 joints and they will continue to finish that work. then they will turn their attention to the lower deck next year. these joints have been around since the 1950s. they want you to know they are doing this work at night. so they don't disrupt the commute so expect lane commute keep going over those plates at normal speed. >> now an abc 7 news live desk update. >> happening president trump is meeting with teresa may in

prime minister teresa may will hold a joint news conference. they are meeting right now. they have been meeting at 10 downing street for nearly 3 hours now. you can see the podium is set for both of them to speak in a short time from now. but what you don't see on is the many number of protesters, many waving eu flags. they are very opposed to brexit and trump. they see those two things as united. so there have been major protests across the city. there is a plan version of president trump in diapers as a baby. we seen a 16-foot statue of the president on a golden toilet and tweeting. we've seen wake up and smell the
