rubber bullets fired into the crowd. umbrellas and plastic bottles, the only defense. withdraw, they shout. angry at a proposed extradition law that will allow mainland chinese authorities to pursue fugitives in semiautonomous hong ko kong. what you are seeing here is the after math of a tear gas attack. they fired on protestors down here and it's carrying in the wind. you can see people here struggling to breathe. many are just teenagers but they succeeded in delaying the legislative debate over this new law. hong kong authorities are adamant the bill will pass when it come to a vote next week. i'm at the police line here in hong kong. this is a city on lockdown tonight. no sign of it ending any time soon. protestors say they will stay in the street until a vote goes.

but the president is doing his own poll testing out a new campaign slogan. >> make america great again. keep america great. thank you very much. that's a free poll. polls don't mean a damn thing. >> reporter: the president is brushing off the new poll numbers. and joe biden isn't putting too much stock in them either. he said it's the beginning of a long marathon. as for the other 20 plus democratic candidates, a new move. a new policy showing that elizabeth warren is on the move. she is now four points behind bernie sanders. >> there is another poll that is making waves. this is an internal poll from the trump campaign. it shows the president down in some key battle ground states. >> reporter: yeah, and sources tell us that the trump team was taken aback by some of these results in key states like wisconsin and pennsylvania. some of those states that helped deliver the presidency to donald trump. the president's reaction, he was reportedly livid, cecilia.

another suspect now in custody this morning. our chief national affairs correspondent, tom llamas is there in boston with all the details. good morning, tom. >> reporter: cecilia, good morning to you. a lot happening overnight. as you mentioned, the one suspect was formally charged in connection with the shooting of david ortiz and another suspect was arrested. this as those close to david ortiz are saying they believe this was a hit carried out by hitman. let's go down to the dominican republic now with the person was formally charged. his name is eddy garcia. he is charged with accomplice to attempted murder. he confessed to playing a role in the shooting, but he said he is not the one who pulled the trigger. late last night, they have arrested a seconds suspect. police have not indicated if this is the gunman or not. they could be looking for potentially a third suspect and we're waiting on an announcement from the police department. so far they've not said they have the hitman, the man who pulled the trigger in this case. as for david ortiz, he is recovering here in boston.

we were told by his family that he took his first few steps yesterday after a second operation. his wife is very thankful to the red sox community, and to all the fans out there, but she's asking for privacy right now. we have spoking to medical experts who say david ortiz is lucky to be alive. a lot of people die from this type of gunshot wound and his type of injury. michael. >> we're happy he's on the mend. thank you, tom. now to the new developments in the case of a missing mother of five. her estranged husband is out on bond this morning after pleading not guilty. this comes as prosecutors say they found his dna at her home. linsey davis sat down with his attorney. >> reporter: this morning, jennifer dulos' estranged husband fotis dulos is out of prison. tuesday morning, fotis and his girlfriend, enters pleas of not guilty in the charges of evidence tampering and hindering

a prosecution in the investigation of dulos' may 31st disappearance. authorities say they found his blood in t and evidence of a clean up was found in the garage. findings fotis' attorney says she could be dead but not at the hand of his client. >> has he said i did not kill my wife? >> yes. >> does he have a theory of where his wife is? >> no. >> reporter: in an exclusive interview with abc news, he says his client, a real estate developer, has an alibi and several witnesses can place him at his home the morning jennifer went missing. but police say they have surveillance images showing a man they believe in fotis, stopping 30 times around her house, dropping off trash bags containing dulos' blood-stained clothing. >> rather than 30 bags, i'm told there are two. >> reporter: even if there is one bag that has blood of his

we will talk to ron goldman's sister and father in a moment. first, amy is here with more. good morning, amy. >> reporter: good morning, guys. we all know this case was a watershed moment for our culture. people can tell you where they were as they watched that slow speed chase. they can tell you where they were when the verdict was announced. all these years later, kim goldman is now confronting o.j. simpson. it's been more than two decades since the trial of the century captivated the nation. >> if it doesn't fit, you must acquit. >> reporter: football and movie star o.j. simpson fighting for his freedom accused of brutally killing his ex-wife nicole brown and her friend, ron goldman. >> we jury find the above titled action, the defendant o.j. simpson, not guilty of murder. >> reporter: in a verdict that divided the nation, simpson found not guilty. the goldmans left shell shocked. now 25 years after the murder, simpson says he and his children are now moving on. the now-71-year-old who was released from a nevada prison in

2017, after spending nine years behind bars for unrelated charges of robbery and ki kidnapping, seen in these newly released photos taken last week at his las vegas home, posing in his office and yard. he says he is happy, healthy and spends his days playing golf. telling "the associated press," we don't need to go back and relive the worst day of our lives. the subject i will never revisit again. my family and i have moved on to what we call the no negative zone. we focus on the positives, but the goldmans keeping the focus on the family member they lost. >> this is confronting o.j. simpson. i'm your host, kim goldman. >> reporter: in a new podcast, ron's sister, kim, revisiting the trial, interviewing everyone from investigators, members of the jury and kato kaelin who was living in a bungalow on the property at the time of the murders. >> did you ever talk to o.j. about the murders? >> he pulled me in the kitchen and said, you know i was here

with you. i said, no, i don't. i just kind of shook it off. i was like, is he trying to use me for something i think he could have done? >> reporter: in 1997, you may remember a civil jury found him liable for wrongful death. he was ordered to pay millions of dollars to the families of nicole simpson and ron goldman, but most of that has gone unpaid, robin. >> that's right. joining us now are kim and fred goldman. thank you both very, very much. kim, i know normally today you honor your brother in private. but you decided to speak out. why? >> this year has been about confronting, the name of my show. i figured, why not? do it all in one fell swoop, but i wanted to just face some of my fears, face some of my anxiety. force this year, so this is how i started.

>> and every day is painful. you don't need a day to mark that. what are your emotions especially today, fred? >> i think what happens is they just come -- become more intense. you're exactly right. it never goes away. it's always there. the pain is always there. the loss is always there. today is just that much more intense. it's hard for me to imagine it's 25 years. ron would be 50 now. i have a hard time understanding -- recognizing -- or reckoning that whole idea. >> remind people of the closeness, the family dynamics that you all shared. >> my dad doesn't ever let me say thank you to him for doing such a good job with my brother he raised us as a single parent. my brother and i were 3 1/2 and 6. i don't know how you did that but you created such a

close-knit relationship for all of us with a lot of trust and love and dedication. >> your brother was very protective of you, wasn't he? >> yeah, i was raised by two great men. my dad and my brother. my brother took really good care of me, always making sure i was taken care of and protected and following along and never alone, and he looked out for me at every moment. >> every picture, every memory i have of the two of them as together, ron holding kim's hand, always there to be there for her, protect her. if she had some issue, ron was always going to jump in and take care of it. there was one time where kim had some issue on the school bus and ron jumped in. he was there the next day to give the kid a little knowledge that he better not do it again. >> don't do that. which is coming out, you talk to the major players in the case. you know, you went right to them to interview them. what were you hoping to accomplish with this? >> i think all these yea it's been a little frustrating. there's been so much about this case that has been made, all the television seerries, and all th fictional approaches, that i thought it was important to go right to the source. these are people who lived a very similar lifestyle that my dad and i lived in similar directions. i want to understand how they function in the aftermatsz math of all of it, and i wanted to go to the source. i went to marcia clark, chris darden, kato kaelin, some of the jurors. >> you talked to the jurors. what did you fine? >> they pulled testimony just to cover up that they already knew what their answer was when they

went into that jury room and wasted our time for 3 1/2 hours making up just fake deliberation so they could look better. >> pretending like they were doing their job. >> they said the jurors you spoke to had made up their mind. >> their mind was made up and 3 1/2 hours was a coverup. >> you talk so much in your podcast. you really go there, kim, and when you talk about o.j. simpson, and about how you tried to meet him when he was in prison, and that you had a a parking lot. >> yh. it was a couple of years after the verdict. i saw him walking across the parking lot, or what i believed was him. i was by myself in my car, and i saw that gait, that natural gait that have been following for so many years, and i revved the engine and i dwrgripped the steering wheel thinking, i could take him out right here and nobody would know. >> that's not you. >> no, and i would never do that to my dad. and you're right, that's not me.
