game six of the nba finals is at 6:00 followed by after the game live. >> let's move on. sky 7 captured this fire. it started in some grass and quickly spread to a house causing significant damage. >> at least one firefighter was hurt. it was near port elaine. chris reyes is live there at the scene. >> good afternoon. we did see a pg&e truck here while the crews were fighting the fire. we called for more information to see if it was the power lines that may have sparked the blaze. we're still waiting to hear back. the cause is still under investigation. >> shortly after 12:30 this afternoon. we had wires go down some place in this neighborhood that started a house and vegetation. >> the san jose fire department was in full force. one firefighter has been injured.

>> right now, the heat is taking its toll on the firefighters fighting this fire. the civilians that are in this area should stay out of the sun. stay plenty hydrated and avoid activity that's will cause problems. >> residents were evacuated on time. >> i was on my deck working and looking over the valley. i heard some loud popping noises and i thought, that's not good. after a little while, i saw some flames start. that's when i called it in. >> many in the neighborhood could not get back into their homes right away. >> i'm really worried about my dog. we have three english bulldogs in there right now. probably really hot. everything shut down. >> i'm going to my friend's house who lives on this street. i live right there by the fire. just trying to make sure i'm not evacuated. >> do you have an evacuation plan? >> no. my brother is up there. i grabbed some important stuff. >> as you can see, the crews have been cleared on the street

restoration. we are under a statewide flex alert because of the extreme heat. the state energy operator is asking all of us to conserve our electricity use until 10:00. that means turning off unnecessary lights and setting the air conditioner for 78 degrees or even higher. it's hot everywhere. >> it was the third straight day of record heat. the records so far. 100 in santa rose dlaflt 102, napa. 96, oakland. 101 in moffitt field. those are all records so far. mid 100 from fairfield to concord to livermore. we narly talk about june gloom. not scorching heat. it was 91 in san francisco. that's a drop in the temperature by six degrees compared to yesterday. we have a heat advisory in all areas.

they tend to overheat when you have a day like today. today they brought something as simple as air conditioners. >> portable air conditioners were delivered to a number of b.a.r.t. train control rooms to keep the equipment from overheating. still, there were heat-related problems throughout the day. mary cooper got off the plane from new york and rode b.a.r.t. to the macarthur station. >> it stopped in front of an empty lot for ten minutes. and then it went really slow. like i could have run along the track. >> the tracks had also expanded, making for a bumpy ride in places where the joints were not lining up. b.a.r.t. also had problems with the switches forcing trains to slow down. yesterday one of our producers fweetd the long lines just to get pastare gates at the montgomery station in san francisco. b.a.r.t. took technicians off
