fire that killed 36 people in the oakland warehouse in 2016. harris and co-defendant are charged with 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter. homeowners in pittsburg hope a brush fire that came close to home is not a sign of things to come. the fire broke out yesterday in a subdivision between highway 4 and north parkside drive. look at these images from sky 7 overhead. firefighters were battling the flames. and watch in a moment. look at how close that is to the homes. crews are able to protect them. >> can you imagine? and then in the east bay, crews are removing grass and brush that could fuel a wildfire. sky 7 was over camp park in dublin. firefighters did the control burn. the fire department says this serve twoz purposes. it helps firefighters train and also create gaps known as defensible space. the aim is to reduce the risk of wildfires reaching homes in dublin and san ramon. >> a new recall impacting more than a million ford vehicles. >> also california lawmakers pushing for some new rules when

has been clearing to the right shoulder. you are slow and go across the span. and until you good et to the san francisco side of things. then it does sort of lighten up there a little bit. expect delays. you may bant want to take bart the city. it is bumper to bumper there too for about a mile backup approaching the toll plaza. then you can see slow and go across the causeway and the upper high-rise section. so give yourself about 20 minutes to get across that span. you can see the slow and go out there. and we're still experiencing no ace train service today. they had a gas leak in livermore. they determined the gas leak is safe but for today they canceled all service and hopefully tomorrow we'll be back on track with that. >> here's the 7 on your side quick tip. when you're picking between one shopper with a full cart and four or five shoppers with just a couple items each, select the guy with the full cart.
